This company installed solar panels on our home in August 2023 and that went fairly smoothly. The main issue is the very poor customer service we have received since then. One of our installed panels is clearly producing less than half the normal production starting back in late Oct 2023. The installation team came back to test the panel in Nov/Dec 2023 and confirmed it was faulty. At the request of the owner, Jason, I contacted Maria at the office to arrange for a replacement. in early January 2024. We are now approaching June 2024 and I have yet to see any progress. I have contacted Maria multiple times via email with same unhelpful response of working on it. I have been more than patient as we are approaching well over 6 months since I contacted this company about this issue. I finally even contacted the manufacturer of the panel for help but they told me I have to contact the installer. So at this point I'm stuck. Overall I think this company means well but the execution seems to be very poor and they seem to take on more projects they can really handle. This company is dishonest, untruthful and simply doesn't care about their customers. Maria the front desk clerk is so incredibly rude and unprofessional. I requested for her manager Athena to call me back and Athena never returned my call I had to call the office multiple times for a week before I could speak with Athena and after explaining my concerns it was obvious that Athena didn't care. 2015 I purchased solar panels for my home I paid $32,264.00 CASH I was told that Advanced Improvements would be sending me out a welcome package (never received). When I attempted to call and speak with the rep who sold me the solar panels I was told that he had passed. Out of respect I decided to not call back. I left a message to please call me but again I never received a call. I called in August 2022 because I wanted to have my panels checked to make sure that they are working properly and maybe add a few more panels if needed. I finally got someone to come last week and guess what the visit alone was $150 I was told that the ENPHASE INVERTER was not communicating with the solar panels therefore they could not provide me with the health of the panels. The technician that came out also shared with me that most if not all of the ENPHASE INVERTERS had a history of malfunctioning and that they have had to replace several of these. At first I wasn't really worried because my contract clearly states " 25 YEAR MANUFACTURES WARRANTY ON PARTS AND 25 YEAR WARRANTY ON LABOR" According to Athena (office manager) I am responsible to pay a sum of close to $700 to replace this ENPHASE INVERTER and have it installed. THIS IS CRAZY I also asked Athena to please have the owner call me back but I don't believe that she cares enough to forward my message. They are coming out next Friday to replace the ENPHASE INVERTER i will keep you guys posted. read more

Thank You Yelp Reviewers for leading us to Advanced Improvements! I was looking for a company to upgrade our Solar system. We had received an email from Enphase, the manufacturer of our solar panels, offering us a discounted rate to replace our 8 yr old solar panels with their latest model. As we did not want to use the same company that originally installed the panels, we were looking for a company that would work on a solar system installed by another company. I called Advanced Improvements and spoke with Anthony who assured us that was not a problem. Anthony looked at our panels and told us we should keep the panels we have as they are the best on the market! We then asked him about adding a few more panels to the system to completely wipe out our monthly electric bill. He assured us that was possible but suggested we try some simple conservation measures first to determine if more panels are actually needed and if so, how many. We agreed to wait 4-6 weeks and see if we could reduce the amount of electricity we use. We were so impressed with Anthony! He didn't try to sell us something we may not need and even talked us into waiting and trying his suggestions on saving power before deciding on adding solar panels! How often do you find a Sales Rep who puts the customer's needs ahead of company profit like that??? Since Advanced Improvements specializes in HVAC systems, we asked Anthony about replacing our furnace and AC unit. He was able to write us up a quote that was reasonable and we decided to have Advanced Improvements replace our HVAC before the heat of summer. Joe and another man (I'm sorry but I forget his name) were at our home bright and early this past Wednesday and quickly got to work removing our old furnace and AC unit. Since these units were original with the house from 1974, they were quite old! It didn't take long to remove the old units but there was a problem when it came to taking the new Bryant AC unit to our backyard! It was a bit wider than the gate to the backyard and the garage door into our house. Fortunately, they were able to squeeze it through our front door! They were so careful to not scratch the paint or the unit!! And afterwards, swept up the minor dirt both inside and outside, even in the driveway! I was so impressed with how thoughtful they were throughout the installation. The entire installation of the furnace and the AC unit took one full day and two hours on the second day. Joe explained that they typically finish in one day, as they would have two technicians on a job like this. But, the other technician was sick so he was doing both hookups himself and would need two days. We now have a brand spanking new HVAC system, along with a Honeywell P6 Thermostat that we can control with our phones and through Alexa! And, since the thermostat is a smart device, we are eligible for a $75 rebate on it! We are very happy with the service we received from Anthony, Joe and the team at Advanced Improvements! It was quick and professional, delivered in a friendly and efficient way! Anthony has been great throughout this entire process! He gave me his cell phone number and responds to texts very quickly, even on weekends! I would not hesitate to recommend Anthony and Advanced Improvements to our friends and family! In fact, I already have! By the way, we have already saved money using Anthony's suggestions for energy conservation! We will only have to add half of the number of panels we originally thought! It's been almost 18 months since Advanced Improvements installed our new roof, 9+kWh solar array, and 4T HVAC system. This review is long overdue... Project was competitively priced, completed professionally & on-time, minor issues were addressed courteously and quickly, and everyone was a pleasure to work with. Very, very happy with the results! Roof looks great and have had zero issues thru several heavy rainstorms. Ridge vent keeps the house cooler. Solar is on-track to pay for itself in a few years. HVAC cools/warms the house so much better than the old system and uses less energy. Especially glad we decided to relocate the furnace & blower to the attic, freeing up the old closet as a pantry. Had our solar panels installed over 6 years now. Installation and panel quality were great. However, cannot say the same for their customer services every time called in to request service. Most recently, technician cancelled for health related issues an hour before scheduled appointment on day of service. Understandably in current climate, but they never followed up that they said they would to reschedule. A week past, I had to call again. Representative Maria doesn't recall our conversation, so we're back to square one. She said soonest availability is another week to get any one out. Good luck getting your panels serviced through their custom service because you'll be needing them throughout the entire lifetime of the panels AFTER installation should you feel comfortable at the mercy of their whim. read more

I reached out to no less than 10 companies on Yelp with 4.5 star ratings and up and Anthony was the only one who responded to my list of questions thoroughly and quickly. I have wanted solar panels for many years so in preparation for this project I assembled a list of the most important questions that I wanted addressed from an installer and was shocked that every other company I contacted purposefully avoided providing clear answers. All I got was a "give us your phone number and we'll call to schedule a consultation." I am a busy woman, Yelp people! Ain't nobody got time for that. SOLAR: With so many solar companies out now and horror stories of people getting ripped off I was skeptical of who to go with. Was referred to Advanced Improvements by a friend who had solar installed by them. I spoke to Jason about my electric bill which is typically $300-$600 a month winter/summer. He seemed very truthful and told me about every solar option I could go with. It seemed informational rather than a sales pitch. He wasn't trying to steer me into only one option as all the others do. They also had great financing options if needed. Had a new split unit installed one year ago. Had problems from day one, they came out twice to repair. Winter came and had no reason for air, heating worked fine. When summer came this year turned on air, did not work. Called installer and they were out of business. Called another company, maintenance person came out had it working, lasted a couple of weeks. First of all, I got quotes from all The larger big box solar company's and decided I wanted to use a local company with solid reviews from there clients. So I had them come out and there process was a lot more efficient then the larger stores. Well after signing and approving everything, my solar was up and running after a week! 51 panel system and top Of the notch product ( LG panel). I recently purchased a tesla and now have free gas!! With the rain this weekend, we were able to see where the leak is coming from, lots of water pouring down our master bedroom. We gave this company the opportunity to help us and fix the leak. I don't understand why would they install a solar system if the paper was not in good shape, however the paper is not the reason for the leak. I am supposed to have a twenty year warranty on installation, it's only been over three years since they installed the panels. I am no expert in roofs but they are. Very sad that I have to go through this, our home is very important to us but obviously not to Advanced Improvements. Very happy with the work done on my house with Advanced Improvements. After getting almost a dozen quotes from various contractors and companies we ultimately went with AI for our new roof, revised HVAC system, and new solar system. These guys are some of the nicest people you'll meet, and never pressured us like some of the other companies did. They even did some free work in relocating an HVAC register that wasn't properly ventilating a bedroom a few months after our contract finished. Oh and they helped me run some internet and cable lines while they were running the HVAC ducts and electrical cables which was a huge help. We had new air conditioner and furnace installed along with a ductless a/c with heat pump. Both systems work great. The installation went great, all the technicians were very professional and competent. What impressed me most was if they had any questions they would ask Joe the supervisor for help to make sure the install is proper. I initially went to them for a tankless water heater and they installed it flawlessly. After awhile I had some issues and they came out and found that the water heater needed some work, which they completed under warranty. At that time they suggested a filtration system because of the water in my community, which I had them install. Two years after the filter install, we were having the same issue of calcium in the water and they without any issue came out and added a water softener to my system. When Joe was doing the install he did above and beyond to make us happy. I can not say enough about the professionalism and customer service of Advanced. During the recent rainstorm I had a leak in my living room ceiling. Jason came out the following Monday and discovered the problem immediately. My roof fan had blown off and the rain was coming in through the hole! While on the roof, he did an inspection and found that I did not need any repairs. He replaced the fan, screwed it down and did not charge me! I can't tell you how much I appreciated his honesty. He said my roof should not need any repairs for at least another 5 years. I am a very picky customer and searched various solar panel vendors. Advanced Improvement was the best price, but more than that, they were the most informative with excellent customer service. They installed LG panels with free monitoring. They took care of all the forms and submission required with the city. We used the HERO program to finance the panels, which is much better than leasing (PLEASE, if you are reading this, look more into HERO program). Advanced Improvements installed our solar system about 5 years ago. We love having solar and have had tremendous savings so far. The monitoring also works great with an app that can be installed on a cell phone. The reason I am writing this review today (5 years later) is because we are again working with Advanced Improvements. Our roof has had extensive damage that was discovered during the latest rain. (The damage is not in any way related to the solar and is just normal wear and tear). Thankfully Advanced Improvements is a reputable company that has stood the test of time and is still around. A representative came over the next day and assessed the roof damage. They will be taking off panels from the affected area, fixing the roof and reinstalling the panels with all warranties staying intact. I am thankful that we chose this company to install our system.
