My eldest sister passed away and I needed additional funds for her services. I passed by the store Advance America by chance and I stopped in. Outside the weather was hot and yucky. Customers were offered a cold bottle of water! But when I entered the store- the store was cool, clean and bright. I was greeted by Carolina and Christines warm smiles and very pleasant greetings. My husband applied for a loan through this company, and received a check directly into his bank account. He received his letter of acceptance from Mark White, on Advance America Stationery. However, afterwards, he was being threatened with fraud and was told to immediately return the cash via gift cards. Chase Bank became aware the check was fradulent, and froze his assests, including his paycheck. My husband did not alert me to any of this or I would have stopped his dumb ass. I am sorry but I am extremely upset over this. Anyone who can read should have realized the threats via text were made in broken, massacared English. I told him why would he be so stupid to place thousands of dollars on gift cards and text to someone he hasn't any clue about??? So, not only does he not have the money from "Advance America," he is being forced to cover the funds that he withdrew and reimburse Chase Bank. So, thousands of dollars. While the address matched the actual address of the East Hollywood Office, a simple search of any of the phone numbers provided revealed they were Google Voip phone numbers and not associated with any legit individuals or businesses. Be very careful when borrowing from them. The system goes down for over 2 weeks and your unable to get any information call customer service due to the system failure.. BEWARE! You can't change anything in on your profile. Due dates, the amount to pay, and courtesy extension.. First and for most I would like to say this place has not idea what is going on behind their backs. I have been a victim of severe fraud and has not put me in a down word spiral. I am getting married in October and I got a call from supposedly this place saying I was approved for a loan. I set up everything to be through direct deposit and this person ended going through my whole banking app. Took money and then added money into my account saying this is how things are transacted and took it all away from me. I have been to this place to load my tap card and I never had a problem until yesterday 3/1/17. They charge me $6.50 for paying the rest of my tap card load with a debit card that wasn't the problem. The problem was that they gave me the money back since my tap card is still working and they had charged me the $6.50 but only gave me $3 back from the $6.50. I was very disappointed sucks I noticed it a lil too late. I would have said something if I knew right at the moment they gave me the money. read more

I came in on Saturday and these people love to waste your time and not be truthful with you upfront. I was told initially the only reason I was getting rejected was my lack of income. I was encouraged to bring current proof of my rideshare income. I did just that and of course they decided to give me a different reason for rejection. Why couldn't you have told me all of the reasons for rejections instead of playing these go fetch games?
