Good honest contractors are hard to find these days. So, our electrical need was an unusual one, our very old utility pole fell over leaving the lines across our garage roof and my driveway. because we have a deep lot, there is a need to have and additional utility pole between the Com Ed easement and our home. No brainer right, call Com Ed. Turns out we own the pole, it is our responsibility to replace the pole and have it installed. So where do you buy a utility pole? Not Home Depot. I began calling electrician after electrician all of them saying no for various reasons. I called construction contractors and excavators as well, still a dead end. I bet you are on the edge of your seat wondering just how does this story end. The story does end quite well in fact because the last call I made was to Adrian Electric. Frank said YES, I can take care of that for you. I don't think he knew just how happy I was to hear that. Frank came to my house less then an hour after we spoke. Our utility pole is in a most difficult spot, garages, trees, sheds, and a fence surrounding it, very little wiggle room for such large equipment. Frank organized Com Ed to disconnect, (trust me, that is not an easy Co to deal with), the pole delivery, the bobcat delivery, the boom lift delivery as well as his top notch guys to assist in this precision job. All these moving parts showed up at the same time just as Frank planned. Trust me when I say there was no easy button on this job. Frank handled everything, the entire job was completed in under 4 hours. Frank and his crew are kind, patient, professional and very good at what they do. The very best in costumer care did not go unnoticed. I know this was an uncommon and very frustrating job that Frank could have said no to but he didn't. I will certainly be using Adrian for any future work we may have done on the inside of our home. The outside is good to go for another 70 years. I had an exceptional experience with Frank @ Adrian. I was having some serious issues with my home electrical service which at first was believed to be only isolated to a few circuit breakers that were causing the main breaker to trip. Frank came out to observe and provided me (3) possible solutions and pricing for each. At that time we agreed to wait and replace the circuit breakers at a later date however a few days later, the breaker issues got tremendously worse and were causing my interior lights to flicker and warmed up the entire breaker set. The peak of the failure - and my personal panic - happened on a Saturday night and Frank still took my call, provided me his recommendation in light of the degradation, and was able to adjust his schedule to fit me in that following Monday. We ended up replacing the entire electrical service - all new circuit breakers and panel which was a big undertaking. The coordination that needed to be done with both the City of Naperville and their electrical Dept couldn't have gone smoother. It was clear that Frank's reputation with them was superior which allowed for quick approvals and inspections to minimize downtime to my house. The Electrical Inspector went out of his way to tell me that he was impressed with Frank's work and professionalism. Frank is a solid guy, family man, and a true-pro. We couldn't be happier we chose Adrian Electric for our downtown Chicago condo project! We called Frank to upgrade our panel and install an outlet in a tricky location, our hall closet. Frank was very professional and helpful from our first conversation. He asked to see a few pictures of the project we were describing and then to get a better understanding he came to our downtown condo to gives a detailed description of the work and a quote on the service. For reference, we live in a downtown Chicago high-rise with concrete ceilings and several building regulations on what construction can be done. I don't even know where to start. Frank walked in and it was like we had been friends for 20 years. I called him because his reviews were so great and, guess what, he is that great. He arrived to my house as an electrician and left as a friend. He walked me through some pre-visit procedures the day prior so that we could keep the power on that particular fuse. The next day he came out and not only did he fix my problem, but he also re-installed the light fixture I had taken down, without me even asking! I'm a bit of a home project weekend warrior and he took the time to explain everything he was doing and was happy to do so. His pricing is more than fair and I will highly recommend him to anyone who asks. Also, he is now the official electrician of the Marino household. When we contacted Frank initially to setup an appointment it was very easy. Frank answered immediately and came out to the house for a quick inspection the same day. I would highly recommend Adrian Electric for the installation of a stand-by generator. In particular, I was quite impressed with owner Frank Adrian's honesty and knowledge. I decided to purchase a Kohler generator, and Adrian Electric was listed on the Kohler web site as an authorized dealer. I picked two dealers and obtained two quotes. The other company was like a rabbit, and responded within minutes, and was at my house in a couple of hours.However, their quote was thousands more for a high powered system that we didn't need. I was very impressed Adrian quickly determined our house didn't need such a high watt system, simply by looking at our fuse panel. I was very happy with his recommendation, which was closer to what I thought I needed (14-15 KWatts), versus the bid for a 20 KWatt system from the other authorized Kohler contractor. Talked to Frank about an electrical problem with a ceiling fan. Frank scheduled a visit and John, one of his electricians came to the house to review the problem. John diagnosed the problem and suggested the replacement of a wall control. After more investigation, John encountered a miss wiring and suggested some minor rewiring to bring the wiring up to code. John also visited the local hardware store for a new part and returned with a control that Adrian Electric has had success with as a reliable replacement. The system controls have now been upgraded to be more modern and easier to use, The bottom line is that John is a Pro and a hard worker. Time is money these days and John did his best to reduce the time needed for the repair. I would recommend John and Adrian Electric for any of my future electrical home repairs or new installations. Frank Adrian and his team provided excellent service when they installed 7 smoke/CO2/heat detectors in my home, and added a second electric panel and 240 amp outlet for a stackable electric dryer. Frank was very responsive to texts and phone calls, explained alternatives and pros and cons well, and was competitively priced. Frank and team were able to accommodate a short interval installation date on the detectors, arrived on time and completed the work using drop cloths and vacuumed afterwards. Frank and his team expertly installed a Tesla wall charger and the necessary electrical wiring & breaker. I called & he came out the same day to look at what I would need and give me a quote, then did the installation a couple days later as my car was being delivered more quickly than anticipated. I was impressed he knew ahead of time that where I wanted the charger placed wouldn't work because the Tesla charge cord wouldn't be long enough to reach the back of the car. He found the best spot in our garage for convenient charging, ran the conduit to that point unobtrusively, and it works perfectly. My house was on the market and a buyer backed out of the contract because the main panel had a history of starting house fires. Frank is very personable and was happy to take the time to discuss with me other enhancements I'm considering making to my home, but he wasn't pushy at all. I had what I thought was a faulty circuit breaker. Frank came out and quickly diagnosed wiring problems. It was difficult to pull new wires in due to the way the original installation was performed (this was for the outside AC unit), so Frank offered several solutions. He had to leave to grab some supplies he didn't have on him, but when he came back the next day, he had another solution in mind. Very professional group. They cleaned up after themselves and communicated with us throughout the process. When our furnace went out at 5:00 pm on a Wednesday they didn't leave us in the cold. Although they were not available to come out themselves they called other people they knew (and trusted) to fix our heat the same day.
