The car arrived safe and sound, which I am grateful for. The driver didn't speak a LOT of English, but he was very nice, which I am also grateful for. I feel like Montway was a bit deceptive in the quote however. The initial quote was raised because the car was "modified", but in reality it had been stretched 1.5 ft in the front. This was not an issue for the transport, as the driver had a trailer that hauled 2-3 vehicles. Montway rep said on the phone that $200-$300 would be charged to my credit card and the rest would go to the driver, and I received an email stating that $1370 would be owed to the driver on delivery. In reality, Montway charged my card $499, and sent another email stating to only pay the driver $1,100, which I did, but it felt deceptive. I am guessing that Montway got a way better deal from the driver than they anticipated, and instead of passing some of that saving on to me, or explaining, they just charged my card double what the rep said they would and kept all of the profit. Also, the rep promised tracking, which never happened - we had to call the driver a couple of times to find out the delivery time, because he hit traffic (which I understand he cannot control) and got held up by a couple of hours. This review is based on being charged cancellation fee even though I clearly request cancellation well before anyone was dispatched. On Monday, June 15th, 2026, at 7:59AM PST time, I sent a cancellation request on my outlook email as specified exactly in there terms and condition as followed to the email of info@montway.com. Section 9: c. Cancellation of an Order by Customer must be submitted in writing via email sent to info@montway.com. Cancellations made via telephone, text, chat or any other medium will not be accepted by Montway. No one was dispatched yet when that email was sent that. I have uploaded the receipt of the email to this complaint On Wednesday. June 17th, 11:37AM PST, I received an email that a driver was dispatched even though my cancellation was well before that. I was told on call on Wednesday that I would be charged because someone was dispatched. Why was someone dispatched when I clearly cancelled the order well before that? As specified in their terms and condition: a. Customer may cancel an Order at any time at no cost or cancellation fees as long as the Order has not yet been accepted by a Carrier. They claimed on call they could not find the email record and claimed I will be charged the cancellation fee. I would be happy to work with Montway, the BBB, and outlook, to show proof of this email receipt that was was sent to their email at info@montway.com. I have provided them the receipt of the email record on the phone call and in chat and it was still not resolved. As of now this is also a filed complaint with the BBB and will be disputed with my bank if it comes to that. Edit: I see the reply below and you could message me at-least to find out my order. My vehicle was scheduled to be picked up by today, yet after a week of delays, it still has not been assigned to a carrier. Every day, I am told that they are still unable to find a carrier, despite having booked with a company that promotes itself as one of the most reputable names in the industry. What has been most frustrating is that throughout the process, I was led to believe that securing a carrier and scheduling pickup was imminent. Based on the information I received, I expected my vehicle would be assigned quickly. Instead, each day has brought the same explanation that a carrier still has not been found, with no clear timeline for when pickup will actually occur. The communication has been poor and entirely reactive. I have had to call every day for updates rather than receiving proactive communication from Montway. The expectations set at the beginning of the process have not matched reality. They lost my ignition key during transport, ripped off the front bumper to my hundred thousand dollar car upon delivery and I paid them an additional $500 for expedited delivery for it to take greater than three weeks ( it was a 15 hour drive). On the 22nd montway was supposed to guarantee delivering my car on the 30th from New Jersey to Florida Wednesday the 24th the first driver didn't show up at all Thursday the 25th. The second driver promised that on the 26th Friday morning he would come to the house and pick up the car. Keep in mind on the way took the money out of my account Wednesday. Friday came Friday afternoon no driver I'm moving out of my apartment in New Jersey. I have to call the company to find out that the driver broke down no communication leaving out of Brooklyn on Tuesday the 30th they are trying up charge me. $100 cash to leave out for New York. If you value your vehicle, your time, or your sanity, DO NOT hire Montway Auto Transport. They market themselves as a "premium" broker, but they are actually a negligent middleman that harvests your fee and then subcontracts your property to the most careless, bottom-of-the-barrel carriers available. I trusted them with my 2023 BMW M4 Competition. They assigned the job to GQ Line LLC, a company operating a trailer that was in a state of absolute squalor. The equipment was disheveled and structurally unsafe--the ramps had sharp, lifted metal edges, and the driver was using loose wooden blocks as makeshift ramps to load and unload high-end vehicles. It is a miracle my car wasn't totaled by this "professional" setup. Because of their hazardous equipment, my car was delivered with a completely flat front driver-side tire. Upon inspection at the BMW dealership, it was discovered that the tire had been punctured in two separate places. Because these are high-performance, low-profile tires, they could not be patched and required a total replacement. Furthermore, since the vehicle arrived in an undrivable state, I was forced to call a towing company to transport the car from my home to the dealership, adding even more out-of-pocket expenses to a situation that was 100% their fault. The driver spoke very little English, which Montway apparently thinks is acceptable for a client-facing logistics role. It was nearly impossible to get a clear confirmation that the damage was being recorded. When I repeatedly pointed out the flat tire at delivery, the driver just nodded and said "yes" to everything while shoving a blank phone screen in my face to sign. I was essentially held hostage--I had to sign a blank digital form I couldn't read just to get my car released from their dilapidated truck. For over two weeks (March 30th to April 14th), Montway's claims department did effectively nothing. They claim to "mediate," but they actually just sit in the middle and forward vague emails while the carrier dodges responsibility. Even worse, when I finally gave up on Montway and demanded the carrier's insurance info, Montway provided me with the wrong insurance contact. They are so disorganized they don't even keep accurate records of the people they are hiring to drive your cars. The only reason I finally got reimbursed for the cost of the tow and the damages was because I did the work Montway was too lazy to do. I had to hunt down the carrier's actual insurance provider myself. Within hours of me contacting the insurance company--who immediately cc'd Montway and the carrier on a demand for payment--the carrier suddenly "found" their Venmo and paid me. Montway took my money and left me to fight a battle they were paid to handle. They have no vetting process for their carriers' equipment, they provide garbage data to their customers, and they have zero backbone when it comes to holding their vendors accountable. I placed an order for 2 vehicles but the window for pick up was way too big and I was told I wouldn't have a carrier assigned until 1-2 days prior. I tried to cancel the orders after I confirmed there was no carrier assigned. I was told I could cancel and a supervisor would contact me within 24 hours. No call the next day. The day after I had 2 customer service reps tell me it would be 24 hours. No call so I left a voicemail. No call the NEXT DAY so I sent an email. I talked to yet another customer service representative (I had talked to 5 at this point). Mila was very sweet but I asked to talk to a supervisor. SHE couldn't get a hold of a supervisor so she was told to tell me to wait for someone to call me back. This is ridiculous. They don't answer the phones, supervisors can't do their job and I'm 4 days into a cancellation period being told it should have been done 3 days ago. Go straight with a carrier and don't mess around with the brokers. I was told I'd get a call in 15-20 minutes. That didn't happen so I called back. The senior supervisor was rude and kept cutting me off telling me I had to wait 24 hours between requesting cancelation and confirmation. I told her it's day 4. She cut me off again to tell me they have 24 hours. I explained it's been over 72 hours and she said she'd send an email. I tried to clarify if it was a cancelation request email or a confirmation of cancelation. She told me she'd send an email and they have 24 hours to cancel it. I explained AGAIN they request was put in the 30th. She said I would get an email for the cancelation and that was it. Horrible customer service. This has been the reply on negative reviews. I had a great experience with Montway Auto Transport. They kept in contact with me throughout the entire process for my Ford F150 from Indiana to California. Schedule on 6.11.26, picked up 6.16.26 and delivered 6.24.26 I didn't know some of the transport trucks were not able to access certain streets and the person holding the car for me at the pickup point could not drive my truck to the meet up point. The transport driver offered to take an Uber to the house, stopped to put gas in the truck since it was low and I sent him a Zelle payment for both. The person helping me at the pickup point followed the driver in their personal car to take photos of the MC#, DOT# and the name of the transporter company on the side of the truck as instructed by Montway. The transporter answered my text along the way and let me know when there was any change of plans as far as arrival date. Honestly, I was so nervous after reading lots of reviews and sorry others did not have a good experience with Montway and feel fortunate to have had such a wonderful experience. read more

My first driver straight up canceled pick up the day after he was supposed to pick up my car and the company did absolutely nothing about it. They guarantee pick up within a 5 day window and my car didn't get picked up til the 6th day and they said " sorry we don't compensate" I asked to talk to a supervisor and 6 days later no one has ever reached out. the person who ended up getting my car was great and got it to me fast, but montway still hasn't even updated saying my car is delivered. The experience I had with Montway is not an experience that I wish upon anyone. From the very beginning they over promised and under delivered on every date they provided. They mixed up my vehicle with another one that was similar to mine and to make things much worse, after waiting nearly 3 weeks for my vehicle to show up, my vehicle arrived with $2,500 worth of damage. The damage was caused by the carrier that they contracted with (Del Monte Auto Transport), and the carrier is denying all of it. It has been a terrible and very stressful experience. I purchased a 1949 Cadillac and Montway was given the task to deliver it to the port of Long Beach for shipment to me in Honolulu. Their agent UNITRANSPORT abandoned the vehicle prior to the port accepting it. I hired a person to completethe delivery. Absolutely the worst experience. I paid $ 1,899 almost a month in advance. I was told I had a "Guaranteed Pick Up" in a covered carrier. Well first the pickup was not covered and no one showed up after I took a day off from work. Do NOT use them. I agree with all the other services. Montway just farms the trucking to the first bidder and then good luck! My car showed up two days before the delivery window - with zero notice. They could have given me a heads up 6-12 hours early and I could have coordinated something. But rather, they just show up. Im not home so they leave it 30 minutes away in a super sketchy lot. The car's engine over heats and is not tagged - it is a 2017 Range Rover but has not been driven for years after my mother passed. It was not easy getting the car home. Then customer service called to tell me that it was not a miscommunication! If they had just called and updated the delivery it would have been great news. But no call.. no heads up. A very stressful experience. It took over six weeks to bring my car from Fl. I finally had to threaten them with law enforcement. They got another driver after giving me the run around for over a month. My car had a full tank of gas, cleaned and detailed coming from Fl to Ma. When it finally arrived, the car was trashed inside, empty gas tank, trash and empty bottles everywhere. Even work boot prints on the back of the seats. Cement dust, and a sticky substance that I don't know what it is. I want to add that my car wasn't registered or insured, which they took great risks, and it appears that my car was used by frat boys as a work vehicle. Montway is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever been a part of. Settle in, this will be a long one... From day one they are misleading with their advertisement. Everything you see indicates that MONTWAY will be picking up your vehicle. This is not the case. They are simply a broker. I'm sure their agents will tell you this is abundantly clear on their website, but I guess im just a mark. When they came to pick my car up, they said the brokered driver would be there between 10 and 3. They called me at 7 asking if they could still pick the car up. I had to reschedule til the next morning. This was only the beginning My vehicle transport was quoted to take 4 days. It took 2 months. My car got stuck on the top of a transport truck in the middle of Arizona. Montway repeatedly misled me, telling me it was only one day away for about a week. Finally, I asked them to get real with me. That's when they started letting me know that they had no idea when my car would be delivered. One of their customer service managers (Jimmy) had the gall to tell me I could start walking the 20 miles I drive to work every morning instead of continuing my rental car service while I waited on them. When my car finally did show up, they had scratches ALL over the roof and hood of the vehicle. Two more months of battling and they finally sent me a check to cover the MINIMUM amount listed on my repair quote. Nevermind my rental car for two months... Extra fees I was very disappointed in the service Montway provided. They charged me an Expedited Service fee which I agreed to. Pickup was between 8am and 9am but the car wasn't picked up until 9:50PM at night! A 13-hour delay significantly undermines the need for a "rush" fee. I have attached photos of the where the driver said he had no room to park his vehicle for pick up. These were taken immediately after he called me. Inconvenience is one thing, it is another to be lied to repeatedly and with different stories as to why the vehicle was not picked up OR delivered. I ended up having to locate my vehicle and pick it up myself 80 miles away from its destination because of the lack of confidence in Montway's customer service and communication. This is a broker company, not the actual carrier, so you'll be dealing with multiple third parties. In my case, the so-called "guaranteed pickup" only meant that a local towing service came, took my car, and kept it at their lot until the broker figured out which logistics company would actually move it. That created a lot of waiting and uncertainty. The car was picked up and cancelled twice before it finally got delivered by the third company that accepted the order. The first company cancelled after a day, then I had to wait for rescheduling. The second cancelled due to mechanical issues, which meant even more waiting. Each cancellation meant another 12 hours before they could assign someone new, plus more time for delivery. While the guaranteed pickup was honored on day one, there is no guaranteed delivery. I was told my car would arrive the next day, but it ended up taking 5 day even though the distance was only a 5-hour drive. Very frustrating. The positives: the final delivery company was excellent very professional and on point. Customer service from the broker was polite and responsive, but they could not provide reliable estimates or guarantees. If you're looking for something quick and guaranteed, this is not the company for you. If you have time on your hands and can tolerate delays, then it may work. MONTWAY USES ILLEGAL PRACTICES. We booked Montway to move our car from MA to TX. The initial quote was fine, but at pickup the driver demanded extra money for items in the car -- even though their own policy allows under 100 lbs. I refused to pay, but before delivery the driver threatened to hold my car hostage unless I paid additional fees. Only after pushing back and telling customer support this was illegal did they finally agree to deliver. Their customer service throughout was rude and unhelpful. The story doesn't end here.. Thinking this as one off experiences, my wife later booked her car with Montway as well. The sales rep recognized the location from previous transaction through payment details This time, and changed the booking from her account instead of mine without even asking. They used information from my prior order, transferred the booking without consent, and then cancelled it -- blacklisting the account. Shockingly, they even called me about her booking, claiming they had reassigned it to me. This is not only unethical, it is outright illegal. Using Montway is playing Russian or Slavic Roulette because they're a broker (apparently with service staff based out of Eastern Europe) and if anything goes wrong you're screwed. Their website says they carry insurance above what is offered RIGHT??? When the car was delivered and I saw the damages, I immediately called Montway and started documenting the problems. Their customer service told me I'd be filing my claim through Montway and they'd take care of it. That turned out to be a lie. I was subsequently told by Montway in an email that since my cars damage was not easily visible (not true, also a lie, but it's their words against yours) they couldn't cover anything and any resolution I'd have would be through the auto transport that they hired. So the problem with Montway? When SHTF they claim they're just a broker and they can't do anything, and you paid them for their service to hire someone for you. Yes, that's right, you're SOL if the company THEY hired to transport your car screws up. So a good auto broker should choose reputable companies right? Not if, you are just trying to offer the lowest prices and pick up your commission from being a broker who relies on quantity over quality. Had absolutely no clue who was picking up our car, no idea when they would get there amd no tracking. The ONLY way to find out where your vehicle was it to connect with the driver(s). Their business was not responsive to our calls or emails. Our car ended up waiting for 5 days in TX for a connection driver to pickup. The tow yard was ridiculous and hard to nail down who was there to help the drivers out. A week later we finally received our car. HAPPY that they listened to our requirement of enclosed transportation. Won't be using their services again. read more
