Update: I saw Dr. Contreras today, he is amazing, caring and…read moretook time to explain everything, i discussed my concern about office staff, and he will look into it. The staff consistently fails at their managerial responsibilities. There was no callback after I called several times regarding my referral, which was marked as urgent by Dr. Gupta. Every time I called, Jovani claimed they had already sent it for approval. I have severe head tremors, which cause severe neck pain, and I was recommended by Dr. to get an epidural injection. When I called the referral customer service, they told me they never received the referral. I had to send my husband to the office and have him stand there to ensure they faxed my referral. Jovani never followed up to see if it was approved. The back-and-forth took more than a month, with me calling the doctor's office only to find they were not truthful and no call back even-though they said they will call me back. They never took notes regarding my calls and concerns, so I had to explain the situation every time I called them. This caused me a great deal of stress. The person in charge of referrals Jovani at the doctor's office never called me with an update. This demonstrates such irresponsibility and a lack of service. I am very angry that they did not care how much pain I was in. I hope upper management look into all this negative reviews by other patients too, otherwise they will ruin Dr's. Reputation. Finally Shannon from Sharp referral customer service helped me by calling and follow up with Dr.office to make sure they fax my referral for approval. Thanks Shannon. I finally received my injection from Dr. Conteras, and he was great, but the office staff ruined my experience due to their lack of responsibility.

I was recommended for three fusions and with his help did not have one!!!!! Be very leary when an orthopedic surgeon wants to go right into surgery a steroid injection / or series can fix that issue in most cases. I would highly recommend him for treatment and again they take Lien cases for an auto accident.

First, each of the women that worked with me were friendly and kind. Thank you…read more Things became strange when I was prepped and in the OR location. Because I knew the last name of the doctor who was to perform the procedure I asked the two ladies if the doctor might know of a Robert with the same last name. Out of the blue, the doctor who, unknown to me, had been standing behind the bed I was in suddenly piped up to say, "I know lots of Roberts!" That was definitely a surprise as he hadn't made his presence known especially since I've never had a procedure performed without the doctor introducing him/herself beforehand. But it was at that moment that the "medicine" kicked in and so ended the chat. Still, I never saw the man and definitely was left with the impression that he had been lurking quietly behind me, didn't feel it necessary to meet me, and was mostly interested in getting the job done ASAP. Perhaps he had a tee time. Further strangeness emerged when being driven down the freeway after the exam. I learned from my friend that because I had evidently not cleared the sedative and was still unconcious that someone had gotten me dressed so that I could leave. What?? Wow!! Was that due to an error in determining the strength/quantity of the "medicine" I was given or was it that I hadn't recovered within their timeframe and they needed to get on to the next case? Or both? Whatever the reason, I felt very much indignified and treated with very little regard or respect. Is this commonly done in this type of practice? So earlier, while undressing and changing into the gown, I placed my clothing and personal belongings in a bag that I was given, which when full, was attached to my mobile bed; it was not secured safely anywhere and therefore available to virtually anyone while I was in La La land. While undressing I had removed my wallet, keys and cell phone from my pants and put them at the bottom of the bag, but was amazed to realize after leaving the office that they had been placed properly in my pants where I typically carry them so they were obviously handled. During this handling, and while I was under the influence, what security did I have that my wallet hadn't been opened and gone through? Absolutely none. I am not accusing anyone of doing this or removing anything, I'm only pointing out a situation that someone could have easily taken advantage of and I feel stongly that it should be properly addressed. If I'm in this situation in the future I'll definitely leave anything personal/valuable in my car, locked. After the procedure, the first thing I became conscious of was that I was in my friend's car, dressed, and being driven down the road. She indicated that office staff had told her that I would be contacted the following day to check on me and discuss the results from the test. I received no call. So I guess I'll have to call or go in to see what the written info I received means and what suggestions there might be going forward. This was my first colonoscopy. I was happy to hear that my friend was told I should return in another 10 years, but I'm 71 so I doubt that will need to happen. But if I do, I'll certainly choose another provider. And hopefully one that doesn't leave the patient with the feeling of being very little more than a unit on a production line.

I did the prep for the procedure and showed up at 8:00 am. I was told that I was not on the schedule. They said I was scheduled for a Monday at 6:45. They offered to do the procedure the next day if I could stay on a liquid diet until then. Beginning hypoglycemic I did not want to go another day without eating. I called the Manager and complained about the issue. I requested that they cancel the Monday appointment. I requested that they email me proof that the appointment was canceled. I was told she didn't have access to email. She would have her scheduling staff write and mail the proof of appointment cancellation.

I was wondering at first and thinking how small is this area for parking to be a big of a problem. We came an hour early just to scout the place. They were not kidding. It's a big structure with lots of parking space but also full parking lot. Just like where I work.. it took us 20 minutes to find a parking space and was lucky to have it near the building where my appointment is. Reception wise, same as other Kaiser Permanente clinic or hospital I went to. In about less than 10 minutes, they called for my name and there's Ms Anna Lee and Mr Andrew receiving me warmly by the door. They brought me to my space and let me change into patient gown and Ms Anna Lee walked me through the procedure, Mr Andrew started my IV and I am very appreciative of him granting my request without questions. From there I already felt at ease and most of the questions in my head regarding the procedure were already explained. Few minutes passed and Mr Jonathan came in greeted me and introduced himself and took me to the procedure/sedation room. He also walked me through the things that will be done in that room. Mr. Cesar and Ms Kara were there as part of the team. Moments later, Dr Masters came in and explained to me what will transpire and ask me if I have questions. Procedure was done and all went well. I really appreciate being assigned to this team. They have exceeded my expectations. I was at ease and I have no doubts or questions during my visit. This is the quality of service I would like to have and also what I try to give to our patients as a healthcare personnel. Thank you so much to the whole team. Keep up the good work. :)

The parking situation has become very challenging since the hospital opened and there is often a bottleneck in and out of the free valet parking but that's just an annoyance. I have become increasingly frustrated by the time it takes to schedule elective appointments however. I was told I needed cataract surgery in June 2025. I didn't get a pre op appointment until 1/8/26. Recently I developed an issue with my scalp and wanted to see a different dermatologist than I'd seen in the past. His first appointment at that time (6/8/26) was at the end of September. I called the appointment line that day and made my request. I was told that there were no appointments available and they'd get back to me. When I followed through I was told I was on a priority list and they'd get back to me, which hasn't happened yet. I question whether any other HMO is better. I think they're great if you only need maintenance but, as you age, they don't have the invested resources to take care of my only growing needs.
