I have had my cat for a little over two years now and felt like I should write a review. Carol was very easy to work with although the waitlist for my cat took a very long time (definitely a few months wait during the pandemic). I have to say that when I first got my cat he was absolutely loving from day one. I remember within an hour of having him he was sitting on my lap. However, I had a lot of difficulties with his health as a kitten. I do not know if it was because pure breeds have more sensitive stomachs but the first month of having him he was constantly throwing up and having diarrhea. In fact he had diarrhea everyday for like the first 5-6 months of ownership despite me feeding him exactly as Carol had instructed. The vet could tell that there was inflammation in his intestine but could not determine the cause. I spent quite a lot of money trying to ensure he was healthy. Despite the constant stomach issues, he always seemed happy and alert. Eventually he outgrew the issues and now he is a magnificent boy. I feel like I have the most beautiful cat in the world. Not only is he gorgeous to look at, he is also so loyal and loving. Every morning when I am starting to wake up he crawls into my arms and snuggles with me, when I am doing my makeup for work he sits on the toilet cover and keeps me company, and when I come home from work he is always at the door waiting for me. He is also wicked smart and recognizes his name and can sit, turn, high five, and lie down. Despite the health scare, I am the luckiest person to have this cat in my life! I don't know how Carol breeds them but he was exactly what I was looking for in a companion. read more

Let me preface this by saying, I have done my research on ethical breeders. This cattery checks ALL the boxes. It would be a dream of mine to get a kitty from here. This review is based on an interaction with Carol. I am on the spectrum and have a very blunt way of speaking. Instead of asking for clarification for a concern, she made her own assumptions and rejected me immediately. This is heavily disheartening and made me extremely sad as I looked up to Carol, she seems extremely knowledgeable and incredibly involved in the cat community based on the information provided. My goal was to get a brave cat to be my anchor in these trying times while I figure myself out in the world. Instead of listening, she shut me down and took my voice. I wanted to leave an updated review as it's now been a year and a half since we've brought our beautiful baby home and he continues to get even sweeter as the days go by. Super inquisitive and playful. Gets along very well with other pets. Beyond the obvious adjectives of gorgeous, he is very strongly trained to use the litterbox - has never not gone to the litterbox. Very well socialized - always there to welcome guests and you can touch him anywhere without him minding. I have to say, Carol is by far the most sweet, loving, and caring cattery owner. Purchasing a pet for the very first time, I was very excited yet hesitant. I had lots and lots and lots of questions (that might have sounded dumb to people who already owns a cat), concerns, and more questions. And now about Shawntay: SHE WAS AN ABSOLUTE BEAUTY. She was healthy, amazing, and beautiful. The kittens are very well taken care of at Adorable Dolls, and their living environment is immaculately clean. Summary: Absolute experts in the arena. The level of expertise & compassion Carol seamlessly brings to the table is nothing short of incredible -- it is impossible to ignore just how much she truly cares about every detail when it comes to her Ragdolls. In November of 2019, we reached out to Carol at Adorable Ragdolls. She carefully interviewed us and we, in turn, did the same. Both parties clearly prioritized the Ragdoll's quality of life -- something that is often marketed by the breeder but in the end, comes down to the financial gain from the sale. (I'm quite confident that Carol would not have sold us a Ragdoll if we had offered to pay 2x the price but weren't a healthy fit for the kitten.) After the course of several interactions and learning about how she cares for her cats (she makes their food from scratch), I had not doubt that this was where I wanted to get our future family member from. A few months later, the litter came, and our name was up... unfortunately, the pandemic had also just begun as well. At the time, we were still struggling to get our grip on how life would be operated moving forward, so sadly, we had to decline. Carol intuited that, though we were very interested in getting a Ragdolll from her, we were a bit overwhelmed. (She even gave me the exact IDEXX # for a test for Mimic!) I did not get a kitten from Carol, but would have loved too. I am only leaving a review because I thought the review from Trisha M was unfair and not my experience with Carol at all. Trisha M. left another one star review for another reputable cat breeder (Furreal Ragdolls) alleging the same thing, that the breeder was rude and snobbish. This suggests to me that the communication issue lies with Trisha rather than with Carol. I spent several days researching reputable breeders in the Northern California area. I even contacted TICA and CFA directly asking for their recommendations. Carol's name and a selected few others came up consistently as one of the best breeders in the area. I contacted Carol in late August 2020 asking for more information. Carol was very responsive, answered my questions and honestly informed me that her waiting list was closed. This is someone who is very conscientious and fair. She could have easily taken my deposit (as other less reputable places are doing). Never did I feel that Carol was rude or snobby. I had quite the opposite impression. She told me to check back at the end of September if I was still in the market. She also very kindly gave me some recommendations as to other reputable breeders (most of whom I already knew). I lucked out and was able to get on the list with Mary Riddell of Furreal Ragdolls to pick up a kitten later next month. If I hadn't lucked out as I did, I would have definitely followed up with Carol. read more

Our Izzy has always been very affectionate, especially to my husband. However, during his recent months-long illness that ended in his death, Izzy has been beyond devoted. We got a kitten from Carol three months ago and he has been absolute joy for our family. Not only he is beautiful to watch, but he is affectionate, loves to be with us, and follows us everywhere. We never fully understood what "underfoot" means until we had him. He often walks to us, suddenly flops down on his side in front of us, and then stares us waiting for us to pet him, which we happily oblige. We often joke that we adopted a puppy, not a kitten. I can't say enough good things about Carol and her truly Adorable Dolls! I was very interested in adding a Ragdoll to our family, but wanted to be sure it was a purebred cat.
