I recently took my truck to him on 3/14/26 and had my water pump/thermostat replaced due to overheating issues. They also sealed my drain plug on my radiator, which at the time I didn't think was wrong, but now I'm having to replace my whole radiator because there's no circulation. I also had to replace my reservoir for my radiator because they cracked it while improperly burping the coolant system. As soon as I drove off, my vehicle started overheating again and I had to return for them to do it again. Two weeks later, I discover more air pockets in my system. I brought my vehicle to a different shop -- now it's costing me hundreds of dollars more to fix a problem I thought was fixed. Not to mention the 2 times I drive out to his shop just for him to not answer and then be angry at me for being upset at his unprofessionalism. Jeremy and Steve were amazingly professional and I know they tried their best with what Coop allows them to do. Very disappointed in how this was handled because I knew Coop personally. Now I'm out $500 from him not properly fixing my vehicle and having to spent over $300 more to properly repair. DO NOT GO HERE.

Oil had leaked into a transmission module and after cleaning it, it was plugged back in and the car ran perfectly. The service was fast and the mechanics and owner Adrian were completely honest and took very good care of me and saved me thousands had I taken my vehicle to any other shop in town. Adrian said he would have my truck ready within a couple of weeks. It took 3 months to get my truck back. When I stopped by to make the final payment, about 2 weeks into this nightmare, Adrian wasn't there. I got a phone call from him saying I had harrassed his employees and that I needed to stay away. My wife took over contacting Adrian for updates. Most of the time, he wouldn't bother answering the calls and would not return text messages. My wife would stop by the shop every one to to weeks for updates. It was always one excuse after another. He also left my truck parked outside, with the window rolled down, before 5pm. No one was there. My wife saw this when she went by to try and get an update. She called Adrian and he stated it would be taken care of that evening when they went back over. He lied! When my wife went back over there at 9pm and also the next morning, the window was still wide open. Although the engine had been put in the week before and Adrian promised it would be ready the following week, the truck never moved. When my wife called him Wednesday and said that he promised it would be done this week she told him that it is hard to complete the job if you don't work on the job. The next day, Adrian called me to say the truck was finally ready. This was 3 months since he started the job. The lack of communication, the sorry excuses, and he didn't even have the decency to be there when I picked up the truck. I can guaranty that A Team Automotive will never touch another one of our vehicles. Not even if it is under a warranty condition! One star is too much credit!

It was after 5 pm on a Monday, and every towing service contacted was busy. But JR was able to come immediately to my rescue. I was stranded in Lockhart, after discovering that my power steering belt had broken off. I was trying to get home to my disabled son in Round Rock, TX who needed my assistance desperately. Every mechanic in Lockhart had already closed for the day, and only one of them would be able to take my car for repairs the following day. There's no rental car service in Lockhart, so I still didn't know how I was going to get to Round Rock. When JR came to tow my car, I asked him if he could tow my car to my mechanic in Round Rock? Amazingly, he said yes! The fee he proposed for this service was fair and reasonable. He was very cheerful and professional. He delivered me, my car and my Yorkie all the way to Round Rock, TX. I couldn't have asked for better service than this, and I was overjoyed and relieved to be so close to my son again. We had a slide issue on our parked Rv right before we were leaving for a 3 month trip. The slide…read morewould not retract into the trailer. We called Johnathan and he came over within an hour and ascertained the problem and was able to get the slide in. We We're leaving that day and he assured us that he would call our extended warranty company and get the approval to fix it and fix it while we were gone on our trip. That is exactly what he did, he got the approval and went to work. Before we returned home to the trailer a friend of ours noticed something strange in our master bedroom under the bed. We called Johnathan and arranged for him to meet us when we arrived home. He took a look at the problem and fixed it immediately. We have been very pleased with his work and service.

Warning...long post but worth the read if you are contemplating taking your vehicle here to get…read moreworked on. Do not take your vehicle here if you want it fixed properly. Synopsis: 1- They did not properly install my tank. 2. They did not use the supplied parts resulting in a defective installation (they threw away one supplied part that was critical to the installation). 3. They broke my fuel sending unit...twice!! 4. They dumped 15 gallons of diesel ($3.62 a gallon...$54.30 worth!) on the floor and did not replace it...but offered to replace it and charge me... I took my 2021 Ram 3500 here at 1 in the afternoon to have an aftermarket Diesel tank installed. The guy at the check in counter said that they can install my part but defective customer parts are not warrantied (as they should not be) but the labor to install the part was. I supplied them with the exact instructions and emphasied to them that they MUST only use the parts supplied. They told me my truck would be worked on and ready by the end of the day becuase they were slow. Never heard from them by the close of business. Called the next day at 11 in the morning and they said they just got it in. They called later in the day and let me know they broke a part off of the fuel tank when installing (the fuel sending unit hose connectors). They broke it becuase they did not properly install the tank on the truck. They said they could sell me one (For over $600) or I would have to pay to replace it myself becuase customer supplied parts are not under warranty...even if they break them...I was able to get a replacement under warranty so they installed the tank again and said it was ready. I picked my truck up, filled the tank and fuel spilled out all over the ground...Took it back to Cambridge and spoke with the Head Mechanic (Mike). He said my new tank must be defective because they installed it "correctly"...they did not. He then said that their labor was NOT warrantied because I supplied the part...direct contradiction to what the guy at the check in counter stated to me. After 45 minutes of "discussing", Mike finally agreed to "prove to me" that the issue was the tank and not the labor. I watched him put my truck on a lift and proceed to remove the now full tank (about 400 pounds worth of fuel now...52 gallons...minus what spilled all over the place due to the faulty labor). He used a transmission lift/jack to support the tank but it did not operate correctly. One of Mike's other mechanics hit the emergency release switch on the jack and it dropped the whole tank 3 feet (falling on the other mechanic), resulting in another broken fuel sending unit...which they would not replace even though it was their fault so I had to go get another one (a total of 2 $400 sending units now that they have broken). Mike removed the tank and I discovered that they did not use the supplied gasket during the installation (remember, I stressed to them that they must use ALL supplied parts) which resulted in a poor tank seal leading to the Diesel spilling out all over the place. The gasked I supplied for the install had been thrown in the trash. They went and found the discarded gasket, reinstalled they tank and it worked perfectly. Final insult to injury was that they spilled and removed 15 gallons of Diesel ($54.30 worth) and refused to replace it. This whole debacle took nearly 3 days...a far cry from the 5 hours I was told it would take. Do NOT use Cambridge Auto Center if you want your repairs/Labor to be done correctly, on-time and warrantied...they suck.

Went in to have a cross threaded lug nut replaced and ended up with non working brakes by the time…read morethey were done. Then they tried to charge me to figure out why the brakes no longer work. Suggested it might be a failed break power booster. Right.... I hobbled the vehicle home and checked it out. There was air in the system, an easy 10 min fix. Oh and by the way, they also cross threaded another lug nut so I had to shear that one off to get to the brake. So I went in for a cross threaded lug nut and came out with another cross threaded lug nut!! Not sure if it's a scam or just incompetence.
