The ladies in there are nice however, I don't feel like they know really what they are doing. It's not clean either as in they use the same pads for the stimulation machine on every patient instead of individual pads for each patient. Also, my doctor ordered iontopherisis therapy to be done. I now have an electrical burn in my leg which will permanently scar me. read more

My experience at QPR (Quality Performance Rehabilitation) in Fort Pierce, FL, was unproductive,…read morevery disappointing, and regrettable. I went for approximately ten physical therapy sessions and in that time, I had four different physical therapists. That is a lot of different 'hands on' in such a short time. Other physical therapy clinics have agreed this was "unusual" and "not ideal." If consistency of care is important to you, then consider this problematic policy of using many different PT's to treat you. The interior set up is quite cramped and lacks privacy. During these days of Covid-19 and 'social distancing,' I would be very concerned about the physical limitations of this particular facility. Most importantly, I had an entirely new medical issue added to my condition, an impinged ulnar nerve probably caused by an overzealous, part-time physical therapist. The extent of this injury is still unknown. I spent the majority of the ten sessions trying to 'undo the harm' that was done. So, not only was I no better off than when I started treatment, I was demonstrably worse. When I approached the owner he apologized, but did not want to take responsibility. I take no pleasure in writing this review but thought it was my obligation for others to know before they consider attending physical therapy QPR in Fort Pierce.

How can I give them zero stars?…read more I can't even begin to explain how horribly my grandmother was treated. She was mistreated / manhandled and neglected. Anytime I would call the nurse's station, I would get the same nurse. Unprofessional, always automatically jumped to defending herself (when I'm simply asking for something for my grandma), rude, gossipy (literally gossiped about me to her coworkers while I was on the phone), and the list goes on. It was like pulling teeth trying to get info from her. It's like she didn't care how my grandma was progressing. I hated calling because I knew they'd give me a hard time. Not long before her hospital stint and rehab, my grandma could get in and out her scooter and a car. She could go to the bathroom herself, get to the fridge in her scooter herself etc. Now she is completely bedbound, cannot even get out of bed. What's the point of rehab when they essentially let her deteriorate? I think they only did rehab once a day, if that. They didn't communicate with us as a family about her progress. We, as a family, are so so disappointed. I am nurse and my entire family is in healthcare. I wish I could say this is just an exaggeration of a review, but sadly it's not. I'm appalled at how bad they let my grandma get. Even on my hardest days as a nurse, I never treat people the way she was treated. We're so so sad. We feel like she'll never recover now that she has lost so much muscle mass. This didn't have to happen. Understaffed I'm sure and under-qualified to care for people. Horrible communicators. Many of the staff members are nasty and don't follow through on their word. One nurse told me if I'm not happy with the care she's getting I can get her discharged. Who says that? And with attitude to boot. Ugh I could go on but y'all get the point. The ONLY nurse we trust there is Pam! What an angel. They don't even deserve her there, she's so caring and kind. Even checked in on my grandma when she wasn't working. Simone is good also. I believe she's social work. But that's it. Whatever you do, DON'T send your family member here. You'll regret it.

He came out breathing fire and shaking, chin belligerently lifted. They both accused me of a no-show appointment and refused to see me that day, the same weekday I had been coming in for several weeks. When I tried to show them my phone call record proving I had canceled their incorrect appointment for me, the PT said I could easily have changed my phone record. A young woman, the "receptionist in-training," tried to come to my defense, by showing on the computer that I had canceled my appointment, but PT refused to acknowledge her. He added, for no reason, that the assistants had complained that I was disrespectful to them. Shocked, I said I wanted to hear it from their own mouths. I started walking toward the therapy room, PT threw himself against the door and accused me of threatening him and of trespassing. BTW, I am in my 70s, with 2 bum shoulders (a situation they were not able to alleviate--just horrible grinding and my bone visibly popping under the skin.) I did promise to complain about them on social media. They called the police on me. PT said when the police get here, we will tell them you threatened us and it will be 3 against 1. I waited outside for the police (my mistake--should have just left) and soon two cop cars showed up. They ran my license, asked me what had transpired. After they spoke to PT, they came out and told me I was never to set foot in there again. Infuriating and humiliating. Previous to this I had a friendly relationship with PT, exchanging trivia questions every time, often getting the other clients involved. As far as the assistants go, if I spoke more than 5 sentences to either of them in my 16 bi-weekly visits, it would be a lot. In addition, it is a bleak and poorly equipped space--no place even to hang a coat or purse. The walls are decorated with reprimanding posters blaming the clients if their treatment isn't working. The very first time I was there, a little elderly man was wandering around the room and was snapped at with "You've been told what to do!" Maybe more, or any, outside supervision should check this operation and the PT out.

He had been in and out of intensive care while being bedridden in a different rehab and skilled nursing facility. After many months in that facility he had recovered enough to eat and swallow soft food but he was still unable to walk. Then he came to Lynmoore, just before Christmas in 2023. My wife and I live in California, so we can't visit him in Florida that often, but we did visit for a few days in June, 2024. What a difference! We walked in one day just after his physical therapy session ended; he was walking back to his room with the therapist by his side, not in his wheelchair! That never happened before. This alone would rate five stars, all gold, but there is more. During our visit we interacted with many people: the nurses, the therapists, the community engagement director, the records office, the business office, even the dining hall staff. Everyone was friendly and professional. Residents coming and going were greeted by name. The buildings were clean and well maintained. The food was good; I ordered the same thing that my brother had when we ate together in the dining room. The affiliated home healthcare and pharmacy services are excellent; I continue to interact with them. However, there is even more to the story. My brother was in such bad shape when he first came to Lynmoore that, during our June visit, a couple of staff members admitted to me that they didn't think he would last in assisted living; he was that bad off. I truly believe he was admitted and flourished because the Wellness Director believed in him, motivated him from the very beginning, and everyone took good care of him around the clock.

The memory care unit is the worst in this facility I walk into see my family member and you see people sitting with no bras on, their pants aren't pulled up all the way, they're sitting in their own urine and fecal matter. This place is horrible. The staff in the memory care unit have such attitudes when you ask them questions about your loved ones. They need to work on communication with family members and show the family members a little respect because it's the family members that are making their paychecks possible!!! At one point, when I went to take my family member out for the day, a resident from the memory care unit snuck out behind me and the staff member was pulling the resident's arm to get her back into the unit! The resident was screaming and I had to step in and handle the situation! Residents should be handled with love, respect and dignity and not pulled at like animals!! The other issue is with the billing department! They slip extra change onto the bill! They debited my bank account with one amount and then the bill reflects that I didn't pay them the amount they debited out of my account but instead they tell me that I'm wrong and I'm the idiot that doesn't know how to read a bill. They nickel and dime you to death, so pay close attention to your bill!! I have asked them numerous times to give me a call and sit down with them so I can explain my issue and no one calls me and no one wants to hear what I'm trying to explain to them, but they do keep debiting my account to get their money! When an issue arises and you try to call the department heads, no one returns your phone calls. When you get tired of dealing with a lack of communication from the facility itself and you try to call the corporate office, they also let you fall through the cracks and do not return calls either. This place really needs to be turned into the state of Florida regarding their care for patients and their lack of attentiveness to family members and their constant over billing and refusal to correct it. There are so many other issues with this place as well. They overdosed my sister and didn't know how to care for her. They had the tenacity to ask me what they wanted them to do. I told them to send her to the hospital. They have no protocols in place if there is something detrimental happening to your loved one. The staff seem to go into blame mode instead of focusing on the patient in need!! I took down my original post that actually detailed what happened to her because I promised the executive Director of the Wickshire that I would take it down until another incident evolved. That is why I am making this post. The sad part is: I shouldn't have had to write another post!! My concerns and questions should have been addressed after the first incident!!! Key points here: 1.They have no respect for your loved ones-they do not care about the dignity of your loved ones!!!! 2. Staff sit in the office on the Memory Care Unit and talk to family or just play on their phones or computer! 3.If you ask staff a question, they seemed to be bothered by your disrupting them! 4. Also when you take your loved one out for the day from the Memory Care Unit, the med techs DO NOT fill out the forms of what medications you are bringing home with your family member! They expect the family members to fill out the paperwork for them! 5. This facility and staff are more eager to blame instead of finding a solution to the problem. 6. The lack of communication runs rapid from the corporate office down to the facility level. 7. They over bill. 8.This place needs a complete overhaul from Corporate Office down to facility level!
