I'm writing this review based on hector at the location beside Strickland bros oil change on the 27 in Davenport. He is a credit to the company. The oil change place did my oil change bad. They didn't tighten my filter it was effecting my engine. I went back to them and they tightened my filter and told me to pull over to advance auto parts next door to have it evaluated. Hector was so knowledgeable. He helped fix the Strickland bros mistake. Can't say enough good things about the guy. If this isn't the location, go find the advanced auto parts beside 49533 us hwy 27! read more

I have had many terrible experiences with this location. As a business owner, I completely understand the shortage of quality labor our country is experiencing, but this place is full of incompetent lazy people that just skate by for a paycheck. I showed up tonight desperate for a part for one of my trucks in my fleet. 20+ minutes before they close and the doors are locked. I could understand 3-5 minutes but really? 20+?! On top of that, the other customer at the door hoping to get help was just sold a bulb that was the wrong one (because the employees are incompetent and apparently lack the ability to read) and they lock the door behind him while he's in the parking lot struggling. What a classy establishment. Between me and my company, I spend THOUSANDS of dollars a year at advanced auto keeping my 15 trucks on the road. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

A couple years ago I had to buy a battery for my one vehicle and for some reason I thought I picked it up at a different store. When I went in to the other store they told me it wasn't there battery it was from Advance. I think them and drove up the street. I went in and told them I had a battery I need warranty and that I needed help bringing it in. Brought a cart out and loaded the battery onto it and brought it inside. This is a very large extremely heavy battery. He took it behind the counter and they tested it and they agreed it should be replaced. I kind of ran into a problem when he asked if I bought it in the store and I said yes and he couldn't find a record of the sale. We discussed it and I said I know I had researched it online but I know I had come into the store for it he said well if I bought it online it wouldn't be in their system so I would need the receipt for it. I wasn't sure if I still had one and he was endeavoring to assist me with it anyway. While he was entering information I took out my phone and opened my email and did a search for Advance Auto Parts. I had several listings that came up and when I scroll through I found one that showed the receipt for when I purchased the battery. He was right, I did get it online but picked it up in the store. Once I showed him the receipt it became a much easier job to warranty. Things have changed quite a bit since I installed and sold batteries. When I purchased it it had a 3-year warranty. Since it had been 2 years they replaced the battery and explained that I had 1 year left on the warranty. Back in my day it was all prorated. From my point of view today I was just as happy that I didn't have to pay anything to get it replaced. I'm pretty sure that the old one had a dead short in it. In the end they were very helpful and I was glad that we could get it taken care of right away. I brought it home and put it in the vehicle and it started on the 1st try. This was important because my youngest child is going to be needing the vehicle to get to and from their new job. I will definitely remember next time I need something for my vehicle that they stood behind their product like I felt they should. read more

This advanced auto parts is located off of Highway 27. I needed to get new headlights because my car had been sitting and the old headlights was waterlogged from hurricane that came through. There was a water halfway up the lights. This was 100% my fault because I left the stupid vehicle outside and didn't put it into the garage. I would expect more from a new vehicle but it was a hurricane that came through so I can't blame the lights for being waterlogged. I first want to Pep Boys across the street. I did call Pep Boys beforehand and they told me they have the parts in. When I got to Pep Boys they told me they did not have the parts. I was not a happy camper. So I left Pep Boys and across the street is advanced auto. Going to the advanced auto store I show the guy my vehicle and he told me that they don't have any in stock but they can special order them. I really wanted the special LED lights for some reason. Of course they costed me a good amount of money but there were something that I needed because of my stupidity so I ordered the lights. The lights came in the next day and they gave me a call to let me know that the lights were in. The sales guy at advance auto told me that they could install the lights for me but I told him that that wouldn't be necessary because I had somebody that can install them. Overall my experience with this advance auto was very nice the customer service was really great and I would recommend anybody that needs wipers or basic necessities for their vehicle. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could - purchased headlights from the store and then got home - noticed I needed to borrow a socket wrench to install them, and went back to the store and the cashier told me he couldn't loan one unless I bought something even though I had purchased the headlight literally 30 minutes before. FROM HIM. Left and thank goodness auto-zone down the street helped me out. Definitely drive a little further to auto-zone if you can, much better service :) read more

After spending half hour trying to return a battery with a new sales clerk, the manager "Jerry" who had been watching the new sales clerk struggle, angrily decided to jump in and help, this "Manager" was very loud rude and demeaning , I have been a Advanced Auto customer for many years and never experienced this level of poor customer service ever before.
