I agreed to this arrangement. I was also told that paying the balance in cash would qualify me for a discount. However, as soon as I provided my credit card information, communication completely stopped. Instead of charging only the agreed deposit, Montway charged my credit card for more than the full agreed amount without my authorization. As a result, my credit card exceeded its limit. Since then, I have repeatedly tried to contact Montway by phone and email, but I have received no meaningful response. The only emails I continue to receive are automated messages demanding that I approve my credit card payment. To be fair, the carrier that Montway assigned was professional, courteous, and did an excellent job transporting my vehicle. They are not responsible for this issue. My complaint is entirely about Montway's billing practices and customer service. It is also concerning that the transportation proceeded normally while the payment dispute remained completely unresolved. At this point, I genuinely don't know how to resolve the situation. I expected clear communication and honest billing, but instead I was left with an overcharged credit card and no way to get answers. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Montway.

At Gandhi Shipping, where we say "we can ship with 120$ per box", but then after we capture your goods, we pretty much loot you in the name of generic hidden charges, like : "Container handling charges","Warehouse charges" which are MORE! than the shippment charges. And when I tried to call the Chicago number, I was on a perpetual hold and never spoke to an actual person. The only way I was able to get ahold of anyone was to submit a request for another quote on their website. I then received a call within seconds. Even then, it was a general office and they couldn't process the cancellation or get ahold of someone from the Chicago branch. It took 3 more phone calls before I could finally get on the phone with someone who could process my request because someone was kind enough to give me the national office number and within 5 minutes, I was able to cancel my move. (Shoutout to Chris and the number for the national office is 469-461-5000) I can't imagine what it would have been like if I actually needed to go through the steps of moving when their customer service was this bad and they are so hard to reach. I gave a detailed inventory to two different employees. I stressed the amount of furniture and put all books, CDs and other non fragile items in boxes BEFORE the move day. Their estimator quoted, as per their website, 4 men, 1 truck, less than 7 hours total. It took 2 days, 3 truck loads and on first day they asked if we could pack more stuff ourselves to help! What happened to full pack? On the second day, no one seemed interested and TWICE I was told that house was empty. On checking I found multiple items lying around, mirr still on walls and every time I unpack another box I find something broken. The last few boxes just had stuff inside loose with no attempt to pack or protect.
