I signed up for the Family Plan with Leslie after the plan was explained to me by Alondra on June 16th. She did a great job explaining cost comparison between normal fees as well as the family plan. Explained there was a special going on as well. I immediately signed up and one of the perks was inspections for plumbing and electric. Booked right away for both of these to be done on June 26, 2026. Daniel, electric inspection took place the morning of the 26th and I was constantly texted for time arrival 30 minutes before they would be at my door. Daniel did a full inspection of the electrical panel and explained everything was in working order. He then covered other simple things such as my smoke detector should be replaced due to outdated. He also brought up about the water heater and furnace needing to be bonded (I believe that is the word used). I had also mentioned I was interested in having a battery back up on sump pump to be installed. Mentioned about the water heater too. He provided a copy of the system check report and form. He called a manager to see when a technician could come regarding the water heater and left a message and the manager called back before he left my residence with an appointment set. Later that day Joe the plumber came to inspect the plumbing inspection. Joe also did a great job checking the sump pumps, water values, anything pertaining to plumbing. He was very knowledgeable and if needed he explained things to me because everything was new experience to me. He was aware that I was interested in a battery back up system because I flooded a bit last year and this was the year to get it. The cost was reasonable and we set up for installation the following Monday. I wrote a review on Google under Leslie. The following week I had Noe Mendez come out to do a water heater flush. I didn't know much information but I knew the unit was 8 years old and we never flushed it however I knew you should flush or draw the unit so it works longer getting sediment out. Unfortunately Noe indicated to me that you should flush/drain from the beginning of purchase (the following year) as any sediment in the tank currently could cause some possible damage and leakage. With all his information I decided I wouldn't have the water heater flushed/drain because it was not a good idea. I figured I'd write this review all in one because the site Leslie heating cooling plumbing and electric site would not allow me to write a new review. All the technicians were courteous, knowledge, helpful in giving any information on how to care for my units to have a working house. They were on time as well. I requested a plumbing service as I had slower tub drainage. Although the first day the technician wasn't able to make it he did show early the next day. He was quick, knowledgeable, and it was an easy fix. Removing the screen that was in the drain. It was filled with scum and residue. I'm extremely grateful for this easy fix as plumbing issues can cost a lot of money. I paid 63.00 for my service which I thought would require more camera down the drain or rodding. I would try their services again if needed. read more

Brand new AC installed less than a month ago. Not working. Supposedly 24/7 service but they have some AI agent on the phone. When you try to connect to a human, it just rings and rings until you're connected back to AI. Glad we sunk $12k into a new HVAC system and the ridiculous membership to not have service. UPDATE: we finally got a technician out and they discovered the real issue- the Leslie employee who surveyed our systems and quoted the units selected one that was too small for our size house. So now, Leslie has to come back and reinstall the entire system. Huge error on their part and huge headache on ours. Would not recommend. read more

I called and asked specifically for an electrician to come out for a breaker that popped. I was asked what I thought was wrong, I said probably the sump pump, but I told them I wanted to be clear, I don't know and I need an electrician. Two days later they send out a plumber. Then they tell me they don't have an electrician until next week. The people were plenty nice but they did nothing to resolve this issue other than to tell me too bad and wait for us to get to you. I guess their other Customers are more important. I would recommend going some place else or you might get the same treathment. read more

I have a yearly maintenance coverage policy so Jim Hamilton answered the call. I have had him before. That's the one thing that nice about Leslie, you can ask for the same technician if you are happy with his services. Jim Hamilton is great and I always ask for him. Lelie sent out Chris F. who spent a couple of hours working with me to recreate the problem and work toward a final solution. He was tossed into the fire and came out shining in my mind. Use them for an annual check up . They cancelled and rescheduled 4 times . Looks Like they use this service to get additional revenue when their technicians have no other work . Anyways the person came and turned off the heating during the inspection and did not turn it on . I spent the night without heat and then when I called them the next day they kept saying they will schedule someone but no one came . Fed up and concerned about little kids I got another contractor to review ( was concerned turning it on my self to ensure there was no mishap - to be clear I am not very technically handsy) I will never recommend them read more

I used this company for years and trusted them. BIG mistake. Hired them to repair a short in septic system aerator. They told me it needed a whole new set of wiring, including digging out the old wires, to the tune of $1400. I trusted it needed to be done. Afterwards, septic people looked and said the only thing done was to splice the old wire and probation all of 15 minutes. I contacted the company by phone and email, no response. They were happy to keep a lot of money for no work. Never again and I would advise anyone to learn from my experience and stay away. In response to the business manager's comment below, she is misinterpreting the issue: they charged me $1400, which I paid, for a complete overhaul and only did the splice. In short, they lied about the work needed and didn't do what they charged me for. I did reach out more than once to discuss with the business and had no response. Don't lie here as well: your family owned business is a rip off. read more

I work for an Autism Therapy clinic in town and we were having issues with our thermostat/cooling. I called to make a same day appointment to which they said that they could help. They sent out a text when the technician was 30 minutes away, but an hour passed and still no technician. After about an hour and ten minutes I texted in asking if the tech would be there soon. After about an hour and a half the technician shows up, smelling HEAVILY of marijuana and cigarette smoke. Mind you I work the front desk and greet parents/children walking in, so they could have walked in and smelled it. As we walked around the center to identify the issue, the whole clinic started to smell of smoke and marijuana. The technician barely spoke to me about what the issue could be. After I gave him access to the roof, he informed me that there was really nothing wrong and that he would be going back to quickly close the roof and access spots. I waited about 30 more minutes for him to come back, but as I run 2 centers, I had to leave. When he FINALLY came back, our Regional Director of Illinois who was still here at the time signed off on the receipt. She asked a few questions and then signed her name. Upon signing her name the tech was questioning her- "Is that REALLY your signature? Were not going to use it to sign anything else", questioning her. Our director was taken aback as she had no issue singing the document. She had just asked a few questions to make sure the charges were correct. After all of this I sent a message to their email/customer service to which they got back to me within an hour after sending it. The call center manager, Brian, called me back to let me know how sorry he was about this experience. After finishing our conversation, he let me know that if we needed them to come out any other time, that they would send a different technician, and give us a complementary service to make up for our terrible first experience. After about a day, I emailed the same customer service email explaining that we had just talked and asked for that claim to be stated in writing so that we could go back on it and use them if necessary. I did not receive a response back at all, which was strange as they got back to me very fast the initial time I reached out. This is HIGHLY disappointing as I see their trucks everywhere in the area and decided to give them a try. I will not be using this company again and do not recommend them to anyone in the area due to unprofessionalism. If you want terrible customer service and technicians smelling up your house of different substances than this is the company for you! read more

The tried to rip us off today. We needed some R22 added to our system. They quoted $980 a pound for the R22 and a total of $2306 to perofrm the service. I kicked them out and called another company. The repair was completed for under $400. This company is dishonest and is trying to take advantage of people. The tech let slip that they are on comission. No wonder the scum bag behavior. read more

Giving 5 stars for Eric Chaney HVAC tech. Leslie's overall had some issues, please read entire review.... So... we had a first tech come out and replace our circuit board. Gentleman was friendly but didn't seem that knowledgeable. It took him six hours to replace the board. Our smart thermostat shorted out whIke he replaced circut board. Stated thermostat was covered under warranty and they were supposed to follow up to replace, never did. I called Leslie's a month later and first tech was no longer with the company. They sent Eric Chaney out and he was great! On time, worked quickly and replaced the thermostat. He was tolerant of the dog and covered his shoe. Adequately explained the new thermostat to me. Provided Leslie's does not charge me for something they stated was to be done under the warranty, I'm overall satisfied with the work and will leave review as is. read more

Not great. The tech said he'd never seen a unit our age. The phone rep confirmed the age of our unit when setting the appointment but sent an inexperienced technician, unable to advise on repairs for our 20 year old AC compressor. Replacement was $11,000-15,000 for parts we didn't require with a standard installation being pushed as premium. Again, zero recommendations on repairs. Family friend's neighbor (HVAC guy) had the part (usually around $1800 for free!). We'll install a new unit down the road for $4500-5900. Moral of the story. Get more than 1 quote because these folks will rob you blind. read more

I would NOT recommend based on their business practices. I need soffit vents replaced and they came up as a top search on google for my area. They were scheduled the following week after contacting them to come look at my issue and give me a quote, they cancelled on me the day of after I called them to see where they were. I reluctantly scheduled them the following week and now they just cancelled on me once again, DAY OF! This time they also told me they couldn't even come look at my issue and give me a quote for another month! No thanks! Leslie can guarantee one thing, that their drivers will be the most reckless on the road on any given day. Every single time I see one of their vans it stands out because they are weaving in and out of traffic and driving at excessive speeds. Weather Expressway's or side streets you can count on them for driving above the speed limit, failing to signal and recklessly cutting people off. STAY AWAY You lie. We feel like you're car salesmen. You say what we want to hear, but don't deliver. The repair man came out on a Thursday and tells us they can fix it at an inflated price, but it's not going to necessarily last. Come winter the furnace is going to need to be replaced anyway. It would be better to replace the AC and the furnace. He says that there should no problem in getting a new system installed by Monday. So he arranges to send out the salesman the next day (Friday) Your salesman sells us on a new furnace and AC. He says they can do a quick install. Then calls the boss on speaker and he puts it off a few more days. He says they can install it on Wednesday. Then the day before it is to be installed it is put off a few more days. We feel we are paying a premium price and definitely not getting premium service. They finally come on Friday, which is a week after they initially came and installed the new furnace and air conditioner. They get it running, but they can't complete the job because some part is wrong or broke and they will have to come back to complete the job. Whatever your excuse was you said you should be back the next day to finish the job, it took more than 10 days to get someone to come back. We made multiple calls, to the number you gave us to get it scheduled. When we called, the calls wouldn't go through on that number. You also sold us on this fancy thermostat which is supposed to work so you can adjust it by Wi-Fi. What you didn't tell us is that we have to buy something additional from our Internet company in order to get it to work with the wifi. So, it only works like any cheap thermostat would. We paid all the extra money for this fancy thermostat that is useless unless we want to spend more money. OUR SUGGESTION IS NO ONE SHOULD USE YOUR COMPANY! read more

I was a customer of Leslie Heating and Cooling for over a decade for my Spring and Fall HVAC checks. This spring, Dave V. of Leslie told me I had a leak in my A/C unit and I needed a complete system replacement. Dave V. set up an appointment for me to meet with Trevor W. of Leslie for a quote for a new system. Trevor quoted $18,000 for a new system for my 1,300 square foot ranch house. Trevor could not give me any specific information about the equipment he was quoting such as the brand, whether it is high efficiency, one-stage or two-stage, etc. He would not leave a written quote and said that they would email it to me, which I have not received yet 4 days later. I got a second opinion on my system from Josh Randolph of J.J.R. Heating and Cooling. Josh did a complete system check and determined that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my 11-year-old HVAC system that Leslie Heating and Cooling condemned. I'm so glad I got a second opinion and did not trust Leslie. And will never again trust Leslie. Ever. I'll be calling Josh for my HVAC needs moving forward. read more

I live on the 3rd floor in a condo. I called Leslie b/c our a/c went out over the 4th of July holiday weekend. During the call, I told the person the type of unit we have (MagicPak), and that we live in a condo (3rd floor). The person proceeded to say they can help with this and scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival, the tech was here a max of 15 minutes. He looked at it and said it can't be serviced b/c they can't access it, given it's not on ground level, so he couldn't get to the outside/front side of it. He did nothing but rather chalked it up to our needing an entirely new unit (which he was ready to get someone ready to call me, so they could sell me a new multi-thousand dollar unit). Not knowing any better, I had to pay. After speaking to other people, they encouraged me to call CR Mechanical, a different company, and after asking them over the phone if they service MagicPak's in a 3rd floor condo, they came out and FULLY INSPECTED AND SERVICED my HVAC unit. They were fully capable of inspecting/servicing the unit from the inside. It's on a track and it just needed to be pulled out from the inside so the back end (the outside side) was exposed and could therefore be inspected from the inside. The tech from CR Mechanical was FANTASTIC; he was completely knowledgable about this type of HVAC unit. I will use this company ever time. Don't go w/ Leslie - they claimed they could service my unit but they clearly didn't know a thing about it, yet I was still charged for the visit. A waste of $$. read more

Unbelievable is all I will say...looking to get a quote for a pool heater install. I should have known something was up when it took 3 days and 3 calls to set up and appointment for a new pool heater install. They kept saying they were going to send out a service team. (Nothing to Service looking for a quote for a pool that's not even in the ground yet). Like I said 3 more calls later set up an appointment for a quote. Guy that came out was on time and all but after being at my house a total of 20 min, 15 min in his car they tried to charge me $166 for a quote. After years of using another HVAC company, we ended up getting a better price from Leslie Heating & Cooling on a new furnace. I have no complaints on their install. They did a very complete and nice job on the new furnace. I signed up for their $16.00 a month maintenance plan. I asked repeatedly from the Leslie Sales Rep to send additional information on what exact services their yearly service plan covered and what it didn't cover. They never provided after repeated requests. I was definitely the stupid consumer for signing up without understanding what it consisted of. So shame on me. Fast forward to the first visit when they came to do a yearly checkup on my condenser, the technician said it was dirty and to clean it would be EXTRA. I found this strange because my other company never charged to clean. We own other properties out of state, and those HVAC companies also don't charge extra for routine maintenance. Fast forward to this last month, Leslie came out to do the yearly service on my furnaces and recommendation over $500 of additional services. One of the recommendations would have been covered by my Lennox warranty but the technician made no observation of that. I shouldn't have to remind him of that. It's clear their technicians have a commission based salary and it shows. I've decided to switch back to my old service company that isn't commission based whom did routine furnace cleaning, condenser cleaning, made adjustments to equipments, and recognized warranty work all within their standard yearly service plan. When and if I have a serious problem, I want to trust my technician and not believe that they only have dollar signs on their mind and are looking to up sell. read more
