He walked me through the MRI scans and explained why he suggested manual manipulation instead. He was very open about the procedure. The actual procedure was in the hospital - under anesthesia - and he came before and after to explain everything. The only drawback was a longer wait but it I can understand why he is popular and why there is a wait. Totally worth it, honestly. Would wait again for this level of care!! My shoulder is much, much better and his advice for post procedure care was also spot on and better (& cheaper) than what the PT folks suggested. As to the negative reviews: the service was quick but Dr. Kelso, and his staff, did answer all my questions. I didn't feel rushed but it was clear they are busy. I also found the receptionists polite, responsive (phone and in person), and professional.

I went home feeling fine that day and then the next day woke up with the worst pain in my life. I was in so much pain that my wife kept me asleep for like a week. Long story short I did PT for two years. The doctors did not listen to me. They asked me the most obnoxious questions. For instance, I told the doctor that I cannot walk up the stairs very easily and then he asked if I had tried to run yet. Anyway, here I am three years later, and I have shooting pains through my leg. They come and go, but my nerve damage and possibly still a tear existing per another doctor. As I told them, they have earned their 5 stars! They are very, very nice, helpful, and professional. I waited for a little while in their nice office, but I didn't have to wait long. When I saw Dr. Burris, he had actually read my file (information submitted prior to visit)! He also had already looked at the x-Ray I got just prior to the appointment. He examined my knee thoroughly and listened to whatever I had to say. After that, Dr. Burris went through all treatment options with me after telling me that my knee problems were from severe arthritis; because I'm also concerned about costs, we discussed that as well. I chose the cortisone shots in my knee, and received one right away. No follow-up necessary until I need him again. It's rare that I can say this, but it was a very pleasant medical experience.
