Great service and top notch work. I have worked with them for multiple projects and they always do as they promise. Quick and clean.

One company didn't even bother to come out--just asked for measurements and sent a generic quote for basic Milgard windows. Another contractor did show up, but he was extremely pushy and basically demanded that I make a decision on the spot. He was also the most expensive of the three. Approved Contractor was the complete opposite experience. Their sales rep came out, took his time, was very relaxed and professional, walked me through all my options, and provided full license and insurance info. He left me with a written estimate and zero pressure. Their pricing came in right in the middle, but the service level made it the best value by a mile. Once my HOA approved the project, everything moved exactly on schedule. The windows were custom, and the team showed up within the four-week lead time they quoted. They installed all five windows in less than a day. They also removed the brand-new blinds I had just installed and put them back up perfectly--like they were never touched. Huge bonus. Communication was great the entire time. The installer met me in the morning so I could walk him through the space, and he called ahead before finishing so I could come back from the office, inspect everything, and sign off. The finished product looks fantastic. From the first phone call to the sales visit to installation day, the whole experience was smooth, honest, and professional. I'd absolutely recommend Approved Contractor Inc. if you're looking for quality window replacement without the pressure or runaround.

Whoever was answering phones today around 11:45am should be fired. I started the conversation kindly expressing my frustration, but letting her know it wasn't her fault. I expressed why I was unhappy with their services and work. She hung up on me in less than 2 minutes. They are greedy, unprofessional, and beyond unethical. Also, if you are between a mesh pool gate and iron pool gate (as we were) -- go with iron! It's safer and looks way better. I feel a lot more solace in the decision after seeing it installed. They also replaced our side gate and entry and made sure it had matching locks with the pool. I definitely recommend them.

I do NOT like paying a contractor overhead. I am a time and materials person. I like "control" over expenses. So for me to hire someone to install windows and doors, has never happend. But I had a unique problem area in my home, I decided to seek out a contractor. I have a large atrium type living room that gets very hot from direct sun exposure and whose large picture window/sliding windows and french doors, leak during every driving rain. I got a predictably high bid from a large - well known window replacement company. After hearing CDW's annoying ads for about a decade now on KNX-I decided to give them a try. I was so skeptical that CDW would be a better bid that I almost canceled. Glad I didn't. CDW sent a personable, low key-no pressure, knowledgable person. He did a great presentation on the values of upgrading in this particular case, AND the price was 1/3 less than the "other guy". From the signing of the contract, It took four weeks to manufacture product and set installation date. Installation was completed in one day with a team of three installers. They prepped by covering all interior/exterior furniture/ surfaces exposed to possible work dust. They were friendly, worked diligently and answered whatever questions I had without attitude or hesitation during the day. Their attention to detail in the finish/caulking was great. Looks perfect. All I can say is-I am super thrilled with the product, personel, and the installation. It looks beautiful. Huge upgrade for our primary living space. Could not be happier. I hope all is well when tested during the rains.

Also on one of the posts there was a large crack in the wood, but that was sealed as well. For the price, I think this was a pretty good value. Would definitely recommend for smaller jobs like mine.

Our salesman, Michael, was great and the most helpful throughout the process. However, the bad experience started as soon as work was set to begin. We were told we would have a "project manager" which seemingly didn't exist. I believe that was suppose to be Allan. We were working from home at the time and I only got to speak to Allan once. Not sure how many times he came on site. I'm not sure whose fault it is, but the itemized estimate for the work was inaccurate from the beginning which was frustrating because although to my knowledge we paid the right price, the inaccuracies felt like we were jipped. There seemed to always be a reluctance to give a full itemized estimate of the job, which, when you're paying over $25k for a job shouldn't be an issue. Somewhere during our project the admin, Sandy, left UHR, but her replacement seemed more organized and communicative, but we were already frustrated. Skylights: we had two skylights installed and the plan was to install them prior to the new roof being put on and knocked out all at the same time. However, the subcontractor hired for this job by UHR fully expected to pop into Home Depot the day before install to get the skylights and they weren't available. While this may be the norm and they're usually available, we felt it should've been planned better. So, the entire roof was finished and then they had to come back a week later to install the skylights. Roof: roof install was OK. We have exposed beams inside and there are areas in the house where the beams were missed and roofing nails punctured through the inside. Not a huge deal, but shows they didn't complete take their time. (See photos) An area of roof slopes down into the house and a cricket needed to be installed. First, how this wasn't planned for in the first place was beyond me because the slope was obvious. Second, we were charged an extra $300 for the install of it. This isn't bad and I understand cost, but we things keep adding up and adding up, it gets frustrating. Professionals should have been able to know that would be an issue from the beginning. MISTAKES: During the install, the workers disconnected our AC unit water sources which caused the water to leak into water heater. UHR later came back and reconnected, but a hole in our ceiling was made initially to try and fix it and they did a horrible job patching it up. (I didn't notice this until after they left as it's a guest room and we don't go in here often) FLASHING: I'm not sure if it's normal, but when installed the flashing was right to the roof and side of the home, GREAT. A few months later, it started going out (see photos) LEAKS: we've had a couple storms since the install and no issues but in the most recent winter storm 12/28/21-12/30/21 we started having leaks in a few places. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Re: the leaks - since the leaks I've called UHR 3 times and left two voicemails and haven't heard anything back. I texted Michael (not sure if he's with UHR, but he didn't tell me otherwise) he said he would let someone know to reach out and nobody has. Hoping someone responds to this as we still need service for the leaks and possibly flashing.

I was told by the salesperson who was very nice and patient that Home Energy Masters is the only company licensed to install this product. Somehow, I agreed to get some things ready for financing through them. I wound up canceling the deal mainly because i need some structural things done first on the house. But here's the kicker for me... a few days later, I got a credit card in the mail with my name on it and the company's name... I canceled the card, but this make me mad that they would go ahead with a credit application without the 'go ahead' from me. The reviews of the main company in Encino are not encouraging. The website is sparse and poorly written. I can't believe no one else is installing TEX-COTE.
