He also informed me that the repair could cause issues with other steering/alignment components in the future, but said he did not see issues with those components now. I felt that Shane was being honest with me and went ahead ordering the parts needed for this repair. I will update this review after the repair is completed. For now I remain optimistic.

My Experience With Outlaw Offroad - Greensboro…read more Long story, but based on my experience, I would not trust these guys with my vehicle or parts. I don't like publicly calling out a business, and I've given them multiple opportunities to resolve this privately. I've called, emailed, and reached out multiple ways without getting this handled. I dropped off a set of 2011 F-250 axles to have Artec trusses welded on, tone rings installed, and gears installed. I was originally told approximately two weeks. Two weeks turned into weeks, and then months. Throughout that time I was given several explanations for the delays: other axle jobs came in, their pinion tool broke, and later their welder was out for repair. At one point I was specifically told they didn't want to use their other welder because they weren't confident it would provide adequate weld penetration. Eventually I was running out of time and told them to just tack everything together and I would finish welding it myself. They asked me to give them another week and assured me everything would be completed. When I arrived to pick everything up, they were still welding on the axles. I was told they had been working on them until midnight the night before. That's when the problems really started. The rear tone rings hadn't been installed. I was told it was only six bolts and I could easily install them myself. I questioned that because I believed the axles had to come apart to install them--and, unfortunately, I was correct. When I started inspecting the front axle, I found damage to the unit bearings that appeared consistent with them having been struck with a hammer. The metal was mushroomed enough that the tone ring wouldn't seat correctly. I replaced both unit bearings. During disassembly, I also discovered the C-clips on the outer stub axles had not been reinstalled and the O-ring seals were damaged. This was present on both sides. Then I inspected the welding. For context, I'm a welder and Certified Welding Inspector by trade, so this is an area I deal with professionally. I found that the entire bottom side of the track-bar bracket had not been welded, along with another unwelded tab on the truss. Thankfully, I have the equipment and experience to correct the welding myself. Someone who didn't could have installed these parts without realizing what had been missed. I contacted the shop about these issues and was asked, "What do you want, a refund or something?" I explained that I simply wanted everything made right. I was told my information would be given to the owner, Brian, and that he would handle it. I never heard from him. I've continued trying to contact the shop by phone and email and even submitted a quote request hoping someone would respond. I still haven't gotten a resolution. On top of everything else, I was charged for lug nuts and gear oil that I never received, and I am still owed that money. Mistakes happen. Delays happen. Equipment breaks. I understand all of that. What I have a problem with is the combination of months of delays, incomplete work, damaged/missing components, incomplete welds, items I paid for but didn't receive, and then being unable to get anyone to resolve the situation afterward. I gave them plenty of opportunities to handle this privately before posting anything publicly. This is my personal experience with Outlaw Offroad - Greensboro. Take it for what it's worth, but I would not take my own equipment back there.

I had purchased a jeep many years ago from another Jeep dealer in town and had a miserable experience, so we went to Rubitrux. They are PHENOMENAL! All the guys are knowledgeable and helpful, but I especially love Clinton. He sold us a Gladiator Mohave that had 4000 miles on it for a very reasonable price. Great vehicle with 35" soft rock climbing tires. I bought a second set and had them studded for winter. He found me a used set of wheels for $400! We have a very large dog that goes everywhere with me, and the rear seat wasn't the safest for him. Clinton had 2/3 of the back seat removed and replaced with a locking goose gear. It eliminates the "leg room" space in back which is dangerous for the dog in an accident. Now I have a place in the car to really secure a firearm if I need to, and it's flat - perfect for a dog bed. The original owner tinted the windows really dark. I didn't notice it until the first time I tried to make a turn in the dark - couldn't see anything out the side windows. I took it back and the first guy who looked at it thought it would have to go back to the tinting shop. But one of their mechanics gave it a try and had the tinting off in 20 minutes. I've had the truck for about 2 years and other than modifications, oil changes and inspections, I haven't had to do anything to it. When I've taken it in for routine service, they've always given me a loaner. Even when they are crazy busy, Clinton works me in around my schedule. I spend most of the time alone in the mountains, and I'm 100% confident they will take care of my truck without taking advantage of my lack of car knowledge. They know Jeeps. Great guys, great company!

My once beloved Fiat 500X was due for inspection in 4 weeks. The check engine light had been on for months and the dealer stated it wouldn't hurt to drive it- they never told me the car wouldn't pass NC State inspection because of it. Ar'd that 4 wk point all of the dashboard system software lit up a panoply of impressive error messages and refused to start. Dealer across state line in VA wanted car towed there but didn't promise much. After this dealer charged me $2,000 to try to diagnose why the AC/backup camera stopped working only to say it would take an estimate of another $5,000 for some wire harness I decided NO. Salvage co in Greensboro offered me 8 cents per # ($200 total) if I towed it to them. So, the future looked bleak UNTIL Mr. Travis Gentry (the aforementioned ANGEL in disguise) came to my house, I briefly told him history and instead of towing it to a local dealer who offered me $500 on a trade in Mr. Gentry offered to take it to his workshop and run some tests. He was able to get the car running, properly diagnose what was wrong, and give a fair repair estimate. I CANNOT say enough good about this angel sent to me ONE day before the registration expired. I love his honesty, fair pricing, and above all his ethics which is a rarity in today's world. RECOMMEND Travis highly. You won't be disappointed.
