Doesn't take care in the workmanship. Doesn't fix the mistakes they make or correct them. Called numerous times. Put up wrong vents but won't replace them with the right ones. Sent quote for replacement of vents but I have to pay. I already paid for them, but got the wrong ones. One vent is not over the hole and needs to be repositioned. Have mold because of this. I had used Advanced for a repair a few years ago, and asked them to come out recently to check out a suspected leak. They inspected my roof and suggested that I contact my homeowner's insurance company for suspected hail damage. Long story short, the insurance company covered the loss. I received a quote from the owner Larry Savage to have two standing seam metal roofs put on my bay windows - He quoted the job at $3900 - When I called to ask some follow-up questions, I was told "Boy you sure ask a lot of questions!" I asked 3 or 4 questions - one of which was - Do you give a discount for cash? I also asked whose metal roof product they were going to install. I never received a response to ANY of my questions. I have to thank them for showing me upfront how they treat their potential customers! On top of that my other quotes were for $3600 for the EXACT same job and those contractors answered ALL of my questions. Maybe I should have given them 5 stars for letting me know that they are NOT the contractors I will be using!! read more

I called Advanced Roofing for a repair. During the estimate, Matt Savage was prompt and knowledgeable. However, when it came time to actually repair my roof, these guys are the flakiest people to walk the face of the earth. Their office called me on Friday to tell me that they would begin work on Monday. I took Monday off to be there for the repair. No one showed in the morning. No one from their office called me or emailed me. I had to call them to find out they wouldn't show up on Monday. Instead, they said they would come out late afternoon the next day Tuesday. The next day, I take another day off work to be there. I even call their office at 10 AM to confirm. They say they will be there between 4 PM and 5 PM. I wait til 6 PM. NO SHOW TWO DAYS IN A ROW. Absolutely no contact from their office whatsoever. I call their office AGAIN, but their office closes at 5 PM. I leave a message telling them I want to cancel the repair. I call them up the day after that. No one picks up the phone. I keep calling their office. Finally, Larry, apparently the president and owner, calls me back saying that the repair is canceled. He says it matter of factly. He doesn't care. He doesn't even apologize to me. I ask him to email me a signed confirmation of cancellation of the contract. He says I have to wait until Stacy gets in, between 9 AM and 12 PM! Can you believe this? How flaky can one company be? It doesn't matter if these guys are the best roofers in the world. They fail at step one. THEY DON'T SHOW UP TO DO THE WORK. Worst customer service I have ever experienced or witnessed. Don't waste your time with these guys like I did. Also, these guys have an empty office in Naperville but everything is based out of Yorkville, 20 miles west. So if you think these guys are local, they are not. Again, don't waste your time on these people. They are not worth a second of it. read more

I have an older roof on a home that Sat for some years as a foreclosure. I scheduled some repairs right as winter began and we had to wait for the weather to clear up for them to work on it. It was a mild winter this year and they came out quickly and got the job done. It looks great and they even replaced some missing soffit pieces and you can't even tell they are replacements! I'm really happy with the work they did and would recommend them to anyone. I got a quote from them and had to go in and sign their contract. They said they would let me know when they were available. After 3 weeks, I started calling them. They said they were going to have a company meeting and get back to me the next day. They didn't. I called them the following day. I spoke with Larry and he told me that they basically under bid the quote and that they were simply going to walk away from the contract! Wow! Professional! I would have liked to have known that three weeks ago. Now my roof has been covered by a lousy blue tarp for 5 weeks and I need to start over with another quote. read more

I had an appointment with Don however when he didn't show up I called and was told an error was made on the schedule and my appointment was moved to the next day but I wasn't contacted. He did show up the next day and gave me a quote of 200 dollars to replace 6 shingles (I do have extra shingles). I agreed to this price but was never contacted. If this business doesn't want to do small jobs they should be upfront and tell prospective customers. We like to support businesses in our community but not when they treat customers in this manner. Had a appointment scheduled 1 week in advance with this company to come out and inspect my roof for a water leak from my roof, they called to move my appointment a little later in the day and then never showed up, I called the office and someone came out later the same evening and said they would email me the estimate in 2 days, that never happened and after repeated calls to their office the following week I still have not received my estimate, I have given up on this roofing company and have decided to take my business elsewhere, if you don't want my money I will give it to someone else that does, I do not recommend this company for roofing repairs... read more

These guys came out to the house twice, once for the estimate (Matt) and another time to answer questions (Larry). They were the most reasonably priced out of the 5 estimates I had and they spent a lot of time talking to me about the job. They did a complete tear off and replaced my roof in a day and a half. The crew of 9 were the hardest workers I had ever seen, they worked together like a smooth running machine. There was no playing around here! The cleanup was very complete thanks to Hector and they were very conscientious about not damaging anything; gutters, landscaping, etc. Sam was the crew supervisor and was very responsive to my questions and concerns! I've used Advanced Roofing several times for repairs to my home due to wind damage. Every time I call them they show up, and get the problem fixed before the next round of weather. Last time they were out I had 3 shingles blow off. They not only replaced the missing shingles but also went to the other side of my house and gathered the missing shingles from my gutter. read more

We had many issues with advanced. 1st, when we planned for them to do roof repairs they showed up the week we told them not too. It took them two phone calls and three weeks to get them back. After they repaired our roof it leaked. Had drywall damage that needed to be replaced. When they came out to fix the leak they informed me it was the two shingles next to what the replaced. When I asked why the bad shingles wernt replaced the first time, since the we're next to the other damaged shingles I did not get an answer. Would not use or recommend this company. read more

I was very pleased with the whole experience with Advance Roofing. We received an estimate within 2 days of the on-site visit. The on-site visit was done by Larry, the owner of Advance. He was very thorough in his inspection and the quote was done in a very professional manner. The job was for a complete tear off of our old roof with a new bathroom vent installed. They told us that the job was to be done in one day, and it was! Their crew was very professional, and the clean up was fantastic. We found no debris on our property. Our neighbor across the street from us had Advanced Roofing put a new roof on a few years ago and they did a great job. We had about 10 shingles blow off our roof last November and we called our insurance company for a claim. They recommended a new roof as ours was 20 yrs. old. We called a couple of roofing companies in the area and got estimates. One in Plano kept pushing a certain brand of shingles , which we researched later and found out they are the lowest rated shingle you could buy. Advanced Roofing came out and we got a quote on the repair of missing shingles and a new roof. We did the repair first and decided to wait until spring to do the new roof because of the cold weather coming. They were very nice and came out on a Saturday to fix the shingles. We paid them for that, which was then deducted from the price of the new roof. The roof was done March 15th and no problems at all with it, and it looks great! Also they finished within the day because of bad storms predicted later that day. They even removed the dumpster that day as it was blocking our garage and our not yet 2 yr old truck was outside. We were worried about hail damage on it later . The girl in the office and the foreman on the job said they would get it removed later that day and they did!!! Everyone has been so nice and we had no problems with them . Everything was cleaned up after they left and we were very happy with the job they did.
