I asked for a supervisor he attempted to argue. I had high hopes for 84 lumber, hopefully things can be resolved. I'll give an update after supervisor conversation. Update: 7/6/2026 No supervisor reached out as I requested to discuss Paul's deplorable customer service. I'll reach out to the company to speak to someone. I'll provide an update after I'm able to have a conversation. Update: 7/14/26 @ 9:31 am Responded to 84 Lumber customer relations outreach regarding my review via email. Update: 7/14/26 @ 9:41 am Called 84 Lumber to speak to supervisor since no one reached out to me. Spoke with Gordon, 84 Lumber Naperville supervisor. He expressed his irritation at the fact I made a negative review. We were able to discuss the issues that occurred with Paul. He defended Paul; stating various excuses for Paul actions toward me. Gordon stated that he didn't want to do business with anyone that made negative post about the company, regardless if the statements were true. He stated I would have to remove the post if I wanted my order delivered; pure extortion and bullying behavior. I complied in good faith to get my delivery and end my business with 84 lumber because I paid for my order in full. I took down the review and then Gordon refused to fulfill my order. Conclusion: Gordon allowed his emotions/feelings of a customer making a review of their actual experience with the company get in the way of business. Gordon's behavior was unprofessional and he used intimidation/ retaliation tactics because he didn't like my review. I received a refund. Reposted my experience for other consumers to make an informed decision about where they do business.

Horrible Lumber. Stored outside open to all elements. I went there to look at lumber because I…read moreneeded 2x8" Douglas Fir. They had it in stock. Looked at their common 2x6 boards, needed about 50 of them. 50% of the lumber was marred, split, chipped or had mold. The pile of Douglas Fir was frozen solid under 2" of ice. Went to Menards and all their lumber is stored inside, 90% of the boards are totally clean. Delivery is top-notch and lumber is well protected in it. I am still waiting for a deliver of the Douglas Fir from 84 Lumber and have no idea of when they will, or if they will show up. Forget about asking for a delivery schedule or window. The staff at 84 are wonderful, that is only reason for two stars instead of one.

You can call them any time if you need help. They are free. When I came here I bought everything I need. I also bought 3 pieces of plant in a vase. It was so cute and its perfect to put in our tables on dining area and in our living room. The price of it was depends on the plant you purchased. Some staff help me to put it in my car. Connor was incredibly helpful and patient with me. He works with my contractor so the ordering was seamless. He knew dimensions and just how much of everything to order. If there is too much, I can return, no hassles. The product came delivered to my house and I can hardly wait for the it all to be installed. I've ordered from there in the past for my kitchen and I would recommend them to anyone. Connor is the best and very knowledgeable. It's a beautiful place--the way all their landscaping is set up. Too bad the parking is not. Montgomery has the better parking lot, but not as many veggies. Try to visit during an off hour, while people are working, so you don't have an issues. It's very difficult to leave without something you don't need, so keep that in mind :)
