At that former location, I always felt as if the provider was constantly trying to upsell products and services, and the conversations with them always seemed somewhat superficial and merely out of politeness. It's different at MiBoca, and especially with Tiffany O., an amazing RDH and genuinely good person. My doc (Hayes) is great, too, but it's the RDH who spends 30 minutes digging around in your mouth and with whom you get to know and love (hopefully). Aside from the approach to dentistry and customer relationships, the new facility on Pacific and 180th is very nice. Walking into a beautiful new facility just creates a better impression than some of the sketchy-looking practices elsewhere around town. Recommend!

I checked the billing and noticed a dental scan was not being covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield. At the time, the hygienist assured me all procedures would be covered my insurance. I called the billing department and was told my insurance rejected the panel scan as being unnecessary. They, of course would not waive the charge. I told them this business practice was unbecoming, unethical, and very misleading. I should have paid attention to the earlier Yelp review of a similar incident over a billing incident at this practice. I will NOT be returning back to this practice.

When I checked out I was told that my insurance would not cover any of the services I received or a new partial plate that had to be made and I had to pay $4000 up front!! The financial representative was quite rude and pushy. I told her that I would pay for services received that day and the rest when I received them but she said they needed the $ up front to pay the lab. I find it hard to believe that the practice had no operating expenses! I paid the $4000. Two months later, after contacting my insurance carrier, I found that the claim was filed incorrectly and some of the services I received were covered and I had been overcharged. I made several attempts to contact the financial representative at the office and she would not return my calls. When I finally reached her she told me that refund was being held for some insurance policy that I signed for on the new partial. That was the first time I was told that such agreement existed! After three months and my insurance payment made to the practice, I finally got the refund. When I picked up the check I requested paperwork on the work completed as well as my treatment plan. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this dental office due to the rudeness and inefficiency of this person on their their staff!

It seems like this clinic nickels and dimes. Their work isn't that great of quality, and they push…read moreunnecessary, or more expensive procedures. They twice told me I needed a crown instead of fillings. I got one of the crowns done, and then switched insurance to a very expensive one so on Jan 1st I'd be able to get the other one done. (They were not happy I wanted to wait a month and a half to get a crown). I saw a new dentist in January and he said I just needed a deep filling, and looked over my X-rays and said I never needed the first crown. They upsold me on a laser gum treatment and told me insurance would cover it.... It covered $40? I paid the remaining $150 out of pocket. I also got a bill from them 7 months post service saying insurance didn't cover something. When I looked at my insurance, it was denied for failure to submit the claim in a timely fashion. It took 3 phone calls before I finally said: "it looks like it was denied because it wasn't submitted by your staff on time, is that what you're seeing on your end" and magically the bill disappeared. Great personalities, terrible people, terrible treatment.

Unfortunately they were…read morenot careful in the removal process and I now have palladium/mercury poisoning and need to have chelation IV therapy to remove the heavy metals in my blood due to a chronic high platelet count. My platelet count was fine prior to my visit with Dr Hascall. My hematologist now wants to do a bone marrow biopsy to check for cancer. Stay far alway from this place for any removal of old fillings. Also, Dr Hascall seemed to be more concerned if I was fully vaxxed, which was none of his business.

I actually had to have a family member take me to my first appointment to make sure I wouldn't turn around and go home once reaching the parking lot. I was literally shaking with fear as I entered the office for the first time! Within 5 minutes of my first appointment, Dr. Kocian had put me completely at ease. He has a wonderful mannerism - he clearly explains what needs to be done and why, and checks with you frequently to make sure you are comfortable during any procedure. More importantly, he stressed if I was ever uncomfortable, I could just raise my hand and we would stop and figure things out to make sure I was comfortable!! This feeling of having control over my treatment quickly washed away years of anxiety and fear - and I now actually look forward to my visits!! It's not only Dr. Kocian that makes this practice so great - the rest of the staff is amazing!! They are all very professional, kind, caring, and help to put you completely at ease!! It feels more like I am going to hang out with friends for an hour or so than like I am going to the dentist! I would absolutely recommend this practice to ANYONE!! Dr. Kang was honest explaining that the tooth might be saved by the root canal but it also might not and I would need an extraction. Good news was he did the root canal and saved my tooth! The only minor pain were the injections. Everything else went smoothly. And the entire staff was so welcoming and attentive to my needs. If you need an Endodontist I highly recommend this practice.

My review is regarding the receptionists. I called there today to talk to them about getting a…read moreroot canal and had a referral from my dentist. I gave them my info, my dental insurance info etc. The person I spoke to said that they were not in my insurance network and that my insurance would only cover 20% of the procedure. They gave me an estimate of $300 for a consultation and then $1,450.00 for the root canal. I wanted to go to them because their website said they offer sedation. I told them I may have to find a different endodontist that is in my network to save money. She said "looks like even if you go to an in network endodontist, they still only cover 20%". I said I would think about it and call back if I wanted to make an appointment. I then logged onto my insurance website and just went to look for in-network endodontist. Found one, called them, made the appointment and a short time later they called with an estimate after insurance - it was only going to be $478.00. I thought that was crazy because if, according to the receptionist, my insurance only covers 20% for both in-network and out of network, that is a huge price difference because Advanced Endodontic Therapy told me $1,450.00 after insurance. I then logged back onto my insurance website and looked over the coverage. My insurance covers 80% of root canals for in network and out of network! So I called this place back, told them the story and they looked up my info and she said "oh, it does look like they cover 80%". I asked if they could check with insurance and do an estimate and she said they don't do that. What?!!! If they don't do that, then why would the previous person I spoke to there tell me $1,450.00!?! I think the receptionists there are just there for a paycheck and could care less about their patients/potential patients! I am so disappointed because now I have to have a root canal from someone that doesn't provide sedation! I suggest that receptionists there need lessons on billing and insurance!
