Our truck pulling a 38' camper broke down. Engine lights flashing, gauges overheating. Well you get the picture. Our daughter-in-law recommended a place down the street from their house called Stephens Automotive. We came in limping late Thursday to Arrowhead campground. While we were parking our daughter-in-law went down the road to talk to Stephens. She explained our situation. We were to leave with the group at 5AM Friday. Surprisingly the owner/ manager said to come on over. They would look at our truck. You NEVER get a place to see you if 1- show up on short notice, 2- have deadline, 3- have never met or done business with, 4- around closing time and 5- present them with no chance of repeat business. These wonderful people took our truck, hunted down the parts we needed, and made repairs. In less than 24 hours we were back on the road to Arkansas. What he ended up with is a vehicle that would start, but the C1 connector on the Drivers side fuse and relay module had to be pulled. Instead, he took it to FRANK'S AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND TOWING, where it appears to have sat accruing storage fees while we tried to locate it! Two days later, the $250 (under the table quote) had inflated to $1310.00 when they saw they could get a fat insurance payout. Our intention was to save a double tow charge. Instead, we let these crooks have a go at our expense. Don't call these people unless you've exhaused every other possible avenue. And make sure you're carrying a butt-load of cash.
