I know it's just another 5 star review, but it's well deserved. We signed a contract with Aikyum on May 21st. The biggest obstacle was getting HOA approval (3 weeks). Solar and battery installed on June 19th, final inspection July 6th, PTO July 7th. That's 47 days, and 21 of them were lost to bureaucracy. Really professional group from top to bottom. Very competitive price, first rate equipment, and they only broke one roof tile. I used Aikyum Solar to install my solar panels (with the Tesla Powerwall Battery backup), and I give them 5 stars and highly recommend. I am extremely happy with their service. They were very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and honest from Day 1. The customer service is top notch and the price is very reasonable. I received quotes from 10 different providers. Most of the other providers were very "salesy" and would say anything to get the sale (and were not the installers themselves). At Aikyum, I spoke with Harina (the owner), who was extremely knowledgeable and was able to clearly tell me what I could and could not do. The installation process was fairly quick and easy. I have spoken to many friends and neighbors who have used other service providers, and they have nightmare stories about how long it took to get solar installed. With Aikyum, I got solar installed in about 5 weeks after signing the contract, the person from Edison installed the connecting collar the following week, and the inspection incurred the week after. I had everything completed in less than two months (including inspection and approvals), whereas most providers take 3-6 months. In addition, the installers did a great job of installing the system in a clean manner with minimal pipes. If it were not for the batteries themselves, you can barely tell that we had solar installed. The Tesla powerwall battery backup system is awesome. You can control it with the Tesla app and choose your settings on whether you want to have the lowest electric bill or maximize your backup (or anywhere in the middle). The app maximizes when to charge the battery or sell back to the grid based on your electric company's rate plan (it does all of the work for you!). I highly recommend getting solar with the Tesla battery backup, and I definitely believe that Aikyum is one of the best in the business! read more

Aikyum installed a 9.45kW system (REC PureRX) with 2 Powerwall 3s at our new house. The entire process from quote, permitting, to installation was smooth and efficient. We even ended up redoing our entire roof with their roofer since it only had about 7-8 years left before needing replacement. The price was very fair as well. The system ended being in the low-mid $2/kW range. Harina was very easy to communicate with throughout. There was a supply issue with the original REC 460W panels we ordered (fire at REC factory affecting production) about a week before installation and Harina was quick to arrange a replacement with REC 450W panels to ensure installation wasn't delayed. We got an extra free panel because of the last minute change so our system ended up being 9.45kW instead of 9.2kW. So far everything from the panels and batteries to the roof have held up well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Aikyum Solar to my friends and family. read more

After a detailed evaluation of 8 companies including Tesla Solar, I created a shortlist of 3 companies based on equivalent system proposals and selected Aikyum for this project. For work and home projects, eliminating the high and low bids and focusing on the middle bids has always worked well for me, and I am very happy I went with Aikyum. This is a vendor who met EVERY promise, completed EVERY deliverable, and did NOT throw in any surprises or change orders to increase the project cost. I feel this is due to the extra time they took to properly research my project before submitting their proposal as well as the experience they have throughout OC with local codes and requirements. Aikyum has a no-nonsense and technical business approach which I appreciated. They accommodated my specific technical requirements with proper solutions, unlike Tesla Solar with their "take it or leave it" approach. The timing for my 32 panel, 2 Powerwall 3 project went faster than expected: July 9: Rooftop panels and garage batteries installation substantially completed. July 14: Final electrical connections to Powerwall 3's completed. July 17: SCE replaced meter and installed backup switch, allowing personal electrical generation and storage use of the system. Aug 8: City Inspector final approval. Aug 12: SCE permission to operate, allowing full use including export. On-site installation crew including Chris, RJ, and their support techs were all courteous and professional. Harina did a great job on the front end handling my system requirements and overall project management; from proposal, HOA submittal package, permits, to managing the execution of the installation as well as handling everything with SCE. From my perspective it truly could not have been a better orchestrated (and thus easier) project for me, and therefore I give Aikyum my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. The only area of improvement could be if they provided a better graphical representation such as a project schedule including all milestones. Just wanted to drop a quick review for Harina and Aikyum Solar. I initially installed my array in a few years ago, then upgraded the system before NEM3 kicked in. From the beginning Harina and her team at Aikyum have been nothing less than phenomenal with their customer service and work. She personally answers a lot my questions and takes personal interest and feedback before, during, AND after my installations. For example, after the initial installation, I had noticed that my panels were maxing out the microinverters, during peak sunlight. Although this was something I had agreed to before the installation, she was great in working with me to get them switched out to a higher model which had ample headroom. A few other minor issues were also taken care of in a very timely manner. I also requested their roofing service to redo the underlayment for the roof tiles as well as installation of a new main service panel, EV charging port, and a subpanel for the garage. Permits and installation were done in the appropriate time frame and without delay. Inspection was a breeze and my system was up and running with SCE in no time. Cost wise, it was very fair, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. What really set them apart though was their customer service. Again, I can't say enough about how great my experience was with Aikyum. As a matter of fact, I've referred 4 other households who have since used their service, including my parents. Love my solar array and so glad I made the jump. I can't recommend them enough. read more

In the spring of 2021, I thought it was time to buy an electric car. About the same time, Aikyum gave a presentation to our homeowners association about the advantages and costs of solar panel installation. I was extremely impressed with the presentation and decided to go with them. Right off the bat I knew I made a good decision because they did all the paperwork with the homeowners association and with Southern California Edison. The first 12 solar panels that we ordered were installed in August 2011, including an upgrade of our breaker panel and a 240V EV receptacle. Installation was timely and efficient. The cost was very reasonable, and I liked that Aikyum provided 3 choices of panels with slightly different costs and performances specs. The roof work and installation was quick and efficient. We have been so happy with the output that we subsequently added 10 more panels and are now producing about 12 MWh per year and have a net negative electric bill even with charging our EV exclusively at home. I estimate the SCE savings, plus no need to buy gasoline, is saving us over $2,000 per year, and has increased the resale value of our home.
