I wasreferred to Frank Adrian through a friend who had a good experience with his company. He came out right away and it was clear he knew what he was talking about. Showed me where the generator would be and what would need to modified. The generator was dropped off, but it was not put in the place where I was told it would be. I was promised pictures now going on two weeks of another client's house to show me how it would look where I wanted it. Still waiting for the pictures. Promised again two days ago but still not here. Seems like the kind of person who tells you what you want to hear when you want to hear it and does whatever once the conversation is over. Not worth the hassle. You're better off going to a different generator installation service. If anybody's in need of a Kohler generator at a good price, let me know. Update May 16, 2026 Some communication issues but Frank set things right. He had me look at a property with the generator orientated the direction I wanted, changed mine the same way and completed the project per the agreement in the contract. Had a disappointing experience with Adrian Electric. Reached out mid-may to have some work done on my generator. I kept trying to get something set up for several days, just kind of went around and around on text. Made myself available for a phone call that never came, 4 days later got another text if I was still interested. Reached out another couple days later and asked if he can do the job or if I should keep looking, he wanted my address which I gave, then never heard anything again. Really frustrating, especially since I've tried 10 companies from the Kohler site for generator repair/maintenance and could only get 1 to commit to coming out and they wanted an upfront payment to even look. If anyone knows a good generator guy let me know! And companies, please stop ghosting people, just tell us you're too busy/don't want the work/don't have time, etc. read more

They came out to trouble shoot my problem. Contacted them twice about an estimate and set up an appointment. Promised to get back in a few minutes. Never heard from them. Here I paid the service fee of $255. And have to pay that initial service fee again to someone else. They took advantage of me being a woman. read more

Mid-August storms damaged our house-to-pole drop line, and we were worried everyone would be booked. But Frank asked for some photos, he came out promptly, gave us good advice, and he and his guys made the repairs, more securely than the way the line was attached before. That ended up being a big project requiring contact with the manufacturers as all components had to be replaced with new ones that didn't match the originals. He was quick to respond and come to see what we needed to have done around the house. He had to do some research on one item and promised he would get back to us within a few days with a quote. Frank came out to do an inspection of a generator transfer switch we had installed by another contractor. We had problems with the other contractor who installed the generator transfer switch, and another company we use for non-generator electric work (Kinetic Energy... they are great, but don't do generators!) referred us to Frank. Frank checked the work, which fortunately was solid, and helped me understand how to use the transfer switch. Frank was outstanding. He really knew his stuff and I wish we had gone with him in the first place (we went with the unnamed "other" contractor because they were in our town). In the early morning hours my riser pole was ripped from the side of our house by a tree falling into the utility pole. After discussing with ComEd I was instructed to start calling electricians. So, I left a message for Frank at probably 3am. He called me back around 8am and quoted me an excellent price. Frank and Franck showed up right on time and got to work. We had the good fortune to select Frank to do a very time-sensitive replacement of two circuit-breaker panels, prior to the sale of our son's condo. The breaker boxes needed to be replaced quickly since they were identified as a potential problem by the buyer's inspector, and the closing depended upon replacement by a qualified electrician. Good contractors who know what they're doing AND who actually call you back are a rarity these days. I talk to friends and neighbors and they too seem to have the same problem: getting a decent contractor to call you back! I called three electricians before finding and calling Adrian Electric. One electrician I phoned never returned my call or text, one was too busy and wouldn't be able to help me until a much later date, and one called me back days later after I had already coordinated with Frank. I explain all of this because Frank too was busy that week, but he managed to not only call me back within an hour, but he was able to schedule the work within the same week, as I requested! I called Frank on a Monday morning to explain what I needed. He asked me to text a photo the area where we needed work completed, and said he would get back to me about a date & time. The next day, Tuesday he called with an estimate, and said he could schedule Rick to come out that Thursday to do the work. On Thursday Frank texted me in the morning, gave an ETA for Rick, and then later that afternoon Rick contacted me and said he was able to make it an hour earlier. Wow! Another rarity!!! Rick was very professional and got the work done in a timely manner. My husband and I were anticipating a little more damage to wall where they put an outlet, but only two small drill holes to spackle. Another thing I loved, they left things neat AND left all of the lighting/fan packaging for me to deal with/recycle. In the past when I've used previous electricians (or other contractors for that matter) they would throw out packaging along with accessories like ceiling fan pull chains or finials, along with the old item that was being replaced. I much prefer to make the choice myself if I want these items or if if I prefer to donate, recycle or throw them away. My husband and I were very happy with Adrian Electric. Frank communicated in a timely manner, set expectations and charged what we felt to be fair pricing. If only these guys were general contractors, I could get so much more completed in my home! Frank Adrian answered the phone immediately on a Sunday morning, arrived at my home exactly when he said he would (about 15 minutes after I called), fixed the problem quickly and gave me a thorough and clear explanation. He never did finish the job after 6 months. Made the mistAke of paying him before completion. Simple job of installing low voltage lighting in the front yard, and a lamp post. He would do a little work at a time and say he would be back the next day but wouldn't show up. Had to call him over and over, and listen to him lie. I finally gave up! Too much aggravation! I contacted Frank Adrian when the underground electrical line my store (MOORE Toys & Gadgets) failed. He helped navigate ComEd and talked through the options (replace underground line or go overhead to the pole.) He even gave me the name of a competitor to determine if splicing the fault was the most economical thing to do. Even when I contemplated the splice repair with his competitor, he was thoughtful, professional and helpful. I decided the best course of action was to replace the underground line and Adrian Electric did the work (along with Russ, a directional borer.) We used Frank, with Adrian Electric, to install three ceiling fans in our bedrooms. When he first came over to quote us he asked to see the fans we purchased and informed us that they probably wouldn't give off enough light for a bedroom due to the glass fixture. We ended up taking his advice and exchanged them for different fans and I'm very glad we did. Overall I can't say enough great things about Frank... he has competitive pricing, showed up on time, explained everything to me, cleaned up all of the rooms to ensure they were dust free and most importantly our fans/lights look great. I Called Adrian Electric along with a few other Electricians seeking some ball park quotes for replacing my electrical box due to some electrical 'gremlins' I was experiencing with my recently purchased home, and of those who I called, Frank with Adrian Electric offered to come out same day to take a look at the issues I was experiencing, and took the time to explain things to me while observing the issue I was having which was hugely appreciated. After we had made an initial attempt at a repair it was confirmed that my current box was past repair (again, explained and shown in such a way that I fully understood) and I opted for a complete box replacement. He kept in touch the entire way of this repair, and definitely takes pride in his work. I consider myself VERY handy, so it was challenging to have someone else tackle a job that was outside of my own skill set. Our Main House Breaker Went Defective During The First Quarter Of The Super Bowl And We Lost All Electric In Home. Called Adrian Electric From Their 24 Hour Online Ad & Frank Responded Immediately.
