My dog doesn't even get scared to go to the vet at all because even though it's the place with the shots they pamper her so much she excited to see them. This was my 1st time visiting this place I had come in for my cat ( Oreo), but he ended up very sick unexpectedly. The whole staff and team were absolutely amazing. I did not get the doctor's name I am so sorry it was such a miserable day as we did lose " Oreo" due to a sickness. They did everything they could. They were there every step of the way spoke to me about every process that was happening and going to happen. I couldn't ask for a better experience. I highly recommend this place to everyone. They are amazing. Taking a difficult situation for us being out of towners and totally taking care of us. They didn't gouge us like Novak's offices or WAHS tried to! We needed to put our fur baby down because she was suffering and they fitted us in at the last minute and they were so caring! Novak wanted to charge us $795 just to look at our animal and that didn't include the fees to put her down! Talk about trying to take advantage of a sad situation! Then WAHS charges insanely amounts and if you want to sit in with your pet during the process to comfort them they charge another $100! Advance is great and I totally recommend them! read more

Was visiting the area when our 15 year old cat became very ill due to her chronic kidney disease illness. We knew there was no choice but to put her down. This was the only place open and available to see her on a Sunday. They got us in with no questions asked because they did not want to see any animal suffer. The entire staff was vey kind and compassionate. They handled the situation with ease and I didn't need a bank loan to pay the bill. If I lived in this area, I would not go anywhere else. Yesterday was my first visit with Boogy Magoo, who is a senior cat. I had been advised by a previous vet that he had stomatitis. Thankfully, Dr. Cartwright, who is very educated in dental issues, did not agree with that diagnosis, and explained that it was gingivitis. She recommended bloodwork and a shot for Boogy's arthritis, which may also help with the inflammation in his mouth. I am so pleased with the care of Dr. Cartwright and the staff! I have been going to advanced since 2015 they were so great answered phones when you called not leave a message I have always thought they were great but it doesn't seem they are so caring as much. I needed to get my dog in she was pooping blood set an appointment on the app at 11:10 but had to work was going to leave work to get home to take her I was up all night watching her . Got a phone call to verify and said I needed a later appt if possible she said 12:10 was the latest I said yes the later the better called back at 10:45 to see if there was any later or I would be there at 12:10 left work got a call back at 11:30 saying I had a 11:10 and there was nothing else I could go to the emergency in Henderson and good luck to me I was livid won't be going there again went and pulled all my files for my 3 dogs went by there around 12:30 cause I had left work and there was 4 people sitting at the front desk and I said was expecting a huge crowd they said it was a lull well that was when my appointment was I have never been so pissed and sad at the same time told them I wanted all my files and am just going to North Valley the y seem to care and actually answer the phone read more

This 5* review is not for care, it is for customer service. We didn't have a vet for our 17 y/o dog and his health started failing and within one weekend, we knew that it was inevitable that we would have to have him put down on Monday. First thing in the morning I placed several calls, my call to AAC went to voicemail. My experience with voicemail isn't great so I continued to make several other phone calls and a very compassionate vet office was able to get us in within a few hours. In the meantime, within a half hour of me leaving a message with AAC, Miranda returned my call. Although I didn't use them, I so appreciate that they were so quick to call me back, that is a sign of great customer service and had we still had another pet, I would not hesitate to take them to AAC, which I've heard many great things about! read more

I have a very sick Maltese 18 month old I realize that this business seems to be just about making money instead of really helping sick pets. I was left following message on my phone because I was not an "established" customer so they will price gouge you! They advertise their normal office hours to include Sundays 8-4 so why an emergency charge? " I do see that you have never been here before so I wanna let you know that we do not have any openings today if I were to see you if we were to see you today it would be on an emergency basis or emergency emergency exams are $229. right now we are booking into the month of July when we will have more doctors . I am but if you would like to schedule that emergency for cricket, please give us a call back at 9 2 8- 7 7 0- 4 9 1 8 thank you..." I will drive my fur baby to my Veterinarian at Centennial Hills Animal Hospital in Las Vegas where they are in the business to help pets not rip off a senior citizen. read more

We had to euthanize our precious Lulu. She was suffering and time was of the essence. A friend recommended Advance Animal Center, and it was open until 4pm on Sunday. We called and left a voice message, and they called us back. We made a 230pm appointment, they gave us a quote over the phone. When all of us arrived, they took us into the exam room and explained everything, the vet tech was so good & compassionate. She made sure we were prepared for the next 5 minutes. We never felt rushed, she was very understanding. For all we received, and the way they gently handled Lulu & us- they get 5 stars. Very affordable, great patient care, and a great group of people. They literally make you wait over an hour for a simple appointment. They also require an exam fee be paid for every vaccine booster due to their "accreditation" and push unnecessary vaccines and fecal tests. I am paying almost $120 just for one puppy booster rather than just seeing the vet tech. And I will also be waiting longer due to the unnecessary exam. This kind of practice is exactly why people skip shots for their pets. Very disappointed in all the unnecessary procedures and costs here. read more

I am heartbroken by the treatment my kitten received at Advanced Animal Care. Our sphynx kitten had a leg condition, and instead of improving her situation, the staff made a devastating mistake. They improperly splinted her legs, which not only failed to help but caused irreparable damage. Due to their negligence, our kittens condition is to the point that she will have to have both of her back legs amputated tomorrow morning. we trusted this clinic to care for our kitten and provide professional treatment, but they failed her completely. what was supposed to be a minor issue turned into a lifelong disabili for our kitten, and we are devastated by the outcome. the lack of proper attention and skill in handling her case is unacceptable, and I would urge anyone seeking care for their pets to think twice before bringing them here! read more

Today we took Nova to Urgent visit with Dr. Cartwright due to vomiting and not able to eat and very little water. I was a nervous wreck all night didn't sleep well. We are from Orange County and my dog has a vet, so you'll understand why I was nervous to take my dog to a new Veterinarian. Late last nite I looked up her business and reviews and was very impressed. Took her for her appointment today and I am beyond grateful and 100% satisfied with Dr. Cartwright and her staff. I also learned something new about my dog that her regular Vet never told me, Dr Cartwright is very thorough and was so sweet to my dog I couldn't help but snap some pictures of how comfortable my dog was with her I definitely will bring my dog here going forward. I do love this vet ....However Dr. Henwood talks at you not to you , doesn't acknowledge the owners, doesn't listen , talks to fast and then ask if we have any questions. I do but her attitude suggest that you could care less . Her demeanor is as if we are a bother and wants to get you out of the room . Yes we know you are really the only vet in town however kindness, communication, acknowledgment of those who are paying the bill goes a long way. We love our animals and are there for a reason to work in collaboration for the best outcome for fur family. I am very disappointed in Advanced Animal care. I have been going there for 13 years & I had my cat have a blood test & urinalysis in June 2023. One of the girls called & told me my cat's Blood test & urinalysis was fine & said he had gastro issues. I just now was able to go down & pick up the report bc I like them for my files & I thought everything was fine. When I got home & read the report, he has a lot of abnormal issues that were never addressed to me. I'm not a dr. but the reports are similar to my blood tests so I can read some of it & I see the ranges & someone highlighted them in red. I was never told & now it might be too late for my cat. BEWARE They pawn you off to the Assistants even when your suppose to see Cartright. read more

Hi Yelp Fans, As many of you know, I only give ONE or FIVE stars. You either have it or you don't and sadly Advanced Animal Care does NOT. I was visiting the area, when my dog had an EMERGENCY. She jumped of the bed and either broke, sprained or strained her leg. She was crying and yelping. I called Advance Animal Care and sadly the young woman who answered the call did not have any compassion for my situation and rudely said, "We are not taking any new patients." I politely told her I was not a new patient and that I had an EMERGENCY. She did not seem to care and said I could drive to LAS VEGAS - TWO HOURS AWAY. I was in SHOCK!! I told her that my dog was crying and in pain and once again, she offered no emergency compassion and hung up on me. I would give Advanced animal Clinic a 0 if I could. I took my dog in for a teeth cleaning. They told me that they may need to remove some teeth. Well when they called me to pick him up, they told me that they removed 21 teeth!!! Talking to my neighbor, they did the same thing with her 2 dogs. I moved to this area w/ my best friend, Arcadia in 2013; she has a chronic blood disease that requires chemotherapy medication. The staff at Advanced Animal Care immediately took over her medical needs upon my move to Mohave Valley, and has taken great care of my sweet baby for the past 8 years. Tomorrow morning, after leaving her there for treatment/observation, I will more than likely have her euthanized. She has lived a full life (15 yrs) thanks to the tremendous care of this facility. So, to comply, I was staying in Fort Mojave and had a problem with my dog puddling. I called, made an appointment and took her in. I left her for testing. I called around the time she would be ready, was told I could pick her up, but when I went back to pick her up, people at the front desk had no clue what was going on and acted like they didn't even know that my dog was there. Apparently the person I spoke to had left for the day and didn't bother to tell anyone I was coming to pick up my dog. I was made to wait until a vet tech was available, and SHE didn't have a clue and that I had to wait for the vet to be available. So again, worst customer service, lack of training on how to speak with customers and zero communication between the workers there. And again, two thumbs down. A big thank you to everyone at Advanced Animal Care in Ft Mohave. Our fur baby got deathly ill yesterday. AAC was not our regular vet, but they were kind enough to squeeze us into their busy schedule on such short notice. I truly believe had they not taken us in that our dog would have died. Our fur baby seems to be back to normal. We can only surmise that our dog ingested something toxic. We're not sure what he could have gotten into or what he might have found outside on his own. While out of town at the river, my small dog was attacked by a large pit mix. I called Advanced Animal Care and although they were fully booked for the day, they squeezed my little fluffy in for a wellness exam. The staff was all very friendly, the office was clean, the cost was reasonable ($125 for an exam and two Rx). There was no upselling or suggesting unnecessary testing. Dr. Ericka Cartwright was wonderful and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend this place and now I know my pup has a good vet when we're here on vacation! read more
