I had a cracked tooth that had very painful nerves. Three years ago I needed a root canal and this group was excellent. Same this time around. Dr. Kang was honest explaining that the tooth might be saved by the root canal but it also might not and I would need an extraction. Good news was he did the root canal and saved my tooth! The only minor pain were the injections. Everything else went smoothly. And the entire staff was so welcoming and attentive to my needs. My review is regarding the receptionists. I called there today to talk to them about getting a root canal and had a referral from my dentist. I gave them my info, my dental insurance info etc. The person I spoke to said that they were not in my insurance network and that my insurance would only cover 20% of the procedure. They gave me an estimate of $300 for a consultation and then $1,450.00 for the root canal. I wanted to go to them because their website said they offer sedation. I told them I may have to find a different endodontist that is in my network to save money. She said "looks like even if you go to an in network endodontist, they still only cover 20%". I said I would think about it and call back if I wanted to make an appointment. I then logged onto my insurance website and just went to look for in-network endodontist. Found one, called them, made the appointment and a short time later they called with an estimate after insurance - it was only going to be $478.00. I thought that was crazy because if, according to the receptionist, my insurance only covers 20% for both in-network and out of network, that is a huge price difference because Advanced Endodontic Therapy told me $1,450.00 after insurance. I then logged back onto my insurance website and looked over the coverage. My insurance covers 80% of root canals for in network and out of network! So I called this place back, told them the story and they looked up my info and she said "oh, it does look like they cover 80%". I asked if they could check with insurance and do an estimate and she said they don't do that. What?!!! If they don't do that, then why would the previous person I spoke to there tell me $1,450.00!?! I think the receptionists there are just there for a paycheck and could care less about their patients/potential patients! I am so disappointed because now I have to have a root canal from someone that doesn't provide sedation! I suggest that receptionists there need lessons on billing and insurance! read more

I was referred here by my dentist for a root canal. I received a call from someone in their office telling me that she reviewed my insurance benefits with my insurance company and that it does not provide endodontic care and that I needed to pay $1600 out of pocket for the service (my appointment was scheduled 2 days later). I told her that I would discuss it with my husband and call back in the morning because it was at the end of the business day. I was able to reach out to my insurance company who confirmed that I had great coverage including coverage for their office. I called the next morning as discussed to learn that the person cancelled my appointment! The mismanagement is frightening. The person on the phone stated it was likely miscommunication. I call it mismanagement. First you get the details of my appointment wrong then cancel my appointment for what was an urgent procedure. I'm so glad that I found another provider. read more

Called this place on a Friday morning after a week and a few days of tooth pain from fillings I had done by an incompetent dentist elsewhere and they were able to get me in the same day that I called. They had been running ahead of schedule by 2hours, so I got in to be seen at almost 1:45 and was done by 3:20. The office staff was insanely kind and professional. I walked in and it just smelt clean/well kept which is nice for a building that works specifically in peoples mouths. I filled out my paperwork, they got me in a chair, was assessed and then given options. THEY GAVE ME OPTIONS. I was not forced or coerced into doing anything but simply given options and possible outcomes of the choices that I could make. Dr.Kang and Nancy were amazing. They had soothing music playing everywhere and I felt borderline like I was at the spa. Once I decided I wanted to proceed with the suggested root canal, Nancy offered me sound proof headphones and an iPod to play music, a blanket, a complimentary chapstick, and a neck pillow. During the procedure (which seriously went so fast) I was able to let them know if I had any discomfort, like needing saliva suctioned out of my mouth, or a break from the jaw prop that they use in your mouth. They give you a little juice box when you're done and send over any files needed for your regular dentist to have if other services are still needing to be done. I still need to get a permanent filling and a crown. They followed up with me a week later to make sure everything is feeling okay. Could not recommend this place enough. They are not in my insurance network and I'd still consider coming back because it was such a pleasant experience for such a rough procedure. read more

Extremely caring staff, both genuine and professional. I had zero wait time from entering the office to leaving. ZERO pain for the whole procedure and after (And I chose Novacain only for retreatment). I have felt worse after having a cavity filled than I did after this complex dental procedure. Two other points that merit a mention. Dr. Fimple was knowledgeable, explained everything very well. He managed my expectations. I thought he communicated very well without going too far. Secondly, their equipment is clearly the newest technology. This is not like many dental offices who insist on using 10-15 yo equipment and methods. DO NOT GO TO Advanced Endodontic Therapy. Dr. Fimple performed a root canal on my tooth (#29) June 1st that resulted in terrible pain. I've been on antibiotics for 23 days and all I want is a follow-up appointment to figure out what's wrong. Instead, Advanced Endodontic Therapy took my money, performed a bad root canal that's made everyday eating hard, and refuses to see me again. There were multiple instances of negligence and horrendous services: 1. When I walked into the office with a toothache, I asked for an opinion on whether I need a root canal. They didn't even bother to x-ray my tooth until I insisted. The first assistant x-rayed the wrong area of my mouth and we had to do it a SECOND time! 2. When I arrived for my appointment, they made me pay up front but they won't know if they can do the root canal until they open the tooth to determine if it's cracked. I agreed that I don't want the root canal if my tooth is cracked. After opening my tooth, they told me that it's not cracked and they can perform the procedure. The actual procedure done by Dr. Fimple was fast and painless. They sent me on my way and told to get a crown with my family dentist. My tooth is still in pain and it's been 1.5 months. 3. The service and the staff, especially Darby, has been horrendous. I've had root canals before so I knew what to expect. After 1 week of pain, I called in the office and Darby, the assistant, told me to take more antibiotics. 2 weeks later, I'm still in pain and they told me to come on June 15th. One day before my appointment, Darby called and canceled the appointment. According to her "the root canal was successful and they do not need to check the tooth and I should go to a family dentist." I've called numerous times since and have been unsuccessful in getting a follow-up to look at my tooth and why it's in so much pain. The total charge for this was $975. I still can't eat anything on that side of my mouth and the tooth is still in pain...and they refuse to make a appointment to see me. read more

The individuals that work at this office are welcoming, kind and patient. The office is modern and very clean. Dr. Fimple explained everything to me and welcomed my questions. His assistant took the time to be gentle and accommodating when doing her work. I did not utilize any of the things on the comfort menu except delicious coffee, but they have warm blankets, noise cancelling head phones, soothing lip balm, chiropractic neck pillows, warm mango scented face washcloths and more! Am I at a spa or the endodontist? First time I've had to even consider the comparison! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! Good quality work to be sure but very bad service. They were supposed to install a permanent filling after the root canal but mistakenly put in a temporary one that had to be drilled out and replaced, their mistake but they charged me an extra $400.00 for it along with a 58$ mistake they made billing my insurance. When I got the bill, I called them and they said they would take care of it. A month later I got threatened with collection. Called them again, same person said they would take care of it, but I would have tp pay the $58. Fine I agreed, they never followed through so a month later they I called them again, they refused to let me speak to a manager and said this time I needed to pay the bill. I'm from Kansas and I was visiting family in Nebraska City. When my tooth started giving me pain I called several places in Omaha (a 50 minute drive away) with no luck, as there was a big conference going on. Advanced Endodontics set up an appointment for me immediately over the phone, and they treated my situation as an emergency. Service, treatment, and care--they were spectacular!
