My car wouldn't start yesterday and after trying a bunch of things I came to the conclusion that it was my starter. Called a bunch of places and got quotes from $230 to $400 for a starter motor for a Honda! Called this place and got one for $160 minus $40 when you bring the old starter back. And it's actually one of the best brands out there! Family business are the way to go!

We stopped at Autozone in James Island to get a new battery and for them to change the battery for us, like they advertise. Well...... I was met with "we can't do." I asked what do you mean? Again..."we can't do it. It requires an electronic reset and we can't do it."Which is odd because back home the Autozone changed the battery the last time I needed one with no questions asked. I drove across the street and David at Parks auto parts got me the battery, allowed me to use their tools, and helped me change it. Do yourself a favor and don't shop at Autozone but instead shop local at Parks Auto Parts located RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from Autozone.

Whether you are looking for a new radiator for a Volvo or a battery for a Jeep Wrangler, there's a pretty good chance they'll have it on their shelf or in their ordering system. These guys have been consistently friendly and helpful over the last half decade that I have used them. Make sure to check them out the next time you're looking for a replacement part. I had asked the staff If they could deliver a part to my location, which was maybe less than 2 minutes away because I was fixing a car and was stranded. One of the staff was about to go deliver it, but a person named Kathy (the commercial account manager) told the staff not to deliver it. She claimed there wasn't enough people at the site to have it delivered. There were 3 people there. The other worker was willing to deliver it when I asked. I felt discriminated against the way she was conducting herself. The part happened to be old because it was on the shelf a little too long. The gasket was brittle. I came back to get it switched. I eventually got the part switched from the other staff. I was disappointed in the way she acted. She needs a reprimand or be fired. This is not how you treat loyal customers. I have already told her I will not come back to this place especially if she's still working there.

I knew I needed to replace them ASAP…read more Wipers are totally one of those things you could order online if only you remembered you needed them in advance but likely you forget (like I did) until its a rainy day. I looked up spots on my route and had a short time before my next appointment. Napa was on the way so I took a short detour to get what I needed. They immediately told me what sizes I needed for my car and pointed me in the right direction. As I mulled over the different options for prices and claims of superiority, the clerk came over to offer some advice. He pointed out the sales they had and what reccomendations he had accordingly. I told him my past experience with some brands and let him know I wasn't happy with one of them and my classic car could use a boost in the wiper department as well. He mentioned he had a brand that he and all his coworkers use but it's a little pricier so folks generally steer away. I took the bait and told him to check for my sizes which they had in the back. He assured me they were worth the extra dough so I went for it. Turns out they were running a special that got you 20% off after spending a certain amount (buy a $3 Napa bucket for charity as well). The whole thing cost the same as the on sale blades and I got the Trico Force blades I was looking for. After a week long dry spell I got to really test these wipers out and he was absolutely right. I highly recommend these wipers and am probably a life long Trico customer. Great service with honest advice that held true... I'll be back for sure!
