Plaza Acura of Brooklyn was a complete waste of time…read more We had a 5:00 PM test drive scheduled and showed up early at 4:50, expecting at least a basic level of professionalism. Instead of meeting the person we were told to ask for ("Mike"), we were immediately handed off to someone else who launched into the typical dealership script--sit down, write things down, pretend to "build a deal"--all before even acknowledging why we were there. The attitude changed instantly once my friend was upfront about his timeline and said he was comparing other brands (BMW, Genesis, etc.). The moment they realized we weren't an immediate, easy sale, their interest dropped to zero. You could literally feel it--like a switch flipped. From that point on, we were just being tolerated, not helped. They still let us test drive the car, but let's be honest--that's the bare minimum. When it came time to talk numbers, they completely shut down. No pricing, no breakdown, no effort. Then a manager named Santiago stepped in and threw out a vague payment range of "$600-$800." When we asked a simple, reasonable question--can you narrow that down, show MSRP, or give any real numbers?--his answer was basically: "No, programs change in two weeks, so I'm not quoting anything." That's not how you sell cars. That's how you avoid doing your job. The entire experience felt dismissive and borderline disrespectful. It was obvious they had already decided we weren't worth their time, so they didn't bother trying. And honestly, after this experience, it makes you question the flood of recent 5-star reviews on google. They don't line up with what we experienced at all. They certainly don't match what is on here! We all know what they are doing with the google reviews. If this is how they treat potential customers, management should seriously rethink who they have representing their dealership.

I don't typically write negative reviews, but this experience has been so unacceptable that I feel…read morecompelled to share it. I purchased my Acura from this dealership in February as an out-of-state buyer from Pennsylvania. I was explicitly assured that they would handle registration and make the process seamless. Had I known this would not be handled properly, I would have simply taken temporary plates and registered the vehicle myself in Pennsylvania. Instead, what followed has been incredibly frustrating and frankly irresponsible. About a week after bringing the car home, the dealership contacted me to inform me that they had made a mistake and sent me home with license plates that belonged to an entirely different vehicle and another customer. That alone should never happen. I then had to take time out of my own schedule to overnight the incorrect plates back to them. After that, they overnighted replacement plates, but those plates expired on March 1st. It is now March 22nd, and I am still driving with expired plates, which has put me in a very difficult and potentially legally problematic situation. I have made repeated calls and sent multiple texts to my salesperson, Manny, who continues to say he will get back to me and then does not follow through. I have also reached out to others at the dealership and left messages with no resolution. Regarding LoJack, I clearly stated that I did not want it, and it was removed from my invoice. However, the system itself was not properly removed from the vehicle. A few days after taking delivery, I discovered a loose cable hanging down near my brake pedal. When I contacted Manny, he confirmed it was related to the LoJack system and said it had been disconnected but not removed. I was told I would need to return to Brooklyn and pay $500 to have it properly removed. Leaving equipment hanging near a brake pedal is not only careless, it is a safety concern. Being asked to pay to fix something I explicitly declined is unacceptable. At this point, this is more than poor communication. It is a failure to handle basic responsibilities and customer safety. I trusted this dealership to manage things they said they handled regularly, and instead I have been left dealing with expired plates and unresolved issues. I have requested a return phone call from the owner of the dealership today and expect to receive one. If I do not, I will continue to share and document this experience online so others are aware. I also plan to explore my options to address this situation legally. This should have been treated with urgency and professionalism from day one, and it simply has not been. If you are considering buying from here, especially as an out-of-state buyer, I would strongly caution you to think twice or handle your own registration independently.
