He raised the concrete slabs, filled the void with an industrial foam to stabilize the slabs with a smooth gradient; he also raised the corner of another slab in the driveway bordering the sidewalk so that no one will trip on it. Now my sidewalk is back to its original good shape/height. John also explained his job procedure clearly. He is very pleasant and easy to talk to, with a great smile and confidence in his job.

Nothing to do with our drainage. Yours did not even last a year. We have no defects, this is a brand new patio. There IS PVC edging. It's even stronger material than PVC. You saw it. Stop twisting and deflecting. My pavers have not shifted. What's failed is your sanding and sealing, the entire patio now, all cracks where you sealed are now falling apart. The company who did the initial sealing and install of this patio did a fantastic job but they don't do maintenance work. It was sealed, nothing got through it. With yours everything fell apart, period across the whole patio in less than a year and a half gradually. If you can't refund or redo. Then f off. This review therefore stays up. The truth be told.

I had Glen quote me on fixing my concrete issues. He only offered me the option of removing and…read morereplacing my entire front concrete porch that has two cracks in it --one was jagged -- so did not look good ($5500). Another company came out, drilled down the uneven concrete and coated the cracks with matching concrete for $100. Is this a lifetime fix? No, cracks do re-open but even brand new concrete can crack over time. Then Glen said to repair walkway was $2500 (completely take up and replace so it sits at higher angle to front patio so the step up to the front concrete porch is not so high up. Another company put in a form and built me a concrete step that makes it possible to not replace the walkway, and then they filled in concrete imperfections and cracks in the sidewalk and left me extra concrete color, if it re-opens. My garage needed a new step (replace old wood one with concrete) and he quoted me $225.00 which is reasonable, and my side step had sunk and he quoted me $525 to replace it. The other company simply added a step to the side concrete, anchored the new form to the house, recoated original step and charged me $200. Their cost on the garage step was similar but they made it extra wide, so we can fully step out on it. I guess what I'm saying is there is more than one way to fix concrete, and Glen only does it the expensive way. If you have a large budget (I would have had to allot $8000.00), then yes, go for it. I also had concerns that all the drilling of the front patio would affect cracks in basement wall on that side and re-open them and queried Glen re that in the email (no response). Glen does not respond well (if at all) to emails, so remember to call. I think that he does great work, but remember it's only replacement work. He's not going to offer you any kind of "fixing" it work. I've learned through watching the other mason work, that concrete is fixable, also, by a home owner. It's fascinating watching him mix colours to match whatever imperfection needs patching. I now have fixed some low places and cracks in my garage floor myself!!

Mike came out to our house and finished a hand brush / crack fill in less than 20 minutes. The price was extremely reasonable, actually much less than we were expecting. 09/24/25 - My front stair was in need of repair. My existing stair has a concrete base. The…read moreexisting concrete stair was covered w/an epoxy finish w/aggregate embedded in the epoxy base. Over the years the base started to chip & deteriorate. I was suppose to have the original contractor come out & refinish the coat every year or every other year, unfortunately this company went out of business. I saw an ad for a different type of flooring w/a polyaspartic base coat which is suppose to be more durable than epoxy. After an estimate & deposit was made w/Comer & Cross came out started grinding the existing coat off. After an hour of grinding my stair they told me they couldn't do the job because a corner of the concrete was chipped and they don't do concrete work. WTF? After I went through this fiasco w/Comer & Cross. My buddy told me about JL Concrete Design in Addison. I called them and spoke to Julia who was very helpful & friendly. She sent Joe out to take a look at the stair the next day. After inspecting the stair he gave me a quote, scheduled a repair. Joe came out as planned & finished the stair in less than1 day.

Owner is now backtracking his original statements trying to avoid any responsibility. For $4,000 this is shoddy workmanship. Insanely overpriced for a resurfacing job (less than an inch of concrete) that didn't even last half a year. I DO NOT recommend this company.
