We've bought nearly every part needed for vehicle repair through advanced for years now. Our advanced back home in Abilene Texas is wonderful, this however has been a miserable experience. We drove 45 miles to this location, nearest to us where we're working in South Texas. We purchased two parts and three jugs of oil, then paid for two other parts that were to be delivered the next day. The next day we were unable to make the 45 mile drive again before they closed late that night because the better half didn't get off work in time to make the drive. It took us three days to get back over there, just to discover they didn't have one of the two parts it was coming from out of town. It was supposed to arrive next day, we waited three days to go, and still it wasn't there.....And no one called to tell us this......That night an evening clerk told us it was scheduled to arrive the next day. I asked him if anyone was going to call us, because I didn't want to make another 45 mile drive, 90 miles round trip in a 1-ton diesel pick-up for no reason. He assured me that as soon as it arrived the next morning we would be called. There was no phone call the next day. We got caught up in life for the next three days, and finally I asked the better half if he spoke to advanced and he said no, so I called them to find out what the deal was. The manager Dana (a man) looked up the issue on his computer and said he couldn't see that they had even ordered any parts for me.....WHAT?!? He got rude with me telling me he could refund me the money but there was nothing he could do...........um how can you refund me the money if you show you never ordered parts for me??? Wouldn't that mean I never gave you money???? This guy had no clue as to what was going on at this point. And he just behaved like he didn't want to deal with it. Just kept telling me sorry ma'am there's nothing I can do, I'll go ahead an issue a refund to your debit card......I'm screaming in my head at this point NO I NEED THE PARTS!!!! So finally I told him I needed his district manager's phone number because this was unacceptable and I wanted it resolved TODAY! So on this day we're now a week into this.The district manager Bill gets back to me by phone and at first he seemed completely uninterested in the fact that one of his managers was acting like a jerk. He interrupted me when I spoke and spent the first fifteen minutes insisting I deal with Dana the location's manager instead of him and defending him. I refused and insisted that he as the district manager fix the problem. So finally he decided he was going to help. Bill and I had several conversations on the phone to try and resolve the problem. He told me the part would be in on Sunday, but that it didn't have all the components necessary that I needed in it. So he ordered the missing part as well on Advanced's dime, not mine. And informed me that on Wednesday when that part came in he would call me so I could come pick up all three. Today is Monday it's now been ten days since all of this has started. I have a six hour drive on Friday to drop my truck off with my home town shop mechanic, and I have to have all of my parts. Bill knows this and has assured me that on Wednesday they'll have everything for me. So two days, we'll see. I'll be editing this review at that time. read more
