Place is trash , food is bad used to be good but they fell off. The customer service is terrible and let's not talk about the managers

I have been to this place twice. I must say food is excellent, atmosphere and music is good, but the parking situation and automatic gratuity is ridiculous. Tips should be rendered after service. Tips should be according to the type of service received, not automatically put in every bill. If everyone pay separately you still get 20% rather service was good or bad. Parking is 20 dollars even on days they not that busy, and its self parking for 20 dollars, what is valet/security doing out there if i am parking myself for 20 bucks. Management needs to do better. I visited the establishment on 4/15/22. I was charged 71.30 on my credit card. My bill was 51.30. I gave a cash tip. Someone altered my receipt. I reported it to my credit card company along with a copy of my receipt. I have called them and left a message with no response. Poor customer service. Overall it's a nice bar and it has a nice atmosphere. I was disappointed with the drinks... too strong and I asked for easy and sweet. I should have just ordered a shot and sipped that H*e slowly, it might have been better. One of my girlfriends also ordered a drink and it was missing half the drink. Also if you come here and order a hookah it's paid for separately and you have to do it through cash app. What a nightmare. Sad. read more

Do not Come here this hookah company treated us like We didn't belong here . Hookah was $25 And I paid $35 to include a tip . Do not come here they picked my hookah up and said I didn't pay for it even though I did and had receipts argued with me and called security to escort me out after I brought it to their attention . Also , I ordered 4 shots of Dusse and I noticed that the bartenders was pouring 3/4 of an ounce of a shot when they are require to pour 1 1/4 ounce . I tried to support a black owned business and have a bit of a Sunday Funday. When we entered we were told it was self seating. My sister and I selected the perfect table. About 10ish minutes of being seated and after ordering our mimosas, our waitress came and told us one of the partners, Tony, wanted the table because that's his usual table. I asked her how could he accommodate us for asking us to move. He personally came over and began to go back and forth with me, wondering how he was inconveniencing us. He walked off angrily, after not understanding how he was inconveniencing us. Don't eat here!! It's not worth the headache. Go to Midtown Bar and Grill. I visited A'dor with a friend for brunch yesterday and all of the food was very meh. I ordered the $25 champagne bucket with 3 mixers (a stellar deal), 2 shrimp and grits, a side of breakfast potatoes and a side waffle. The shrimp and grits were very bland. It was a huge chunk of plain grits with a butter sauce and 5 shrimp. The butter sauce was tasty but the dish needed wayyyyy more sauce to compensate the bland hunk of grits. The shrimp were grilled with 0 seasoning. We had to add salt, Pepper, and hot sauce to get a little bit out of the dish. The breakfast potatoes were good but needed salt and hot sauce. The waffle was very, very plain. It tasted packaged and lacked texture. The vibes were on point & the music was great but, overall, I will only come back to have a drink or 2. Only thing that would make this place over the top is if their drinks were stronger. I ordered 2 drinks and couldn't taste the liquor. It took a shot and a different bartender for me to be satisfied. I visited A'Dor today (MLK) weekend for the very first time with friends, and the service was HORRIBLE! Actually it was worse than horrible and I will never go there again. It took over an hour for me and friend's wings to come out. The waiter would forget things from our orders, including her notepad. The $14 Sidecar cocktails came in half full glasses, when they came out 20/30 minutes after they were ordered. I was very disappointed and the waiter didn't help the situation. Also, a group woman that were leaving Adore stated those exacts things took place before we sat down. Let me first say that Leah is amazing! Food was decent besides waiting over an hour and a half for mozzarella sticks and wings. Then on top of that waiting over an hour and a half for a refill on hookah. Hookah people were very rude and did not offer good service until I spoke with the manager. I ordered my friend birthday cake shots and was told that the bar did not have whipped cream. An hour later another table got the same shots with whipped cream. I do applaud the manager for rectifying the situations though. Hopefully next time will be better. This was my first time going to this spot and let me say I was turned off from the minute I attempted to enter the establishment. I have been visiting Houston for almost 8 years and have never had a negative experience until now. Me and some friends were looking for a socially distant space with outdoor seating and found this place. We attempted to enter after showing ID and were told that one of our party could not enter the area because he had on athletic shorts. We watched several people walk out right in front of security with athletic shorts, pajama shorts and various types of shorts. We asked why this was the case and we were being denied entry and were given 2 simplistic, contradictory statements. Next security asked us to slide him something and he would make an exception.......Listen, as someone who has traveled and gone to many clubs throughout major city's here and abroad, I just found it ridiculous to have this exchange over a pair of shorts, when we are watching multiple people walk out with the same or worse shorts and we are attempting to support a business during this pandemic. read more

We to A'dor on a Sunday. This was me and my friends first time going. The wait was only about 5 minutes. Then our waitress Asia came over immediately. The entire establishment was definitely practicing social distancing. Asia as well as the other waitresses all were wearing masks. The food and the drinks were great. I had the wings. They were fried perfectly. Asia remained very attentive the entire night. I think we stayed at least 4 hours because the DJ was good. Would definitely go back. Sunday seems to be the best day. Very strange spot. My friends and I came here because we were at a nearby restaurant in the area. We joined two others in a booth here. Straight away we ordered a bottle of Patron. After the bottle was delivered, the waitress came over and said unfortunately her and another waitress (Kinnidi) had to temporary switched sections and Kinnidi wanted her section back, so we had to move to a table. Girl what?? First off, you have to discuss that with Kinnidi. I told her I was not moving and she should've said something before we ordered the bottle. Kinnidi came by a couple of times very very unwelcoming to ask us if we would like anything else. The original waitress came back and said Kinnidi was mad because we were still in her section. I kindly asked the waitress to charge my card under Kinnidi's name so I can tip her and so that they can stop pressing us. We were told we had to move because someone bought the section out, but the section directly next to us was empty 15 minutes after we arrived and was never sat the whole time we was there. So why couldn't the party that "bought out our section" sit in that empty booth, or why couldn't we move to the empty booth? I know yall aren't that press for tips, so pressed that you make your clients feel uneasy. Here's some advice from someone that did bottle service in Los Angeles for five years- work smarter, not harder. Instead of Kinnidi being "mad" at us and the other waitress, double team and work the section together. You would've made way more money and it wouldn't have made us felt uncomfortable each time they came around. Not only that, our bottle was only $350 with 15% gratuity (which was $52). I know damn well you're not complaining about $52. I actually ALWAYS tip on top of gratuity, but you just messed your whole bag/night up because you had an attitude we was in your section. Do better Kinnidi. I definitely will not come back to this establishment, but best of luck. read more

Went to A'dor for the first time today and was highly disappointed. I went when the restaurant first opened. Upon entering, all of the waitresses were sitting around, on their phones or having a drink. It was a few minutes before someone acknowledged us and told us that we can sit wherever we like. A young lady, who wasn't our waitress, took our drink order and told us that our waitress would be over soon. About 10 min later, that same woman came back and asked if anyone had been over to take our order yet. We told her no, and she took the order herself. I appreciated her for that. About 20 minutes after we had been there, our actual waitress came over to our table asking if someone took our order. The whole time, she had been sitting at the bar, having a drink and on her phone. For the rest of the time we were there, our waitress did not check on us. Our drinks were left unfilled. When she dropped our food off, she just walked away without asking if we needed anything. I had to stop her before she got too far away to ask for condiments. We had to go to the bar to ask for a refill on our drinks, and the bartender informed our waitress. We watched our waitress grab the lemon for our drink with her bare hands, after she had just been using her phone. None of the waitresses had on masks. Our food order was wrong and had to be send back to the kitchen. And the food does not look how it's advertised on social media. Our waitress did not deserve a tip at all, but unfortunately, 20% gratuity is automatically included in the bill. I had high expectations for this place but was highly disappointed.
