After getting through their terrible call system the employee picked up the phone and set it down so it would stop ringing, I sat there for 4 minutes before they hung up on me, they also refused my insurance despite my insurance having them listed as an in network pharmacy. read more

A standard CVS. Clean, very well lit, and all stocked shelves. Turning into the lot can be a pain if there is heavy traffic and people do not let you in. Usually no lines inside at all. A good CVS to go to. read more

Waiting 15 min on hold for pharmacy so i literally drove there still on hold to see no one in line or in drive through and me on hold for over 25 minutes for medicine i needed. They gave my last script to someone else and said it was my handwriting so now I'm without life needed medicine because of a snooty stuck up pharmacist and staff. Will never step foot in there. This is the worst CVS pharmacy, or any pharmacy I have ever had to deal with.. script order sent and status was on hold. Called four consecutive business days in a row to be told they were out of my med, only in the fourth call to be told, oh no, we have it in stock, but your insurance requires a referral, we'll get that started, should only take a day or two.. went up there today prepared to just pay cash already and lo and behold... out of stock... never been so disappointed with a pharmacy before. Like, if anything is wrong just tell them it's out of stock? Am I supposed to just keep calling every day? You can't tell me when it's supposed to be there??? Utterly useless. Asking doc to change to someplace else.. at this point my follow up doc appt will be BEFORE I even get to fill the script.... read more

I made a Yelp account specifically to complain about this CVS. I went to this store with my boyfriend to buy a box of condoms (we are both 24 years old). I was absolutely appalled to find that all of the condoms, lube and Plan B pills were locked in a glass case. I asked a manager to please open it for me and after she giggled at us, she made me point at which items we wanted, then she took them up to the front counter herself and made us follow her. She announced to everyone in the front of the store that we will be purchasing these items. She refused to let us carry the condoms and lube around with us in the store while we finished shopping. I'm not complaining because I was embarrassed. I'm complaining because this is an absolute disgrace. Young people (I'm thinking high school kids) will never feel comfortable going to this store to buy protection. These things should be readily available and open for everyone to buy, and no one buying condoms and lube should EVER be made to feel stupid. I will never, EVER shop at this store again, for anything. The manager was belittling and downright rude, and I will not support a store that outwardly shuns protected sex. read more

It sounds like I should be glad that I don't use this stores pharmacy but my brief visit didn't leave as scorned as the rest of the reviewers. Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure we didn't NEED another CVS just over a mile away from the Ferndale store down the way. Honestly, I miss Perry Drugs and Arbor but it is what it is. That aside prices here are a little insane for name brands....they obviously encourage you to by their store brand product which is never as good. read more

Seems like others have had horrible experiences here, that's too bad. Here's my review : If anyone has been around this area long enough, then you will know this cvs is where the brothel / suicide / overdosing / drug selling dilapidated days inn used to be located. Automatically gets a 5 star for boost of eye appeal and property value from me. Next, 3 stars for service. Always understaffed and has a line to check out. Haven't used pharmacy, or seems like would b 2 star. Next automatically gets another star, bumping it up to 4 stars from me, just because its open 24 hours, and conveniently next to Tim hortons also open 24 hours. My rating would most likely be less it seems if I used the pharmacy, but unfortunately I haven't had experience yet. read more

CVS Pharmacy is a drugstore after all and alcohol could be considered a drug.The kind of drug that for the most part contradicts the kinds of products CVS normally provides to its local communities. But I'll cut the crap right now haha. In general, it's been interesting seeing CVS incorporate alcoholic beverages in a competitive market. They don't just operate as pharmacies but as convenience stores and even mini-grocery stores with what they sell. After failing to find hard liquor at the Kroger around the corner, CVS had essentially a full selection. We picked up a Svedka Strawberry Lemonade which wasn't too shabby. It's tough to rate based on service because CVS isn't like a restaurant or even a full fledged grocery store like Kmart or Kroger. CVS also isn't "the place to be" on a typical Saturday night. When we needed assistance, we were given it. Simple as that. I'll always remember the smell of mary jane when we walked into this CVS. Classic... Overall, nothing out of the ordinary if you've been to a few CVS in your lifetime. read more

Anyone who uses cvs pharmacy at 33 w 9 mile rd I recently went to this pharmacy on 9 mile and John r and was treated horribly they knew my prescription was on back order and had me have my dr send over my prescription 3 times before they refused to fill it and neglected to tell me they didn't even have my medication and it's been on back order for months if I had known this information I wouldn't have had it sent to them 3 times now I'm on day five without my medication and no idea when I'm going to be able to get another prescription written and sent to a whole new pharmacy the staff is extremely rude and unprofessional they hung up on me 4 times I'm pulling all of mine and my children's prescriptions from this pharmacy and going to a new pharmacy I'm very upset and disgusted with the way I was treated by the staff they're very rude and disrespectful I would recommend that anyone who has prescriptions at this pharmacy to stop using this pharmacy they deserve to be shut down this place is a joke and I suggest they be put out of business I'll never use cvs pharmacy ever again read more

This CVS is average. I've had a good experience and some bad experiences. First of all, if you are going in there to purchase something really fast, don't expect to be in and out in less than 5 minutes. Every time I go in, the lines are extremely long and it takes forever to get people cashed out. Also, if you are purchasing sparkling wine (you know, the non-alcoholic wine), have your ID ready cause you'll get carded anyway. I went in there around the holidays last year with my cousin, and I didn't have my purse with me. We wanted to purchase sparkling wine, and the cashier absolutely refused because I didn't have ID. Now I understand that cashiers have to make sure they follow policy, but I was trying to buy something that I drank when I was little. It's non-alcoholic! There was a pharmacist there a while ago, however, that was really helpful and nice when helping me answer questions. I'm not sure if she's still there, she was pregnant when I used the pharmacy that one time. read more

I'm tired of CVS trying to regulate my medication I had a prescription for Ultram 6 weeks ago 45 tablets they give me 42 because that's enough for 7 days my bottle says I have 1 refill so I go on the internet to have it filled also had to call to have it filled go to pick it up the woman precedes to tell me that I don't have any the doctor needs to call it in but I said my bottle says 1 refill on it. She looks it up precedes to tell me why I have only 3 pills left because they decided to only give me 42. I told the woman I want my 3 pills I'm going to switch to a different Pharmacy your app and the internet and calling in is all ridiculous when it comes to getting your refills filled. read more

The only positive thing about this CVS is that it's open 24 hours...and that's pretty much it. This is the closest CVS to my house so I usually end up going here whenever I need a prescription filled and I always regret it. The pharmacy staff here are terrible - service is always extremely slow (I've waited an an hour and forty-five minutes for a prescription I was told would take 15 minutes), the pharmacists are often rude, and there is almost always some mistake with my prescription (rang me up for the wrong person's prescription, filled my prescription with the wrong drug, forgot to apply my insurance etc.). Do not go here if you can avoid it, especially if you have to visit the pharmacy. read more

Pick a different CVS or somewhere else to go! Seriously! I biked here today and was asked to leave my backpack at the front of the store (where anyone could have walked by and stolen it). I've visited this CVS many times and never seen anyone be asked to do anything like this. The service at this cvs was usually pretty bad.(Long lines, slow employees). But tonight was infuriating. Despite being a 24 hour pharmacy they said they weren't taking anymore "walk ins." I came here under the belief that my prescription from the urgent care across the street could be filled. I went to the other cvs on 9 mile and they had no problem. Rude employees! After spending an hour scanning photos at the photo kiosk(which was running so slow) I was told that I could not complete my order because the employees did not know how to load the photo paper into the printers. Rude employees, the type of rude where you ask them a question and they just walk away from you without saying anything. Go to a different CVS like the one in Royal Oak. This is the nicest CVS Ive been to. Most of the emloyees are helpful and courteous. What I like about this store is the district manager, she does manage some of the other stores. I had a problem last year in which I had filled a prescription and got home only to find out I was missing half the medication. It was for a controlled substance and when I went back I was informed that since the pharmacists count was correct that, in a round about way, I was lying. The store manager, at this time, said everything except calling me outright a liar. They told me if I had a problem I could contact the district manager. I thought what a bunch of crap, and assumed the DM would just side with the pharmacist and store manager. Well it took a week and a half but I got a call from the DM. She apoligized multiple times and said it was their mistake. She had went over the books for the last few months and found that the error had occured 3 months before. Someone there had taken the meds and doctored the books. I was extremely impressed because I figured that even if the error was found I'd never hear about it. There are some honest people. So if you do have a problem in the store and its not solved in a fair way, then go up the chain. read more

I am not a fan of this place. They switched my prescriptions over to this pharmacy and this will be the last time they do ! The pharmacy has screwed up my scripts a handful of times. From telling me my insurance is expired to me waiting days to pick up scripts. The last issue I had with them was my insurance was yet again "expired" the girl behind the counter told me to contact my insurance provider and figure it out. I went through all the leg work and was asked by the providers that my pharmacy should be calling and not me. I explained what I was told to do as the pharmacy had instructed me to do so. Staff is unprofessional and ignore customers as they frantically pace around for an unknown reason. Overall, I like CVS but the pharmacy needs work ! read more

Being in the hospitalty industry for 8 years, customer service is very importatin to me, very little do I complain about service. However, my experience at the pharmacy last night was ridiculous. I called in prescription at 1pm and stopped in at 5pm to pickuup and the girl at the counter said it was not ready yet and if I would wait 10-15 min it would be ready. The lady after me was changing out a prescription that was not called in and they seemed to tell her that they were working on it. Another lady that called in at 1pm was waiting for her prescriptions as well as they seemed to have a long line of customers picking up prescriptions. So after about 25 min of waiting, I finally get up to the counter again and the same girl asked my info and then asked if I called it in or the doctor called it in because it was not in the computer. wow.....so after explaining I just came to pickup refill that I called in , she still didnt seem to know what she was doing and asked me to sit down again and she will figure it out....Then she went on to help the following customers in line.. she may be new I do not know, but that was poorest customer service i received in long time. So after another 5 min of waiting and no response , i got up and left ...I did come back 3 hrs later to pickup prescription . read more

I have been going to this CVS store through name changes since the 70s when it was originally Perry's drug store. But I have never in all of those decades received such horrible and demeaning service by the pharmacy until this year. CHINWE, the pharmacist, will hang up on you, after she's kept you on hold for 15 minutes or more while she "takes care of patients" who does she think is on the phone? Of course it will be a patient who deserves their rightful place in line and not put on hold until it's convenient and when I object to this treatment, she more than once has hung up on me if you asked to speak with her at the window and if she doesn't like what you're saying she will slam the window on you and never will listen to reason. She and the staff haven't any business serving the vulnerable public in that capacity. They are all rude and backed by the store managers. They never have my prescriptions in stock and I end up going with out for several days until they finally "get their order in." They are ultimately the ones responsible for the number of medications needed per store yet month after month fall short. And the patient is left to suffer without any compassion or understanding. I have spoken with store managers Dana, Michael, and Steve and it is my opinion that they are just as useless as any member of the pharmacy except for Tracy who I admire and respect and she has been there saving grace since the good all days when customers were treated with respect. However, no more CVS. ALL of my friends have had similar situations and have moved over to Kroger's pharmacy which is exactly what I'm going to do. So, I am certain it is not just me. I am completely done. I refuse to be treated with such a lack of dignity. When I rightfully complain that I am a patient, as well and deserve my rightful place in line as though I were at the window, I am met with having the phone slammed down on me. They do this as well when I'm just trying to reason with them about my medicine and why it should be there when I need it. If I'm at the window heaven for bid I should voice my opinion for their rude behavior because they just add to it and will slam the window in your face, all the while holding your medication hostage for all intents and purposes. read more
