Quite possibly the most unprofessional and rudest appliance repair service that I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They were referred by the manufacturer, but the consistently screwed up scheduling and only wanted to know if service was covered by a warranty. Sent me invoices for Service dates where they never came to my home and then when confronted about it, they got disrespectful and said that because I did not want to do their job for them with the manufacturer that I was being rude. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I first scheduled service through my Whirlpool warranty on May 18. My mother and I are neighbors, we own the exact same Whirlpool washer, and we were both experiencing the exact same problem: the washer would hum continuously after the cycle ended, the pump would keep running, it wouldn't fully drain, and it would get stuck after the rinse cycle. Whirlpool scheduled us both with Broussard Appliance Repair for the next day. Instead, Broussard's called and said they needed to order a part and that they only came to my area on Thursdays. No problem--I understood and agreed to wait. The next day, I checked with my mother to make sure she had received her scheduling call. She hadn't. When I called Broussard's, the receptionist informed me that she had canceled my mother's service ticket because she assumed it was a duplicate--even though it was for two completely different service addresses. I had to call Whirlpool and have the ticket reopened and reassigned. When I called Broussard's back, the receptionist actually told me: "Your mom will have to wait until next Thursday. Yours will be fixed this Thursday and your mom can wash clothes at your house." That is one of the most unprofessional things I have ever heard from a customer service representative. Thursday finally arrived. The technician, Jessie, came out and attempted the repair. Unfortunately, the replacement control board he installed was defective. During the repair, something burned up, and when he left, my washer wouldn't even power on anymore. He ordered another control board and told me it would ship directly to my home and that I'd have to call Broussard's back to schedule yet another appointment. Meanwhile, my mother was still waiting for her appointment the following Thursday. By Wednesday she still hadn't received a confirmation, so I called again. This time I was told the part for her washer was on backorder. That was interesting considering no one had even come out to diagnose her washer yet. Eventually our parts arrived, and we were both scheduled for June 25. Jessie completed my repair and told me everything was fixed. It wasn't. This weekend, I finally started catching up on laundry after being without a properly functioning washer since late April, only to discover the exact same issue is still happening. At 8:03 AM (they open at 8:00), I called Broussard's. The same receptionist answered and informed me that she had already closed my ticket and that I'd have to call Whirlpool myself to reopen the claim. I immediately called Whirlpool and specifically requested NOT to be sent back to Broussard Appliance Repair. To be fair, Jessie was always polite and seemed to genuinely try. My issue isn't with him. My issue is the complete lack of organization, poor communication, unnecessary delays, closing service tickets before customers verify repairs, and one of the most rude and dismissive receptionists I've ever dealt with. From canceled service calls, assumptions instead of verification, defective parts, weeks of delays, having to repeatedly involve Whirlpool because Broussard's couldn't manage their own tickets, and still ending up with a washer that doesn't work--I have spent over a month dealing with something that should have been resolved weeks ago. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and request a different warranty service provider if you have the option. read more

They came out to assess my dryer, ordered the needed parts, came back to fix it and contacted the vendor to honor coverage of everything on my warranty. I did not expect that and am very grateful. Bosch assigned Broussard's to service my refrigerator due to the ice maker and freezer not working. The first tech they sent had to order 3 parts for it and said it would take about a week to come in. Turns out they took 3 weeks to come in. The next tech they sent out to do the repair told me the previous tech was fired for being a "rookie" and that he would have to re-diagnose the refrigerator to see what was really wrong with it. Turns out, the parts I waited 3 weeks for had NOTHING to do with the actual problem. He told me they had a special tech on staff they'd have to send out to do the repair since it was a specific freon problem. I then spoke to a manager who informed me they don't even have anyone on staff qualified to work on my fridge and I would have to call Bosch again to find someone to fix it. I'm baffled that EVERYONE I spoke to at Broussard's knew the first tech was fired for being, I guess unqualified, and NOBODY BOTHERED TO CHECK HIS WORK. You'd think that if they fired someone for not doing good work, it might occur to them to send someone out and double check. The fact this company made the conscious decision to waste an entire month of my time when this could've been handled properly from the start makes my blood boil. DO NOT HIRE unless it's a last resort. read more

There were a couple of glitches since I have a home warranty company and they assigned my problem to Broussard. There were a couple of communication breakdowns but I feel they were caused by the warranty company. Broussard Appliance folks have helped me at least twice with my dryer and now washer. Some time ago they diagnosed and fixed my dryer quickly and efficiently, and it is still going strong. This time they were able to tell me that my washer was not fixable (it was at least 22 years old, so it had a good life), and needed to be replaced. But I felt that I wanted an expert opinion on whether anything could be done for the washer before committing to buying a new one, so even this advice was helpful. Both times, their expertise was obvious. I would definitely use them again. read more

Girl who answers phone is insufferable. Three no shows/no calls, came out fixed one problem and created more and acted like wanting their error (cracking my glass top on my stove) fixed was my issue. Taking 3 days off work for no shows/no calls and to reschedule without any results is bad enough but leaving me with an effed up product is unacceptable. Get rid of the office girl and maybe the company would be better but she is beyond tolerable. They can give attitude but not accept it back, refuse to fix what they broke...no threats here just legal action. read more

I requested service on my Frigidaire Professional Side By Side Refrigerator. The Ice Maker had stopped working. Dave, the Technician who came out to service my refrigerator, looked at the various things that could have been causing the problem. Apparently, in performing his diagnosis of the issue, Dave found out that it was probably a loose wire that had caused the problem. Dave was very professional and gave me some useful tips regarding the Ice Maker. I was very satisfied with Broussard's service charge. I feel that it was very reasonable. read more

Extended Warranty Service assigned an issue with a washing machine to Broussard's. After a couple days of reporting the issue, Broussard's finally called to set up an appointment (nearly two weeks later was the first available spot) some time after noon. On the day of the appointment, I left work to be at the home and ready for their arrival. No contact was made with me after the initial set up. Well, no one ever showed up. Around 3:30, I called the office to get a status update, and the message said that the offices were closed, despite it being within their stated operating hours. Left a message for a call back. The following Monday, I called again, to be told that the customer cancelled the job, one day after setting it up, mind you. They can't say who initiated the cancellation, or what number it was called in from (how convenient). No further help was offered, or option to reschedule. Be wary..... read more

Most unprofessional people I've ever called for service. First they rejected 2 of the 3 service requests Whirlpool sent them. They did no follow-up with Whirpool to confirm the issue so it would be covered under the warranty as the technician discussed with Whirpool and myself on a call during the visit, they didn't follow up with us, the customer. When I called, the lady said they weren't going to and that the technicians don't know what they are talking about so what they say doesn't matter. I'm barely paraphrasing here. So we are out of the cost for diagnostics of 3 machines, and they didn't even bother telling us how much it would be if they fixed then outside of warranty so we can be done with it. Literally no follow up whatsoever. Trying to ask questions on how the process of getting the problem confirmed with Whirpool without them communicating back to Whirpool through the request sent lead to her being rude, disrespectful and incredulous. So my advice, do not call this place for service. They are horrible people and even worse service. No wonder they have shit ratings everywhere. 1 star for the technician himself. 0 for the company. read more

Broussard Appliance Service is my "go to" for appliance repair. My service has always been excellent!

TRAAAAASH!!!! They sent a young man to my house to fix the washer. He didn't know how to fix it the first time. Came back the 2nd time and didn't have the right tools. Even asked to borrow mine. I helped best I could. My tools didn't work. I told him he could go to the Lowe's 5 minutes from my home (like most contractors do) and get what he needed. He refused, saying he didn't want to incur any extra work costs. "But doesn't your employer reimburse you?" I asked. He said he'd rather reschedule to later that day or the next day. I said ok. But then he NO CALL NO SHOWED the next two time slots. I called Whirlpool (Broussard's contractor and the washer manufacturer) about replacing Broussard as the contractor. Whirlpool said they can't replace them until Broussard closes out the ticket. I called Broussard and told them to do so. They did it but they closed the ticket out as "complete" instead of "cancelled." This was an especially egregious lie because it stopped me from being able to get Whirlpool to replace them (some bureaucratic nonsense from Whirlpool no doubt but probably also a diabolically manipulative way for Broussard to ensure they still got paid for the contract). When I called Broussard back and told them to close it out the correct, honest way, as "cancelled" and not "complete," the receptionist told me "I'm glad you know how our office and Whirlpool works so well" and "come up to my office and make me cancel the ticket." Really nasty work. Not only would I not recommend this company, this same report is going to the Attorney General's office, the Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission as I told their receptionist it would. read more

Sent a tech to repair a refrigerator who was not certified to work on refrigerant systems. Their tech did not have the appropriate tools to diagnose the electrical components LG was asking him to check. Unable to check refrigerant system due to lack of certification. Incorrect diagnosis later verified by third party. Rude/condescending receptionist. Questionable attempts to make erroneous repairs. None of this is out of line with the other negative reviews here. They were extremely rude about refund and took weeks to get my money back refunded since they ordered wrong parts and couldn't fix my appliance. WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND. 3 different techs were called to my house to fix two appliances and ordered parts that I had to pay half up front for and none of the parts that are paid for worked and took so long to be refunded for the money I paid upfront. I would be smart and definitely not use this company since new owner has taken over recently! Very reliable and very helpful great service willing to do business again when I need them again

My washer went out, so I called for them to look at it. The tech came and pushed some buttons and left. He diddnt do any more than that for his diagnosis. He then charged me $115 for the service call. Next day I received a quote for over $2100 to fix the washer. It's a $600 washer and the tech quoted to replace everything. So figuring I needed a new washer, I figured I'd take it apart and fix it myself. I spent an hour looking at videos online and found that the magnetic clutch was the problem. It was a $30 part to buy, an hour of my time, and it was only 6 bolts to remove to get to it and it's fixed. I talked to a manager to try to get my $115 back as I felt I was given bad service. The manager told me they would get back to me after I explained everything to them, and they never got back to me. This company is a scam and I would never reccomend them. read more

(was not on time, though, to start the job in the morning since they would book him to start the job at 7:00) It did take more than one visit to repair my BlueStar because parts needed to be ordered. On one visit, though, he wasn't able to go buy a tool he needed to work on the job because it seemed he was overbooked that day. But overall, Broussard's is a good company to work with.
