Citizens Bank should be avoided. Their fees are numerous and high, and they use dishonest trickery…read moreto get their customers to pay more fees. My experience is instructive: I had been a good customer for six years, but because of a confluence of events, PayPal pulled money out of my account right before three checks came in to clear. That was right before a holiday, and Citizens was closing early even though the day before the holiday was not a holiday in itself (they shouldn't have done that). As a consequence, I couldn't get money into the bank to cover the checks. The checks then came in to clear in the order of smallest to largest, and I should have been charged one $39 overdraft fee; but Citizens re-ordered the withdrawals from largest to smallest so that I was charged three fees. This is what I mean by "trickery". Only the greediest banks use tricks like that to raise money from their customers. If you are looking for a bank, you would be better off at a savings bank or credit union.

Located in Cranston across the street from garden city, this shopping center has it all- one stop shopping. It houses specialty shops, health offices (eye, plastic surgery etc.) fitness, massage, beauty, and restaurants. They also house a few end stores such as Shaws- (it's a monster and has lots of prepared foods) staples and TJ maxx. It is also home to one of the nicer restaurants in RI Chapel Grille. I just recently started to come here due to my workout class and just love the plaza. It has plenty of parking even on a busy day. During the winter, the parking lots are nicely maintained, and during the summer they take beautiful care in the landscaping. For me- Small details like pretty flowers actually earn brownie points. Finally, the location of the shopping plaza is directly off the exit to the highway- easy on and off ramp to get to the major highways of 295 and 95, perfect for someone like me who doesn't live in Cranston.

Absolutely useless. Here we are in the middle of a financial / health crisis and this bank is a…read morecomplete joke. We applied for an SBA loan the minute it came out to keep our business open. They intern sent us to our bank, which up until now was Bank RI. We have been customers for 27 years, the business for 15. We dealt with the Woonsocket branch directly. I'll spare you the details, but I was stunned to learn today with the second round of funds being dispersed that they decided to stop processing our application and taking any new applications. Our application can not be located, and we were told quite bluntly and rudely that they are not taking applications anymore by both the person we were dealing with and the branch manger. Completely unprofessional. If you want to give them your business and get zero back when you actually need it, these are the guys for you!
