Dr. MICHAEL FISHELL of Advanced PainCare has been my Pain Management Doctor for years, so l am able to offer a pretty thorough review. The Henderson office is behind St. Rose Hospital on Siena Heights Drive. A beautiful 2nd floor office and attached surgery center, tranquil and welcoming. They have a second location in SW Vegas off the 215 at Durango, a bright contemporary 1st floor office. Both offices are handicap accessible, have ample parking, are ultra clean, and they get you in quickly! The staff is AMAZING. They are SO nice and they really make you feel welcome. They also run a pretty tight ship with efficient and timely processing of referrals, forms, records requests, returning calls, etc. Many of them have been with Dr. Fishell for 5, 10, 15+ years ... you can tell they love people and they love what they do. On top of that, Dr. Fishell really knows his stuff -- he is Double Board Certified with over 30 yrs experience. Pompous he is not; he actually listens, takes the time to answer questions, is friendly, professional, and even has a sense of humor. He'll put you right at ease and won't make you feel stupid for asking questions. I also like that he's conservative when it comes to prescribing meds. And if you're considering one of the new cutting-edge Neurostimulators, Dr. Fishell is THE ONE to see. Top Doc in Southwestern US when it comes to Neurostimulation. He's even assisted with training and research in the field -- highly knowledgeable. I saw Dr. Fishell 12 years ago for chronic back pain. He is a very good doctor. I called on 08/11/25 and found out he no longer prescribes pain medication, he only specializes in pain procedures. I'm disappointed he no longer prescribes pain medication. If I get to the point of needing a procedure for my back pain, I would definitely come to him. read more

I hope this finds the office manager. I normally don't do negative reviews nor do I like to bash a business a man worked so hard to build. This review is for the older lady with blonde hair. She's so rude to all the employees, I normally wait outside as my daughter and sister are seen by the doctor. I was a patient n the past as well many many years ago and she was still working with doctor Michael Fishell carrying the same attitude. You can only hear her talking so disrespectfully about patients in the waiting room, patients on the phone and to the employees. She uses fail language with every sentence. Its so uncomfortable having to sit in the waiting room as you see that lady yell and disrespect the ladies in the front and other employees in the back. As well as her talking about the patients in the lobby. I hope this review finds the right person. Again doctor Michael Fishell is a great doctor and so is all his staff, but that rude loud lady is so unprofessional only time i hear her laugh is when i hear doctors voice. I have a very painful degenerative spinal condition affecting my lower back for which surgery and pain killers have not been helpful. About every 12 months though, I get a Radio Frequency Nerve Ablation from Dr. Fishell which does help immensely. The procedure is done in house in the surgery center upstairs from his office. They put me out so I feel no pain during the ablation and I'm usually in and out in a few hours. Dr. Fishell is competent, and so is his very friendly and accommodating staff which is almost never the case in the Vegas area. I have never had a billing problem either. The office staff is great! They really listen and do everything they can to help you. They even took my little one for a walk while she was fussy so I could focus and get all the information I needed and when I was done my daughter was as happy as could be, what helped more then they know. I have done different treatments with Dr. Fishel, he is extremely knowledgeable and for the first time it felt like a Doctor truly cared about his patients. Making things extremely comfortable and professional. He will never push a treatment or medication on you he gives you the information and supports your decisions. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. They helped me as much as they could. But its a fact that pain medication will not cure your injury, it will just calm the pain temporarily. Dr. Fishel is very knowledgeable and helpful. He listens to you very well, and does his best to prescribe what might fit your problem best. While I was doing physical therapy I tried a few medications, and I also tried getting a shot in my back. I had the shot done there in his office and everything went really well. His nurses comforted me when I started to freak out a little. Very professional environment. I do not go there anymore, thankfully, I have gotten a lot better with PT and a lot of lifestyle changes. My wife had an appointment for 2:30 as stated in her email confirmation. We showed up 2:15. The receptionist told us we had to reschedule due to being late after driving over an hour from North Las Vegas. She said the appointment was scheduled for 2:00 PM and that we should not have listened to the written stated time of 2:30. Let me start by saying that I was diagnosed with a spinal condition 13 years ago and up until my insurance changed this year had been with the same pain management doctor since 2009. My experience with this office and doctor was by far the worst experience I've had since my condition started and I have seen countless doctor's for a variety of care since I was diagnosed. First I called to make an appointment and did receive a call back on a Saturday which was impressive but sadly it ends there. The girl called and took my information and said she would call back on Monday. I waited over a week with no call back and had to follow up myself. My first appointment was cancelled by their office and rescheduled. For pain management that is a bad sign. People can't afford to have their appointments rescheduled especially if they need their medicine. My situation at the time didn't call for immediate refill so I let them reschedule. When we arrived at the office for our appointment at noon there were a few other people in the lobby. I had already completed all my paperwork ahead of time. They took every other patient in except for us. As we waited a couple came out and asked to have the same appointment for next month at the same time which was 12:30. I got up at that point and asked if they we re was a problem with our 12 O'clock appointment. The receptionist said they were just waiting on a room and when I asked why they were taken before us she started stuttering. I then sat back down when a few minutes later a woman comes out very angry stopped in front of me shaking a paper yelling the doctor didn't even come in the room because he's at lunch!!! She then stormed out and not a minute later they called me in apologizing. We waited over an hour at that point and once in the room we waited another 25 minutes before the doctor walked in and if you think the craziness stops there you would be wrong. I then listened to the doctor rant for an hour about politics how our government is trying to make the medical field a Socialist set up and thats why i cant get my meds when in reality with my condition I've never had trouble getting my medication. He also made me feel like a drug seeker since he talked about how patients go and buy heroin off the streets which i assure you in 13 years of care has never been me. He then discussed patients killing themselves by jumping off buildings due to anxiety and depression medications both of which I don't even take. He then continued on his rant about doctors who push products for money all the while he was pushing a stimulator on me and when i said 2 of my doctors said it should be a last resort he called them both liars. I told him then that I wouldn't be able to make any decisions since i was possibly facing another surgery this year and he said he would simply provide the information. Not at any point in his 1 hour rant did he ever ask any questions about myself or my care. A few days after this fiasco I received a call from his office about setting up the procedure date for my stimulator. When I tried to explain to the girl that it was not agreed upon she wouldn't listen and quickly transferred me to billing where again I wasn't allowed to speak and was forced to rudely interrupt and tell her no! I have never experienced such a debacle in all my life!!!!! read more

Dr Fishell is indeed a joke. My husband has been seeing him for approximately 10 years. His idea of an office visit is to walk in, be taken to a room, left for a few minutes while his assistant runs to get your prescriptions, hands them to you and shows you the door out to be scheduled for another $200 visit the next month. He doesn't check you, ask for a urine sample to make sure you're not abusing your medication or ask and check to see if the medications he's giving you are working for you. I didn't realize that he wasn't taking care of my husband properly until something went wrong and he was no longer able to walk. They were going to try a trial stimulator on his back but all they wanted was a psychiatric test. No blood work, no ekg, no anything! The day before he was supposed to have this procedure done he had an appointment to go get his prescriptions. I explained to one of his staff who makes the appointments what a problem it was to have to have my husband put on a gurney and transported to his office and could he please get them the next day when he gets the procedure done. She put me on hold and came back and insisted he come in both days. I then asked why the Dr was being such a jerk for not having any compassion for my husband. It made no sense at all to make him come on a gurney both days. The next day the nasty assistant who thinks that she is a doctor herself called him which happened to be the day before the procedure and told him that the Dr would no longer see him, wouldn't do the procedure, and he would have to find himself a new Dr because I called him a jerk. Who does that? There were other ways of handling the situation and to take it out on my husband was gross negligence. We have since seen another Dr who cannot believe that Dr Fishell let his legs get so bad without recommending some kind of physical therapy. In June it will be a year since all this started. He no longer has any muscle in his legs and his new Dr said it would take well over a year to work on him getting any muscle back to walking order if he even can ever walk again. Dr Fishell and his snotty assistant Annette ought to be ashamed of themselves. I suspect there's a lot of cattiness going on in that office and Annette is a big part of the problem too. She has about as much compassion as a nut. Dr Fishell only worries about being sued. Well guess what Dr? You're probably going to be sued anyway. If you are on workman's comp and only care about getting strong medication and you're not paying for them then you are a candidate for this useless Dr. But if you indeed have a problem that needs to be addressed don't go to this man. All he cares about is your $200 visit every month without having to do any work. The star rating I selected was a 1 star, ,but he shouldn't even be rated that. He isn't worthy of even a 1. read more
