They NEVER answer the phone. They ask you to leave a call back number and they NEVER call you back.

Dr. Anderson replaced both my knees and 1 hip. For surgery is was a great experience. Highly recommend!!

Dr Dart repaired a torn tendon in my hip and I am now scheduled for hip replacement. He took all the time that was necessary to discuss the options with me. The only negative is that we waited an hour past my appointment time to see him. This practice is very busy! I'm taking one star off for the wait time. read more

I was impressed with how much the staff loves what the do and how well they work as a team.The Gwyn Team took time with me to make sure they had all of my information and I am sure that they were late to help others because of me. I was provided literature in paper with an option that I might consider. I was provide many options and Dr. Gwyn was patient and he was not upset that I am a summer person and do not want to be down during my favorite season. His PA (sorry I am unable to remember his name or title) gave me shots and was gentle and kind because I am afraid of shots. I had a better experience than expected for what I needed done. The Gwyn Team cares about the patients they help. I am including the group at the checkin counter - sometimes I think patients forget that they (front desk) are dealing with many people and once and a majority in serious pain. What a great first impression and it helped me decompress and not as nervous. SORRY FOR BOOK BUT IT WAS A TEAM THAT TREATED & HELPED ME. read more

Dr. Dart medically is great- office scheduling not so much. With every appt the wait time was longer and longer. Today the appt was at 2:45. We waited in the waiting room for just about 30 min and then got the X-ray and sat in the private room for another hour. Saw Dr. Dart for 1 Min 21 seconds. read more

I found another Ortho who saw me within a week and will do my knee replacement soon. If you have a loved one who is a senior, please go with them to their appointment to make sure they are treated right. We seniors are vulnerable. read more

Dr. Shepherd preformed a total knee replacement for me on 1/27. I recovered so well that on 3/14 I went to Jamaica for seven nights. I was scheduled for the second total knee replacement on 3/23, unfortunately, the Covid-19 really ramped up while I was gone. While out of the country, the patient portal made it very easy to communicate with Dr. Shepard and staff (Whitney) on the status of my next surgery. Unfortunately, our state was put on lock down and all elective surgeries were put on hold. As of 4/28, we are still locked down, however, I have communicated both by phone and by portal during this lock down. Great patient care! Thank you for being there for me. The surgery and recovery proceeded just as I was told by Dr. Shepherd (no surprises!) I am anxiously awaiting the next total knee replacement (short term pain followed by long term relief)! I really like the doctor I saw BUT....upon checking in, I presented my BlueCross insurance ID card which clearly shows that office visits have a $25.00 co-pay. I was very surprised when the receptionist said "It will be $175.00 today". I said my office visit co-pay is $25.00. She said that since my deductable was $1,000, I had to pay $175.00. i even ask the doctor. He checked with a lady there who only said "that was their policy". I have never had this happen before. I recently had an appointment with Dr. Pollock at this clinic. I was so pleasantly surprised when I got there. The wait time was just time enough to finish the paperwork. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more professional. Dr Pollock was very kind and answered all questions that we had in terms we could understand. He and his staff made us feel that we were the only patient they had to see. They were never hurried or made us feel rushed. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Great experience. read more

My sister is a patient here. She had an external fixator put on her leg following a horrible car accident. She is constantly in pain following this procedure here, which is normal. However, she has to call once a week to refill her prescription. The following is our experience with Advanced Orthopaedic Associates. My sister called this facility numerous times today and left 3 messages starting at 8am when they opened. She gave them a few hours figuring they were busy and called back again at noon when no one got back to her. Every time she called, she was either told that they would get back to her before the end of the day, was sent to voicemail, or was hung up on. The last time she called at about 3pm, and they said they would make sure to get someone on the phone for her and she was sent straight to voice mail. That is absolutely ridiculous for something so urgent. Since what she is taking is a high dose of pain meds, they will only prescribe 1 week at a time. They told her to take 1-2 pills every 6 hours which meant that she had enough for 3 days if she needed to take 2 per dose. The nurse never got back to her and now she has to wait until tomorrow with no meds and in immense pain. At first this facility did a fantastic job getting back to her. However, these last 2 weeks she has called for a prescription refill and this has happened. This is not an issue with the doctors themselves but more so with the nursing staff and receptionists. Sadly, neither my mom, nor I live in the same state as her so neither of us can help her by going to this facility and formally complaining in person. My mom will be finding a way to take this to the state if this issue is not resolved within a timely manor. We understand being short a nurse or receptionist and taking a while to get back to patients but this is beyond okay. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY. read more

While I appreciate and respect the work these physicians do I do not feel as though they respect the time of their patients and their patients caregivers . It is typical to wait for over an hour after your appointment time to even be escorted back into a room at which point you wait some more . They ask that you check in 30 minutes early yet you wait literally over an hour past your appointment time to be seen . This is a problem that needs to be fixed . If they cannot keep to their schedule they should implement some sort of call ahead check in so that people don't have to waste an hour of their precious time. read more

I recently was referred to see Dr. Bernard F. Hearon at this clinic. The clinic itself is nice and very comfy. However, the sign in staff is a bit curt and dry. I did not feel very welcome. But, my wait was brief thanks to the fact that they sent me a package to fill out before my scheduled appointment. From the waiting room, I was further questioned by a more hospitable staff member by the name of Sheri Aranda. And the x-ray staff was as well. It was the doctor that I was scheduled to see that I have the issue with. Upon reviewing my x-rays and discussing my problems, Dr. Bernard F. Hearon, M.D., proceeded to tell me that I was "too heavy" to have surgery on my shoulder because the extra weight I am carrying would not allow my shoulder to heal properly. And that(and I quote) "I could shop around and try to find another doctor to do it but he was not." He then gave me a weight goal to reach and told me to come back when I reach that weight. Yes, this doctor just told me that I was too fat to perform a needed procedure on. Dr. Benard F. Hearon M.D., who has a potbelly of his own. This doctor would rather I continue to suffer in pain than treat me because I am overweight. Therefore, no, I would not recommend using this doctor or this clinic. read more

Avoid this firm at all costs. And beware of leaving honest negative reviews if you are a patient here. I left a review earlier (on fb) in which I rated this establishment 1 star due to extended wait times and lack of communication. I was called shortly after by Dr Hearon to follow up on the review. I was bullied, threatened, and called condescending names because of it. My original review (on fb) stated that I approached the desk early enough to fill out paperwork. I broke my right index finger pretty bad, and was unable to write. I was asked to fill out a small handful of papers, and no help was offered. Fine. My fault for not asking. Shortly after filling them out I was assured someone would be right out to see me. I waited approximately 1.5 hrs to be called back. I was then placed in another room where I waited approximately another .5 hrs for the doctor to see me. The nursing staff was great and friendly, but Dr Pollock came in with a resident and didn't greet me, gave me a very odd look as I had fallen asleep waiting, and got on his phone to look up X-ray's. He pulled them up, stated I should be okay to let it heal naturally, then stated he wanted to talk to another Dr. 5 or so minutes pass and I'm told nothing as I'm ushered to another doctors receptionist. I was asked what I needed, and I was confused as to what was happening and didnt know why I was moved, and neither did she. She was very nice and I was told to wait. I told her of my long wait previously and she told me that wasn't right that she will try to hurry the Dr. I was called back after about 40 more minutes. I met with Dr hearon fairly promptly and he seemed very cordial and respectful. We got X-ray's, discussed surgery, and I was allowed to leave. (4 hours after initial arrival). Unhappy with the wait and lack of communication I decided to post a review containing one star on facebook. It was responded to promptly telling me they would pass along the comments to my Dr. I wrote in the comment that it was the first doctor, not the second doctor. I was shortly after contacted by an irate Dr Hearon, telling me he was very angry with me and how it was childish to "talk trash" on social media. Calling me 'kid' and telling me to remove the post. At one point he told me " I am very pissed at you Austin, and you don't piss off your surgeon". Which to me felt threatening. As if he would purposefully botch the job or that somehow being angry would effect the results on my surgery. But of coarse that is assumed and cannot be proven. As the conversation went on I tried to explain my side. That he in no way bothered me and it was the lack of communication, and wait time. But he insisted on taking it personally, saying things like" if you're so unhappy we will just send you somewhere else to be their problem". And telling me that a problem with his associate was a problem with him. Continuously Talking over me, calling me "kid" and acting as if what I had to say was meaningless, treating me very arrogantly. At one point he told me he would refund my account and I could just go somewhere else because I disliked the service so much. Which wasn't the problem. I repeatedly tried to explain my side, and one point he said " if you remove the review we can move forward". I shouldn't have to Be bullied into giving a good review or no review. I was very cordial and never once was rude during my visit. Beware. Don't leave a bad review. They will call and harass you and treat you badly, then when you refuse to do what they want, drop you as a patient. I was referred there by the emergency room, and Now I have to go find another referral, and possibly prolong my surgery, which could result in damage to my finger. I have never been treated so unprofessionally. He was acting like a child who didn't get his way. Repeatedly saying he bent over backwards for me and how he did so much for me, when it was at the request of another doctor whom, I don't know, didn't know as much, or didn't have time.. who knows. As I said, communication was nil. I would never allow such an unstable doctor to operate on me and I post a sincere beware to anyone who decides to get care at this establishment. read more

I've been extremely impressed with results from my surgery by Dr. Bradley Dart. He clearly recognizes that he is only as successful as his staff who represent him. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurses, Laurie and Jolene and the Nurse Practitioner, Kasey. They are professional and very attentive, always responding fast when sending in the massive amounts of paperwork required by the Insurance companies. read more

I have had a total knee replacement and a total hip replacement done by Dr. Paul Pappademos. I have had no problems with either procedure. The AOA facility is very quiet and modern. Wait times can sometimes be extended because they are so thorough, I think. Dr. Pappademos is very thorough in his examinations, diagnosis and surgeries. The radiology team knows their stuff, too. My husband also had his shoulder worked on by Dr. Prohaska and his procedure went smoothly as well. I definitely recommend AOA to anyone needing orthopedic surgery. read more

I will never come back. Every time I'm here it takes a minimum of an hour to be seen, and if you inquire about it to the receptionist you're treated as an imposition. I've had two procedures done, neither successfully, and when I tried to get the process started again, I waited an hour and a half to be seen, and I had to go to the receptionist instead of anyone saying anything to me. And although people who came in as late as an hour after me were sent it before I was, I was told the doctor is also a trauma doctor and I just couldn't be sure as to what time I'd be seen. My wife called to see about rescheduling, and was also treated disrespectfully for no reason by the same receptionist. It's not like this is my first time here by any stretch of the imagination, but the problems up front persist. There's no way to plan any kind of day around that kind of schedule, and I'm appalled at the service and lack of accountability. Definitely not the kind of service I'm going to voluntarily be a part of. Surely there are better options available. read more

My experience with Dr. Bollinger is top notch. After my initial accident I had a finger reattached by the only on call surgeon in town at the hospital I had gone to for emergency care. The surgeon that attached my finger rushed through my surgery faster than he should have. My wife told me he was pretty much in and out. Had my bandage removed 2 days later for my post-op. To myself and my wife horror, my finger was twisted and crooked with 2 pins sticking out of my knuckle. Surgeon did not say anything other than that was the best he could do, and keep it unwrapped and see you in a few weeks. So being disappointed we started looking for another ortho hand surgeon who would agree to take on my case. That is when we found Dr. Bollinger. He had us in with an appointment in less than a week. He took his own xrays and laid out my options on the table. He seemed confident that he could at least try and that's all we needed. Was in the operating room less than a week after that and was not disappointed. He actually fixed my finger both cosmetically, but also functional. Unfortunately about a month after that, I messed up the plate, but again he gave me several options that he could do. And now I am going back to the OR for good this time. The fact that he took the time to say, here I can do this or that, and explained each option in a way we could understand, and did not push us one way or the other. He let me to make my own informed decision. If I or anyone in my family ever have any other upper extremity issues, I am not going to hesitate to pick Dr. Bollinger as my first choice. read more

Absolutely the worst service ever! They first attached my records to my fathers. Contacted my parents, to inform me of upcoming appointment. When I showed up for my appointment yesterday, I had know idea who my doctor was, so I wasn't sure what pod to approach. None of my paperwork had the Doctors name on it. I arrived 20 min before my appointment as directed, waited for 40 min, for my appointment. I was going to have wrist surgery for a cyst, they cost of the surgery is about $800.00. I have great health insurance with a minimal deductible. They want to schedule a 15 min procedure with just local anesthetic, and to preform this at the KSRC, the cost of this is a little over $3,000. It jut amazes me how a place with 16 doctors on staff, and a huge building, don't utilize the space for a sterile room to perform small surgery. There is no reason why these cost need to be inflated and passed onto the patient! These doctors know first hand what Obama care has done not only to the insurance industry, but also to their profession! I'm grateful for wonderful insurance that will cover most of this procedure! But when you have other Doctors whom perform this same kind of minimal procedures in a office that 1/4 the size of your building, without making a patient and insurance company pay 3 times the cost! Please people makes sure to check around for better alternatives! read more
