Had back surgery by Dr Fabi in October 2016. He did laminectomy on 2 different lower back areas and…read moreopened up area for rt sciatic nerve which was getting pinched. After surgery, was in horrific pain for 8-9 months. Called Dr office, and they referred me to pain clinic. Got 2 injections at pain clinic and pain was gone. Then 3 years later am starting to have lower back pain again. My personal Dr ordered MRI and had results sent to Dr Fabi's office. Got appt with his office and when I went to see Dr, saw nurse instead. She told me my back was really bad and that I would need rods in my back. She then went down the hall to talk to Dr who was in his office, and who couldn't take the time to talk to me. He just told his nurse that he could not do the surgery on me and that I would have to have a specialist do the surgery. He couldn't even take the time to come and talk to me. Very poor communication and bad way to treat a patient. I asked the nurse to refer me back to the pain clinic that I had gone to before when I was in pain. I have been going to pain clinic and getting very good help - much more than I can say with Dr Fabi. Will not be going back there.

Dr. Tim tried two procedures, an Epidural and a Nerve Block and although I didn't have any relief he didn't throw opioids at me which others had done. He made a referral to a neurosurgeon and I have an appointment in September. They were all helpful and professional. I had been to two other pain clinics and this was by far the best. Definitely a 5.

He finds the source of your pain and addresses it. I used to work in the operating room with exceptionally bright neurosurgeons, and I can say, I think Dr Rowley is right up there in regards to knowledge about neurology. I feel better after one visit, and walked away with answers about how to keep feeling better. I highly recommend him and couldn't feel more confident that I just found the best Dr around.

Took lots of time with me to listen and understand my problems, did X-rays, reviewed all my medical documentation, determined that the cause of my pain is the IM rod in my tibia, was able to give me a detailed and logical explanation for why he could not do surgery to remove the rod, and gave me suggestions for how to manage the pain given that surgery was not an option. Night and day experience. If you need an OS in Lansing, I highly recommend Dr. Waterbrook.
