08/04/18: Unfortunately, had an issue with the tint on the windshield (ghosting from defective tint) which bugged me. Once again couldn't be happier with Tim's level of service. Quickly scheduled me (I'm usually busy on weekends as I work for a utility company) on a Saturday which I was lucky to be off. Without any hesitation said he would remove and re-tint the windshield. In the past I've usually had to put up a fight when claiming warranty work but not here @ Adonis. Tim wasn't sure if the issue was with the glass or with the tint but mentioned he wouldn't know until the film was removed. Keep in mind this film is hella $$$ and isn't exactly easy to tint. It was pretty amazing to see him remove the tint without any residual adhesive being left to clean. This made the re-tinting process super easy for the installers. Also, had Tim remove the console wrap that i installed from RPM Tesla which kept lifting. He replaced it with Xpel stealth and couldn't be happier now. If anyone is looking to purchase from them, I'd strongly advise you not to as their customer service is one of the worst I've experienced recently. Countless emails have now gone unanswered in close to 3 months. I manage a large private exotic car collection in North County San Diego (JMFPgarage.com), and we've been using Tim at Adonis Detail for quite some time, now. I believe that it's been since February or March. We sort of "tested" out Tim's business when the owner of the collection had Tim detail one of his daily driven cars. For that particular car, Tim did a full paint correction and CQuartz coating on the car. It was incredible how much of a difference it made! Tim also took the time to explain all of the damage that he found on the car, and he pointed it all out to us as well as took before and after photos. Since then, Adonis Detail has paint corrected and coated 5 more cars for us. On the 458, they removed the clear wrap from the entire car prior to paint correction and coating, and on the 993, Tim did a full wet sand prior. We currently have a long list of cars on the Adonis Detail to-do list, and I must say that after 6 cars, we are still incredibly happy with his services. I will update this review as we go along. Note: Work was done before end of 2016 but I gave it time before I felt comfortable with posting a review. My best present for Christmas 2016 was getting to know Tim at Adonis Detail. Christmas is not about 'things', it is about people and relationships. Meeting such an honest and hardworking individual like Tim gives me faith that there are people out their that value their reputation over "one and done" transactions. When it comes to services, we all need a GOTO person. When it comes to window tinting and paint protection films, Tim is my man. I have had 7 personally owned vehicles tinted/filmed by various vendors throughout Orange County. Being a diligent Yelper and car forums participant, I have successfully found excellent vendors that I have no complaints about. While I had no complaints, none of my other experiences were remarkable even though I felt they would have earned five stars. They earned five stars because they did what they promised. For people like Tim, Yelp really needs a system where you can grant 6 stars on a very limited and selected basis. Six stars is when you way over-deliver on what you paid for. The vehicle that I needed tint and paint protection film on is a Tesla Model X. It is a vehicle that requires someone experienced with Teslas, someone with an already established reputation working on high end cars, and someone who works with higher end tint and paint protection films. I had a short list of about half a dozen five star yelp vendors/Tesla Motor Club references that I decided to follow up on to work on our Model X. I interviewed them all for materials used, pricing and my gut feelings/experience from years of professional vendor valuation. Two of the six vendors I already had prior experience with. One of them did Xpel film on my wife's Audi Q5 a few years back. Another vendor I tested with our Chevy Volt while the Model X was on order. Trying to find the right balance of price/reputation/materials I selected Tim. Driving a Tesla means you are not broke. Driving a Tesla doesn't mean you are necessarily loaded either. I have to hope I made the right decision when it comes to this level of investment. One extra consideration was distance. I'm coming from Irvine so it takes me 90 minutes one way. I was hoping my efforts would pay off. One thing about car detail shops is you don't "really know" who ultimately touches your car. While the business itself might have a reputation, you don't have detail on the individual workers themselves. With Tim it's not taking to a salesman. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that Tim himself does all the paint protection film. I like it when all the accountability is with one person. For the work, I went with Complete Whole Car Specta Photosync Window Tint (Front Windows, Rear Windows, and Windshield) Complete Whole Car Xpel Ultimate Paint Protection Film (Front Bumper, Front Fenders, Hood, Mirrors, Lights, Rear Bumper, Rear Fenders, Four Doors, Trunk Lid, Wing, and Pillars) The majority of the work done was custom with few kits. What I especially liked was the attention to detail. Tim removed license plates and badges which necessitated a trip for Tim out to the Tesla Service center to buy new badges. 5 years ago, I had Adonis install paint protection film on the front of my then new 2014 BMW 328d. The job was done absolutely beautiful with all the seams, etc lining up perfectly. I found Tim and Adonis online and chose to go with him after reading all of the reviews and speaking with him at length several times before turning over my car to him. I have a brand new Audi S4 and have babied every car I've ever owned, doing the detailing myself. With work and life these days, I don't have the time to spend a whole day every month or two and Tim recommended going with Modesta coating. He is a true professional, and even picked me up from the train station after leaving the car with him to cure overnight. He spent a good deal of time going over how to care for the car, and all I can say is that he truly made me feel like he treated it as if it was his own. I searched online for the best Paint Protection Film (PPF) installers and Tim Coats seemed to get consistently great reviews. I am over a hour away but felt it was worth the drive. He did a full custom install with XPEL Ultimate Plus and tinted the front windows / windshield. He also removed the chrome badges and painted them black. After getting the car back I did a close inspection of every edge and I am very impressed with his work and the final product. There was an edge that opened on the trunk and he offered to drive over an hour to my place for the 2 minute repair. Its been over a week and the fix still looks perfect. Tim is a very talented film installer and knows the products and industry well. After talking to multiple detailers I chose to go with Tim at Adonis Detailing. I wanted to Nano coat two cars and polish a third, so needless to say I wanted it done right! I have never done a nano coating to any of my previous cars so this technology was new to me. After talking to Tim on multiple occasions I was able to settle on a particular coating. What was great was that Tim did not push one particular product on me. He spent a good amount of time explaining the different coatings and their pros and cons, IE. longevity, scratch resistance and price point, so I felt like a made an informed decision after talking to him. The results: I can say my wifes 2016 Volvo XC90 looks amazing! It is black in color and this is something I should have done earlier but Tim went the extra mile and made it look awesome! My 2016 Audi S7 looks way better then when I picked it up from the showroom floor, the shine is amazing with the coating and the paint just pops! Washing of both vehicles and wheels is now way easier after the nano coating is on there. My 3rd car which was a lease return just got inspected by Lexus and the inspector said it was the nicest car he has ever inspected!!!! Needless to say I won't be getting a bill from Lexus on that one. Tim did an amazing job. I really wanted to protect the paint on my car over the long term. I have had rock chips on the front end on previous cars that drove me crazy. This time around I didn't drive my new ride at all before I had it bubble wrapped and hermetically sealed. I had him do my PPF, ceramic coating and window tint. Tim did a complete nano wrap of my new Tesla Model X. You can not tell that there is a wrap on my car unless you open the frunk (that's the front trunk) and feel the edge of the wrap. I just picked up my 2014 911 Carerra S from Tim. I had the clear bra and nano paint protection coating put on. All I can say is: WOW. I have not seen this car shine the way it does now. I would HIGHLY recommend Tim and Adonis. After doing a ton of research on PPF's which could be installed in one piece for my new Porsche Macan GTS, I found Tim and Clearguard Nano SR. I personally don't like the look of the seams you get with the other available products. Other shops told me it couldn't be done on a Macan but Tim was able to install CGNSR without stretching the film. Tim let me know it's a difficult install but his attention to detail and eye for perfection resulted in a great install. I'm very happy with the result and have since let my dealership know about Adonis. I have Carrara White paint and the brilliance of the metallic paint still shows through. You can't tell it's on the car. That was another concern I had with other films. Tim also did paint protection on the entire car. I've since washed the car 2 times and it's SO easy and QUICK to wash. The painted Sport Classic Wheels clean up easily even with heavy brake dust. I'm loving this car and If you have a Macan and want to get PPF, I encourage you to speak with Tim.
