They have a HUGE outdoor seating area.

Tip: Storefront is hidden from Dundas St. It's located right at the corner of Stanfield/Dundas, just west of the Canadian Tire. It's huge, new, clean, and everything looks fresh - including the seafood! The other Adonis is out of my way, so it's good that they opened up another location near Dixie/Dundas. I may hafta add this into my regular rotation of grocery stores! Aside from their large produce section, they have a long seafood, baklava/cookies, bakery/desserts, and prepared foods aisles. They also have freshly squeezed juices for $2.49/$2.99 - while Whole Foods has similar for 3Xs the price! Good prices on baked in-store pitas for under $1. HUGE sit down section, both in/outdoors. Since there's mad competition amongst grocery stores, there are deals to be had here. I definitely grabbed some!

Octopus salad - not bad but I wouldn't write home about it

I love Middle Eastern food and can't believe it took me so long to try Adonis. Huge supermarket with a delicious hot bar. The nut and olive section is awesome too and very well priced. Service at the hot bar is hit and miss though. Depending on who is working, you might be ignored. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Talk about efficient; I'm not exactly sure how they jam-pack all these items into such a small…read morespot, but they do it. This place has most of your Latin American needs in the Niagara region. The clientele here are through and through Latin American, they don't speak a word of English :) Loads of stuff you won't find in your grocery store like: hot empanadas, Cafe Bustelo coffee, Jaritos, Inca Kola, cactus, pozole, hominy, plantains, yucca (not that expired crap they serve in Freshco/No Frills), and Mexican hot chocolate. My only minuses for Los Amigos are: to go tamales need to be heated; no cooked arepas; and no alfajores.

Not all clientele that shop here do not speak a word of English as shockingly mentioned in the previous post (as you can miraculously see I do not only speak, read and write in English but seven other languages as well). :D There are other latin shops in St Catharines too but this one is the best and it has the most variety of products. And all the people who work here are super friendly and helpful too. They always say "hola" and welcome us as soon as we walk in.

There's an aisle of sweets and an aisle of baking ingredients. Another aisle of non perishables, and drinks, and bulk candies as well. Even a pharmacy. Really a great variety and different items than what I've seen at other Eastern European stores in the area. Highly recommend!

They have one of the largest selections of Kvass that I've seen out of any of the Russian/Ukranian stores and all very reasonably priced. They also sell Kefir. As mentioned in the previous review, they also sell medicine/pharmacy that you'd typically find in Russian and Eastern Europe, so it's pretty unique to see it out here. Store clerk was friendly.

I've been buying this olive oil for a long time and never had a problem before. I even recommended…read moreit to others. But recently, I bought a bottle, and when I used it in my cooking, the food came out tasting awful. I tasted the oil on its own and realized it had a strange, old, off taste -- something clearly wasn't right. It might've been expired or gone bad somehow, even though I had just bought it from the store. So I did what any reasonable customer would do -- I called the number listed on the bottle: Pristine Promotions Ltd. in Toronto (416‑259‑3737). What happened next was extremely disappointing. Instead of listening to my concern, the man who answered immediately got defensive, started talking over me, and insisted his product is "number one" and that they "never have problems." He wouldn't let me explain my issue. I told him I live in London, Ontario, and I asked if there was a way to send the bottle back -- maybe a shipping label or return option, since it was clearly defective. But he refused. He was rude, aggressive, and unprofessional, saying it wasn't his problem and that I'd have to drive it back to Toronto myself. When I calmly said this isn't good customer service and that I might leave a review, he mocked me and said: "Go ahead. Leave whatever review you want." This is not how a food company should treat a loyal customer who simply received a bad product and tried to handle it respectfully. Businesses that stand behind their products know how to handle issues with basic courtesy, responsibility, and respect. Sadly, this was the opposite. I won't be buying from them again, not because of the olive oil -- but because of how they chose to handle a real concern. That tells me everything I need to know.
