Advance Radiology called me to schedule a follow-up MRI appointment at my gynecologist's request. I took a day off work to go to the appointment. After changing into a gown and having needles placed in my arm, I was ready for the MRI when the technician informed me that my provider had indicated I needed to do the follow-up MRI next year, not today. I'm frustrated that the scheduler didn't check the date on the order, the front desk didn't verify it, and the technician--who poked me multiple times--didn't check either. I checked in on a Friday evening for a MRI. It went smoothly. The wait wasn't long either. The ladies were really nice to me. I like they gave me ear pro and headphones. I had an early Sunday morning appointment and was in and out in under 15 minutes. Just the way I like it!!!

I haven't even had my test yet because they haven't returned my calls to schedule it. I have made 4 phone calls, have spoken to 5 people, have asked to speak to a stupidvisor but the person who answers won't allow me to talk to one. Each person I have spoken to tells me it is a specialty procedure and the floroscopy dept must make the appointment but the person I spoke to previously didn't put the request in properly. I went in for Doppler exam as I had done before in 2014 of my left leg. The lady that helped me was Lauren. She was kind and professional and very concerned about my comfort which I appreciate greatly. The last time that I was there, I had DVTs and the procedure was extremely painful. The person who did the procedure was not gentle and seem to have the personality of a peeled grape. This lady was so knowledgeable and so caring that if they had some water to sprinkle on her so she could be cloned it would be a marvelous thing for the company as well as for the patients. I recently had an ultrasound done at Advanced Radiology on Plumtree Road in Bel Air. It was a positive experience from beginning to end. I was greeted as soon as I entered the facility. I was registered and taken in the back for an ultrasound in a timely manner. Shout out to Laura who did my ultrasound. She was great. Laura was very friendly and professional. She took the time to explain the test to me as well as the results. She made sure I was comfortable and understood everything while waiting for my test results and ultimate contact with my prescribing doctor. Although she was busy with other patients she kept checking on me and made me feel as if I was the only patient. I highly recommend Advanced Radiology. read more

My doctor sent a script over to advanced radiology for a MRI. I called to make an appointment explaining to them that I needed the wide bore MRI machine and then I would be taking Valium to assist me knowing I would need a driver that day. So I received a phone call the Friday before my appointment, which is on Monday asking some specific questions like which shoulder would they be doing? They also explained to me that I need to be there one hour early to take the Valium and I will need a driver. No problem. So I get there early for my appointment that following Monday with my driver and they question me again what body part they would be studying. They also said the radiologist had left for the day and that it was too late in the day for me to take the Valium. I said I would give it a try anyway, but upon getting changed and being ready the technician informs me that I would be in a regular machine, the small one. I looked at it and said "oh hell no!" So in summary, I didn't need my driver, I couldn't take my medication, they had no idea what body part we were studying and that it was in the wrong machine. The only thing that I could say good is that they were all super kind to me and helped me reschedule at a different center with an open MRI. read more

The absolute worse medical facility in the world. The people that work there are rude and disrespectful. My husband waited 49 minutes for an appointment and when they finally called him up, they turned him away because he didn't have script. Despite the fact that they had it to call insurance for approval. He returned 5 minutes later with the script and they gave his appointment away. They wouldn't add him back in. It was 6:15 AM! Again, he waited 40 minutes. I called to get him in as it was an urgent appointment. The awful woman that answered said there was nothing they could do. To call the call center. I was crying because of the urgency of the appointment begging her to put him in the schedule. She hung up on me!!!!!' This is my 2nd awful experience with them. I have had to go to this location twice in the past month and a half. One of my favorite things about AR is their patient portal. It allows you to see images and reports. So when you are having anxiety about your doctor taking forever to call you back, you can just log on and see the images! Even if you don't know what you're looking at. I like being able to have access to them so easily. The first time I went was for a CT scan. I went on July 3rd and obviously it was EXTREMELY busy. The ladies at the front desk that check you in are extremely nice and helpful. You could tell the entire staff was overwhelmed but trying their best. Once I got taken back for my cat scan it was very quick and easy. The technician did a really good job and made me feel comfortable. It took forever to get my results back but that could very well of been my doctors fault because the labs were up on the patient portal for me to see way before I got the call from my doctor. My second visit was for a complete ultrasound of my pelvis and let me tell you, they are UNCOMFORTABLE but the technician was fantastic and assured me she would do her best and I certainly feel that she did. My appointment was super quick and easy and since it was at 6:30pm on a Friday they took me straight back almost immediately. Definitely recommend this location. Friendly staff, excellent technicians, clean location and extremely easy to schedule with. read more

This is a terrible medical facility! Michelle at the front desk made me copay $45.53 and my health insurance with a health reimbursable account paid that amount and they are awful in taking my complaint about overpayment. My husband was ordered to get X-ray and Michelle should know better about my health insurance that also covered my husband. Advanced Radiology is taking such an extremely long time reimbursing me my $45.53 and they are so unprofessional there. I won't use advanced Radiology for my mammograms unless they reimburse me $45.53! I would not recommend. read more

Surprisingly the people the perform the CT scam are very pleasant; however the Customer representative the answered the phones are very RUDE. For this reason alone I will travel today to Delaware to get my CT scan. I will go out of my way to stay away from this location. read more

rg On July 19th I went to Advanced Radiology to get a chest ct I'm a cancer patient with pneumonia. I was repeatedly harassed about if I covid. The psr kept shaking her head looking at my paper that said pneumoni not knowing what to do I stood there feeling helpless and sick I would not get my test. I informed her I was in the hospital two weeks ago with pneumonia and was testEd. That still didn't seem to matterI was still being question for COVID. I informed them I was tested 3x in the last month. Than it was how I was being tested they wanted to no. I spoke to the office mrg the next day which I feel was worse. She did apologize for the treatment but she would of had me come back with proof. Let me remind everyone this is a imaging center to get test done when you are sick.Next time I will travel the hour to go to American Radiology to be treated with kindness and respect. read more

I had an appointment today to get an MRI with contrast. The front desk was super nice and the wait was not long. However, when the tech had to inject the contrast, I was stuck in the arm 7 times and 4 of my veins were blown out. Though they were apologetic (which I appreciate), this should never happen. Front desk is rude. Signed in and was never called. Took numerous patients while I waited, even with an appt. Finally, I went back up and was met with a RUDE "I know you're here, I'm getting to you". People are here for medical diagnostics, of which are life threatening. How do you talk to patients that way? Go check yourself and get some humanity. read more

I have used Advanced several times. Both their Bel Air, MD and Owings Mills, MD locations. Always treated courteously and unless they were extremely crowded, was usually seen for either Xray or CT Scan within 10-15 minutes. Staff has always been courteous. read more

Had appointment today for 3d mammogram, was told at front desk that ALL OUT OF STATE BLUE CROSS do not cover. All insurance policy's are different, so I know this is a incorrect statement. Had a 3D mammogram last year that was covered by the same OUT OF STATE BLUE CROSS plan. Called insurance while I was there to verify coverage, insurance company told Advanced Radiology it was covered. They did not care still wanted there 60.00, cancelled my appt. read more
