I had imaging the end of March 2026. Check-in at the first desk, and main desk was fine. I was absolutely berated by the technician Cathy/Kathy that was doing the mammogram, to the point that I left sobbing. I have never been treated so poorly at a medical office. I already followed up with the Office Manager and voiced my concerns, and she was responsive and understanding. A few details: I called a week before my appointment to have 2 accounts(married/maiden name) merged and that didn't happen/didn't show on Cathy's end so she didn't see my prior imaging. Besides that, she told me they will refuse to read my imaging since I didn't have them sent over *before* my mammogram, which is not true per the office manager. She also told me it was my responsibility to get all of my imaging sent over when that is actually dependent upon what Advanced Radiology has access to, and what they don't. I was going to just avoid having the same technician again but after talking with friends about positive experiences elsewhere, I will just try a different imaging center. The fact that she is mentioned in another review with concerns is very telling. read more

Normally very quick service. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Office is very clean. I've been going for yearly mammograms and the staff is very efficient and will explain everything they do before they do it. My last visit was a little off tho as the initial check in girl must not have let the ladies know I was there because I waited almost as hour while others were coming in, being seen and leaving. I finally went up to the other check in woman and she got me taken care of asap. She apologized and I was taken in the back and out again within 10 mins. Staff member - called Cathy (?) struggled to do a simple mammogram and blames me as being the worst patient they even had and that working on me hurt their body . They would not retake pictures as I asked but did show me several images and pointed out their flaws. Clearly one image was not a complete image of the area. Nor did they get another tech to take over when they were clearly struggling with me and their own physical issues. I left with feeling Degraded by their staff and with no confidence in the service provided. Don't trust this place with your breast imaging care as their technologists don't follow basic patient care and know how to do basic Imaging techniques. Explains why we have a breast cancer cluster in harford county. GO ELSEWHERE!!! read more

Went to get an MRI on Saturday. Front of the house staff were friendly enough and I was seen nearly immediately after I took a seat. I think the operator of the MRI was training a new girl on how to operate the machine? My main complaint is that when it was over, the girl who removed my IV twisted it a couple times before rolling the needle out of my arm, which hurt enough for me to say "ouch!" The heck was that? Also, I felt a bit like I was being chastised about not remembering where I had gotten the last scan I had for this issue that I had the MRI for that they could use for comparison. Sorry, it was 10 or more years ago, I can't remember. I also felt a bit chastised after the MRI was done for having to reposition my arm (which was going numb due to an old shoulder injury). I didn't know they had different MRI machines that could accommodate for that. I didn't even know my arm was going to go numb like that. I was then ushered out pretty quickly for the next waiting patient, without another word. I see on here that a lot of other people have complaints about this location. I can see why. I'll go to Aberdeen instead. read more

There is always a problem. Today I had my 3rd canceled scan within 2 hours of the appointment. Not using anymore.

The overall care ONCE you get through to someone that can help you was very good. Then I had to call again to schedule a biopsy. Trying to get through to someone to schedule an appointment is grueling. The people in the answering office where ever that is have no idea where the locations are actually located, they have never heard of hospitals where Advanced Radiology offices are located and half of the 12 people I talked to in the 2 days of trying to schedule a breast biopsy could not speak understandable English. I was told by one person that someone would contact me in 24 hrs. When I had not been contacted in that time frame the next day, I called them again. After being transferred to 8 different people I reached someone that told me "Oh, they are supposed to tell you 24-48 hours". She then proceeded to put me on hold for an unacceptable amount of time while she was supposedly typing a message again for someone to call me to schedule a biopsy. After 5 minutes, I hung up. This is a very trying experience especially when you are not sure if you may or may not have cancer in your breast. This is really an unacceptable way to treat patients. I have used them forever but after this experience I will be looking for a different radiology center in the future. read more

I had to have several MRIs recently. I had one at both locations on Plum Tree, and one of the technicians that I had two times was Josie. I mentioned to Josie, that I was very nervous, especially with the second one being with contrast. She made me feel very comfortable and explained everything thoroughly and during the procedure checked on me many times. Josie was wonderful,as well as the entire staff from check in to check out. I don't think the staff knows or cares about how their behavior appears to the clientele. The front desk just chats away, loudly, to one another and to the person across the room at the door. I was in a empty waiting room for 20 minutes before one of them decided to stop ignoring me and call me up. The tech was apparently at lunch so i was there for 1 hour for imaging that took 2 minutes to do. People really don't give a damn anymore, do they? read more

I have been to this location and the one across the street and I have never occurred a problem. With each visit I have been accommodated in a very pleasant way. There is one lady in particular that I have came across and she is amazing. (She is one of the MRI techs...once I get her name I'll update the review) she has always been so sweet and took the time to be personable. She has done a MRI on me about 3 times now and has been fabulous! The building has always been cleaned when I visited as well. They also always keep up with the holidays. I when I was just visiting they had the Christmas tree and decorations to celebrate. They also have updated their machines. Now while you are getting a MRI done, you can listen to whatever genre of music you like! It truly is a great addition since sometimes the sessions can be longer than others. I just had an MRI at the 201 Plumtree Rd. Suite 101 location. What a wonderful experience I had! Kind, patient and helpful staff behind the front desks as well as the receptionist. When I was called in, on time, the tech was helpful and friendly, even offering the hospital socks, seeing that I had sandals on my feet. Both techs for the MRI were so sweet and accommodating, even asking if I would like a blanket, if I were cold. Take the blanket, you might just fall asleep! So glad they use scrubs now instead of the embarrassingly open smocks; super comfortable! I wanted to take them to use as pjs!!! I didn't of course. Such quality care and thorough questions, to make sure that I was safe and comfortable. I can't thank them enough. I highly recommend this location. read more

LADIES!! Do NOT go here for a mammogram!! I was originally scheduled for January but THEY canceled my appointment. Then I showed up in person to my appointment that was rescheduled to JUNE and they told me they couldn't see me and needed to cancel and reschedule my appointment. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? Office is clean, somewhat friendly. My concern is they talked me into enhanced breast cancer detection when getting my mammogram. They said it is a second set of eyes on the images. Cost me $40.00 out of pocket as it is not covered. Not a big deal. When I get there they tell me all it is, is that they have AI scan the images as well as their Tech look at them. Still not a big deal. My issue was I go online to see my results and they won't give them. They state I need to contact the referring provider for results. First off, my provider did not refer me for that and secondly, I paid for that service. Seems like it's just another way for them to soak money out of you. I will NEVER again pay for a service as to where I am NOT allowed to have my results!! Total joke & a rip off! read more

Horrible organization. 1) cancelled a brain scan because they were too lazy to check that no authorization was required and then lied about the reason for the cancellation 2) bel air facility is cold, multiple counters you don't know where to go and employees don't really acknowledge you 3) sent me a bill for 10.00 from 2018 YES 2018 in 2023 how PATHETIC!!! Said they didn't receive check I sent and it takes almost 6 years to figure that out. Go elsewhere. Zero stars !! read more

My wife had two scans in the past two years; on both occasions Advanced Radiology insisted on taking a credit car payment up front, THEN filed a claim with our health insurance for the FULL amount including the estimated total already paid with a credit card. This second charge ultimately came out of our health savings account. On the first go-around, calls to Advanced Radiology's billing office did not result in the appropriate adjustment, so we resorted to calling our health insurance company to reverse the double-billing. They were successful, and we figured it was a billing glitch. Lo and behold the same thing happened again this year, although they waited 5 months before billing our insurance. Upon calling Advanced Radiology, the billing office performed an "investigation", then sent us a letter a week later telling us "our concerns had been resolved". Apparently that didn't involve giving back the double-billed amount. A chargeback attempt with the credit card company didn't work, as the original charge (5 months earlier) was too old, so now we're going back to getting the health insurance company to claw back the wrongly-charged funds. A business model that allows chronic overcharges is incompetent at best, or simply corrupt. read more

I had two MRIs here. Both went horribly wrong. The first one I was in intense pain. They kept telling me to stay longer because they had "almost gotten it" 10 minutes after pushing the panic button they let me get up. The result came back "too blurry". The second one was another day with a different person. This time the result came back "too fat". Seriously? Several grand and this is the quality of the work? They knew my size, my pain issues AND that I had muscle spasms in the area they were taking images of in advance and assured me it would be fine. Clearly it isnt. Never again. read more

Noticeable difference in wait time since a year ago. My mammogram screening in the past has been max 20 minutes from registration to walking out the door. I knew something was up when there were NO parking spaces in the parking lot and after riding around a few times was finally able to get one. The waiting room was PACKED. I've never seen it like that in any of my visits over the years. I then sat for 20-25 minutes watching them call four women at a time for mammograms. it was never that way before. I'm guessing they are overbooking in order to increase patients per day which boils down to more money coming in each day. I got there at 10 for a 10:15 appt. and didn't get out of there until 11:10...almost an hour. The techs and front desk employees are always very pleasant and friendly though. I now know to leave earlier in order to get a parking spot and plan on being there at least an hour. It's a shame. read more

If I could give Advanced Radiology less than 1 star I would. Had a 4 10 appt and at 4 55 I had to go to the desk and inquire if they were running late. No notification whatsoever when I came in. Ended up having to reschedule. This is ridiculous and very unprofessional read more

As we walked in, one of the main lady's up front scolded my girlfriend for being 15 minutes late in front of at least 20 patients. She then continued to be rude to her until she was literally in tears. Horrible experience. read more

Advanced Radiology does not respect a person's time. I was trying to make an appointment for my brother for a lung cancer screening. The order was sent to them from the PCP's office in June for a later date. The first person I spoke to was able to see the order and had to send me to the correct department. The CT cancer screening department could not find the order. After arguing with her about it, I had asked to speak with the supervisor and got sent to voice mail. Rather than argue again, I called the PCP office and had them resend. They had sent it on 6/15. Called back and told them what happened and they refused to acknowledge that the lost the original. I got hung up on twice and sent to voicemail once. Finally I called back the very nice person I first spoke with, Danielle who said she would send a message to have someone call me back. I hate dealing with Advanced Radiology. I had the same issue with the first time I had to schedule an appointment for him. If he had not had his initial screening with them, I would be finding a different company to schedule this exam. read more

They wont do my utrasound that was requested by a doctor because i have a two year old son . i requested an appt that would accommodate my mom being able to watch my son and there not open that late ??? I was in building on 7/9/18 @ 6:30 pm, the colored receptionists were too busy having a laugh and good old time and were very ignorent and rude, also I noticed all the white folks were called up last for there apts. And they were far to busy watching the Orioles game on your TV then doing there fucking job.. I also waited 40 mins after my scans yo get my results. And when asking the ladys behide the counter how much longer the results was response was I told you to sit down and wait,I'm sry np human being is gonna talk to me like I'm a pieace of trash. 1st of I have spinal spondylosis and 2nd it's very uncomfy to sit on your chairs. 1. Your staff up at front counter needs to learn how to talk and get that they aren't in the ghetto. Iv been in that building 2 times and both times the nite crew at reception have been rude. Honestly you need to talk to them on how to properly talk to your guests. Without the patients your company is gonna go down the drain and word will travel fast how ignorent the receptionists are. The only pleasant part about going Into the building is the ct scanners and techs in the back were nice and talkative and deserve to be praised how they treat people. They have good manners and good hearts and the ladys who saw and did my tests that day deserve a pat on the back. You need to look at better how ur companys employees treat the general public. Not saying I'm a racist but I felt very unwelcome and unwanted in your building at plumtree behide McDonalds in Belair. I will be spreading the word of how ignorent your receptionists are and how they would rather be having a good time and talking and chatting and watching a game then being nice to ur patients...... out of 10, ur receptionists got a 1.
