Called Mike on Thursday to see if he could save my ancient (parts-discontinued) wall oven (50+…read moreyears) that was having trouble getting up to the correct temperature after I had replaced the dry rotted gaskets that fell off by piecing together similar ones since they no longer sell ones for my model. I could see that the door wasn't closing all the way but didn't know what to do. I need to squeeze a couple more years out of it since they don't make them narrow enough to fit in that wall anymore! Mike came out the same day (in torrential flooding rain,) said I actually did a great job with the gaskets and he was able to adjust the door hinges so that it closes properly now. I was able to make bread at 450 degrees that night with no problem, when it could barely reach 350 before he came. Someone else on here complained about having to pay a service call for something that took only a few minutes. Well, I was thrilled to do it because I appreciated his honesty and expertise which saved me THOUSANDS of dollars. And making a trip to someone's house for free doesn't put food on his table. He gave me a $10 discount since he wasn't there long. Very grateful! I'll definitely call Mike again if I need any other appliance repair. Thanks so much!

There was a lot of accumulated dust and dust bunnies, so while he did the repair I got to clean out lots of those. He got here a little early and took about an hour from start to finish. He was very pleasant and my dog and new puppy loved him. My dryer now works perfectly again and a ton of dust got removed from inside and behind the dryer. A win-win! I needed a circuit board - he showed me the burn point on it - and told me he'd order the part. I was repeatedly updated on the part and when it was expected to be in. On that day, Grant was there bright and early, replaced the board and got my drying working in a remarkably short time. It could not have gone more smoothly. I will surely call Solar when my next appliance goes on the fritz and I highly recommend this business.

When the tech arrived, he was not aware of my request for the fridge but did agree that my oven issues was a board. I asked for a quote for my oven and told him to forget about the fridge. He had trouble with the quote on his tablet and promised to call me the next day. Several days later with still no quote I got a text about my appointment for the next morning. Since I had no prior notice, I rescheduled for the following Friday so I could be off work. Their technician no called no showed. After another week I called another company and got the problem resolved. I paid $350 for no real value. Do not recommend this company and will not use them in the future.

My mother and I are neighbors, we own the exact same Whirlpool washer, and we were both experiencing the exact same problem: the washer would hum continuously after the cycle ended, the pump would keep running, it wouldn't fully drain, and it would get stuck after the rinse cycle. Whirlpool scheduled us both with Broussard Appliance Repair for the next day. Instead, Broussard's called and said they needed to order a part and that they only came to my area on Thursdays. No problem--I understood and agreed to wait. The next day, I checked with my mother to make sure she had received her scheduling call. She hadn't. When I called Broussard's, the receptionist informed me that she had canceled my mother's service ticket because she assumed it was a duplicate--even though it was for two completely different service addresses. I had to call Whirlpool and have the ticket reopened and reassigned. When I called Broussard's back, the receptionist actually told me: "Your mom will have to wait until next Thursday. Yours will be fixed this Thursday and your mom can wash clothes at your house." That is one of the most unprofessional things I have ever heard from a customer service representative. Thursday finally arrived. The technician, Jessie, came out and attempted the repair. Unfortunately, the replacement control board he installed was defective. During the repair, something burned up, and when he left, my washer wouldn't even power on anymore. He ordered another control board and told me it would ship directly to my home and that I'd have to call Broussard's back to schedule yet another appointment. Meanwhile, my mother was still waiting for her appointment the following Thursday. By Wednesday she still hadn't received a confirmation, so I called again. This time I was told the part for her washer was on backorder. That was interesting considering no one had even come out to diagnose her washer yet. Eventually our parts arrived, and we were both scheduled for June 25. Jessie completed my repair and told me everything was fixed. It wasn't. This weekend, I finally started catching up on laundry after being without a properly functioning washer since late April, only to discover the exact same issue is still happening. At 8:03 AM (they open at 8:00), I called Broussard's. The same receptionist answered and informed me that she had already closed my ticket and that I'd have to call Whirlpool myself to reopen the claim. I immediately called Whirlpool and specifically requested NOT to be sent back to Broussard Appliance Repair. To be fair, Jessie was always polite and seemed to genuinely try. My issue isn't with him. My issue is the complete lack of organization, poor communication, unnecessary delays, closing service tickets before customers verify repairs, and one of the most rude and dismissive receptionists I've ever dealt with. From canceled service calls, assumptions instead of verification, defective parts, weeks of delays, having to repeatedly involve Whirlpool because Broussard's couldn't manage their own tickets, and still ending up with a washer that doesn't work--I have spent over a month dealing with something that should have been resolved weeks ago. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and request a different warranty service provider if you have the option.

They claimed the heating element needed to be replaced, charged me $100 for the diagnosis, then another $250 to install a new element. After spending $350, my oven still didn't work. When they came back out, they suddenly decided the real issue was the motherboard--something they failed to check the first time. Now they want another $300 to fix their own mistake! When I asked for a refund for their incorrect diagnosis, I was met with extreme rudeness, especially from an employee named Page, who was not only unprofessional but outright dishonest about the situation. This company refuses to take responsibility for their own errors, and their lazy, careless approach to diagnosing appliances is completely unacceptable. They should have properly assessed the issue from the start instead of making assumptions and wasting my time and money.
