Our experience was wonderful! We needed a new battery and Brett assisted in checking the battery and was very delightful. We then met Shantal inside who was very knowledgeable and even refunded us the 10% military discount that we noticed they gave when we were waiting for our battery to be installed. She provides the wrong parts and than trys to proceed to move forward with a trying to be argumentative and tell you why they are not the same but in the end it was on their end for not listening to the correct year and make. proceeds to than go to the back to get the part and threaten and say we better not be talking to her no way she will correct it so we better watch it. never had a manger's be that disrespectful. it's customer service and in this case WE were right . could've been correct better. worst service . This morning I went to have my battery tested and merry a very nice guy named Nando. He immediately accompanied me outside where he teste my battery and found it to be bad and assured me they had my battery in stock. He presented a few different batteries with varied prices and advantages and I made a knowledgeable choice thanks to him. He then brought the battery to my car, removed the bad one and installed the new one in just a few minutes. I've gone to this place for years, and today is the only day that I have had a problem that I'm going to voice. Unfortunately a lot of businesses have to hire kids that have no clue and most of them are stoned half the time... Today, Jacob must've been stoned something good! I seriously needed some of what he had to put up with this stupidity... Online order that I had to wait until I was in the parking lot to do so I could see which rotor was grinding. Made the order, walked in, nobody at the counter, so I asked him to pull the rotor and by the time he gets it the order should pop up on the screen. Normally, anybody else would understand the efficiency of my request... all I got was a blank stare back and I got to watch him listen to somebody else's battery issues...when I asked him if he understood the efficiency of what I was requesting, he ran to the back and sent the manager who chose to not pull it until it popped up on the screen as well... Every-time I go to advance auto parts they always go above and beyond the needs of the customer.

What an absolutely horrific experience. I tried to get my battery tested yesterday, but because of the rain, I was turned away. Totally understandable. I went back today, waited in line with my two-year-old niece, and asked if there was anyone that could help and check my battery. I was very rudely told that I could wait in my car and that there was a very long line ahead of me. I went ahead out to the car and sat with the doors open as my car was having trouble starting, which was the reason I was there in the first place. After a solid 50 minutes of waiting, I went in, just to ensure that nobody had forgotten about me, and sure enough, they did. Richard (there are two, the older, ruder one) , the rude man that told me to wait in my car, was less than apologetic. I wasted a good amount of time and all of my nieces patience. I will never be back to that store, and I hope Richard gets some training in how to treat customers. Especially with small children. Yikes advanced auto parts. Do better. read more

Nice employees and not a very busy store. It's located right next to the gas station. It's kind of hidden next to it. The store is big and has a wide selection. The employees are helpful and were very nice to me. They don't let you work on your car in the lot but I saw some people doing so anyways. Overall, this is your average auto parts store. I came here looking for windshield wipers for my car and used this device they have in the windshield wiper section to find out which size I had to get for my vehicle. They fit perfectly and I'm pleased with my experience here. read more

The manager, Shantelle, has very poor customer service. There was an issue with an order placed with another Advance store. Ordering parts from one store and picking up or having it delivered has never been an issue for me with Advanced. After two days of run around trying to figure out why a part I ordered in the morning and was told would be ready/delivered at 4:30in the afternoon. That wasn't the case, the manager, SHANTELLE, allowed it to sit at the counter after an employee at the original Advanced that the order was placed at continuously called and reordered my item. Today when I go to retrieve item and ask what the issue was SHANTELLE proceeded to tell me to calm down and blame everyone else for the issues with the order. After speaking to the person I made the order with, Shantelle gave bs excuses and lied to my face instead of a simple I'm sorry and moving on. No, I was not expecting a very over the top apology or anything of the sort, but I was expecting to be able to discuss the issue at hand without her know it all attitude and list of lies. She tried to down play the situation when she's really playing with my time. If I was told the item would be here at a certain time then I am expecting it, yes things happen but 2 days? And I still had to travel to the location because it wouldn't be delivered. Shantelle doesn't fit the manager role in my opinion and I think this store has multiple other more optimal candidates. read more

Great customer service by Janelly. My battery had a defect and she was able to determine that the warranty covered a replacement at no cost. She offered advice on long term battery maintenance and products to facilitate that maintenance. It was very busy when I was there, but she was able to multitask and attend to multiple customers while maintaining a positive attitude. read more

I hate playing the damsel in distress role, but when I ventured to try to fix my car on my own like an independent women, well I failed. I was buying fuses for my car and I bought 3 different kinds before I got the right one. Though there were a number of associates working, no one offered to help until I asked an associate. When he helped me, he told me he THINKS this was the right one. Surprise, it wasn't. Obviously from the first try I learned I had to try it out to see if it fits, because eyeballing wasn't working. When I tried to return 2 of the 3 boxes I bought, they refused to accept it, because it was opened (mind you one of which was due to the sales associate). I left upset, but if that was their return policy what could I do. Since I was still a bit peeved it decided to read what the return policy was online. Well to my surprise, you CAN return things you are unhappy with as long as you have a receipt and original packaging! They flat out lied to me, because they didn't want to do the return. I went back and told them about their return policy and they reluctantly and with attitude did the return. They are rude and liars. I will NEVER come here again and would not recommend this location to anyone. I've gone to other locations and they were very helpful and friendly, so it's not the company but this particular store. read more

Horrible customer service, called while I was 3 minutes away at 8:58 on a Sunday and they couldn't hold the doors open for an extra minute. I was right there about to turn on their road. I explained my cars out of commission and they did NOT care. I spoke to a Yasina or some girl. She could care less. Also to add, every time I go in they treat all customers with a "What do you want?" Attitude. Very careless, unfriendly environment. This is not only from one experience but several from 2 or 3 different auto parts stores. Yesterday afternoon while on my way to pick up my son from school, my car just DIED on me, on Broward Blvd. Horns are honking at me,...and my car will just not work. Blue lights come,....and the Plantation Police Dept are there to help. We get a service aide to push me with his vehicle,..etc etc. We get it to a Walgreens and we are, sorry, the service aide, is trying with all his mite to push my car into a spot. Then I hear a voice talking to the police,..You need help? So there is a service aide and a total stranger pushing me in my car. WOW! Right place, right time, for me at least. Got out of my car,..thanked the cops and said good-bye, now all alone and ready to just cry my eyes out...the mystery man says,..."what happened?" I begin to tell him, and he offers to look under my hood. Yes, God is looking over me because this mystery man has a shirt that says ADVANCED AUTO PARTS. His name is David. David looks under my cars hood and see's different things. Told me to turn car on,..listens a few times,..etc....and explains so I could understand what was probably wrong. Oh no. Its a gone'er. Tears in my eyes,...I looked at this man and said,...I have no idea what to do now. He gave me 2 phone numbers. Story gets longer after that to my darn car dying on me,..but this man David,...aka MYSTERY MAN,....saved this woman who had no idea what to do a major panic attack, literally, AND,....I am going to get $$$ for my junked car. Thanks to David. I will FOREVER be grateful he helped the service aide and for looking at the car and the numbers he gave me. May not of seemed much to him,...but it really helped me in many ways.
