Dr Blake saved the Day!!!! I was in Omaha at a work conference from California and my front tooth crown came off. I looked like a jack o lantern and was so embarrassed. I called late Wednesday evening and they made me an appointment for first thing Thursday morning at 8am. Unfortunately it wasn't an easy glue it back in situation instead Dr Blake had to find a solution for me and he did! He inserted a post and was able to get my crown back on. I was able to go back and give the presentation at my conference without having a missing front tooth! They took my California insurance and only charged me $80 out of pocket! I have been going to City View Dental for almost 10 years. I had to cancel a cleaning because I was sick in December and when I tried to reschedule, I did not get any communication back. I waited a few months and tried again and they told me my file had been marked inactive and needed approval to be a patient again. I also found out my primary dentist left the practice. I was never given any kind of communication about changes or any reason why my file had been marked inactive. It felt as though I was an annoyance to them at being asked to be seen. Needless to say, I found a friendlier dental practice that is more than happy to take me on as a new patient and fit me in. I loved the hygienists here but that is the only reason I gave 3 stars. read more

I can not say enough good about this office. I had a terrible experience with my primary dental office and repairing a broken tooth on my dentures. I called around and from the moment Chris (I think) answered the phone - he was kind, honest, empathetic and so helpful. They worked to get me in on an initial appointment to check my teeth that day and while they were honest that it might take a week, I got a call back the next day that they had them and we set up an appointment for the following day. I can not say enough about the doctor, his engagement and the care and respect they show. Finding a dentist has been a scary thing for me as my teeth have not been kind to me, but I think I have found a new office to start working with. read more

First off, everyone in the office is friendly and nice, but not the fake "I have to be nice to you" friendly/nice that you get at a lot of places. I've never had to wait past my appointment time to be seen. I have had a day where the doctor wasn't in the office when I was there for my cleaning and I had to come back for a follow up when he was. I WFH and can be flexible so it wasn't an issue. They are thorough in everything from cleaning/treatment to explaining billing details and payment options. When they have to do a referral out of the office they make sure your options the best possible. The staff also makes a point to remember personal things about you, which is a nice touch. It's possible fun facts are written in our files (which is a smart move) but regardless I respect the intent and effort. First visit they give your a goodie bag. Subsequent visits it's the usual floss, brush and some lip balm. My only real issue is that there's no free parking. If you're lucky, you get to pet puppies. The only real read more

I started coming here a few months back, first for cleanings/fillings, then for braces, specifically Invisalign. Staff seemed friendly enough, and the Dentist was also a likeable guy as well. Everything seemed to be going well, I had some pictures done on my teeth which costed around 200 dollars, and was told they would be in touch about the next steps, getting my trays, etc. Then, inexplicably, they never mentioned them again. I was contacted about future cleanings again by the receptionist, but they acted clueless about the braces, so for the 3rd time, I asked about the next steps on the Invisalign, and was told that they would "bring it to the attention of the Dentist, and get back to me". Never heard back from them again. You see, the 200 dollar pictures (taken with a phone) are conveniently only good for 60-90 days. They were fine with charging me for pictures, but then they either completely forgot about me, or didnt have the availability to even fit me in within that timeframe to get started. Either way, they were unprofessional, completely dropped the ball, and now Im out 200 bucks for useless phone pictures of my teeth. I'm a single Dad to three kids, so getting ripped off like that hurts that much more. Im paid an hourly wage, not salary, and I saved that money the hard way. I honestly would like a refund, or for them to transfer the pictures to a new dental provider who can handle the workload. Or just do the damn work you said you can do! I'm not going to go back until its made right, and I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone go there for ANYTHING braces related. Do better, City View! If you can't handle being an Invisalign/braces provider dont say that you can and take pictures to begin with! read more

I had orthodontics done by someone who was a specialist while a regular patient at City View Dental and the other specialist left town before I could get a retainer. I asked about getting a retainer with City View Dental. I received one and it didn't fit in my mouth right. I brought it back and asked if they'd send it back to the lab to get it fitted better. At that time I was informed I could use my last Invisalign tray as a retainer. I asked if they could send this retainer back to the lab and asked the receptionist as I left if I was going to get a refund and if she could just let me know. This was the first response I received from City View Dental (that my family and I have been dumped, but can continue to see them for a month from the date of the letter). I believe Dr. Polerecky is no longer with the office, as this was sent from David Schradd and he is not my primary dentist. I did cancel an appointment this winter due to inclement weather the same day. It was a day OPS was out of school. The letter and check is dated Feb. 4, but I just received it on March 1st. I've been punctual for most appointments except my first one. The amazing hygienist left the practice years ago, but I was generally otherwise happy with their services. read more

This was the closest dental office to my place that took my insurance so I went in for a routine check up and cleaning with no expectations. But I walked away very satisfied! While I'm personally not bothered much by dentist visits, my dental hygienist, Elisha, would probably be a good fit for someone who does. She was very kind and calming and took time to explain things without it being solicited. The dentist, Dr. Schrad, and office manager, Taylor, also added to the comfortable atmosphere. No extra bells and whistles per se, but very pleased. I had no hesitation scheduling my next checkup in six months. Thanks City View Dental! read more

I really like the staff at City View Dental. I'm the girl who has a panic attack while in the waiting room and almost starts crying when she sees the dental tools. But the staff here really put me at ease and helped me get over my fear of the dentist. I've been here twice, once for xrays and a cleaning and once for cavity fillings. I was really nervous about getting my cavities filled but the doctor gave me happy gas and it really calmed my nerves and made the process soooo simple. I recall seeing this place one semi hazy night after leaving Wilson and Washburn. I jotted it down and I feel that after that the universe knew my interest was piqued. Fast forward a few days- I got a mail ad for another dental office that was kind of far, and later that day a few coworkers were talking about issues with their teeth. I found the receipt that I jotted the name down on and Googled it. Next day I decided to call and spoke to this lovely lady who was incredibly nice. They were able to get me in fairly quickly which I was stoked about. Upon entering I was given a very warm greeting- not the usual medical office greeting. (Those can be so cold at times) After filling out my 1 page autobiography I was seen shortly. The dental assistant (I am horrible with names) was super nice and funny. After getting my x-rays completed the doctor came in. He was a bit quiet but concentrated on doing his thing, which I am okay with. I will say during my cleaning I weirdly got a case of the giggle fits. (I blame the fact that I watched that "horror" movie called the Dentist the night prior) I tried holding in the giggles but it came out. Both the doctor and the assistant were good sports about it, I actually got a slight chuckle out of the both of them. The lady working the desk set me up with my next cleaning and my next visit to get my chompers to 100%. She was knowledgable and was quick to give me round about figures for my next visit. At the end I was given this nice goodie bag which was a nice touch. From start to finish everything was quick and awesome. Had I been one of those nervous types about the dentist I think the staff would excel with the comfort level. The office was super clean and the lay out was neat. My teeth have never felt any cleaner. The doctor did a wonderful job. I (un)fortunately will be going back to get a few things taken care of...I am looking forward to it. read more

My experience at this dentist was horrible and through the years of hearing others experience with full teeth extraction I cant believe that the way mine was done is even possible.The dentist that did it at this place only gave me general injections to numb my mouth and believe me when have all your teeth taken out that does nothing to deaden the pain.I went into shock during the process and the reason I had to go through that hell was because I was on Medicade!! I'm sure if you have insurance maybe you wouldn't be through torture through the process but if your on assistants DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! read more

I went to City View with high hopes based on the reviews but was extremely disappointed. I suffer from extremely high anxiety when going to the dentist due to a horrible experience as a child. So much so that for the last number of years I have had to get sedated for even the simplest of visits. Of course that is pricey and fewer and fewer dentists are doing sedation. So I tried hypnosis. Then I thought that I could go to a dentist that I could walk to vs driving to the other end of town. City View had good reviews so I thought I would try them. I explained what I had been through. The staff was great and I was so excited that I could successfully wait in the waiting room and not tremble, hyperventilate and cry when in the chair. These seem like small things but for me it was huge!! The hypnosis appeared to work!! But then came Dr. Polerecky, DDS. HE WAS SO RUDE!! He didn't like it that I had been to multiple dentists. When you have the kind of fear I have felt with for the number of years that I have, you go through it all, from you're too afraid to the we no longer do sedation and everything in between. You would have thought he would be encouraging but he was far from it. I really hoped to find a dentist that I could stick with. Unfortunately it won't be with City View. read more
