Hubby ended up with his lower back going out while traveling in the Phoenix area. Checked out insurance to find a preferred provider & found Dr. Drew Richetto, DC, CSCS at the Advanced Spine & Pain Center. We were able to an appointment within a couple of days & after 4 visits found relief of the pain. Dr. Richetto was extremely professional & did an excellent job adjusting hubby's back. I really appreciated that more visits weren't "needed " as relief was achieved fewer visits not long drawn out visits. The office staff were friendly & professional. read more

I have varicose vein symptoms and went to the ASAP Gilbert office for help. The doctor was Dr. Marc Eckhauser, and he was in my insurance network. The initial office visits were comforting and promising. The staff members were friendly. The doctor seemed to know what should be done and had confidence. Then, things started to become interesting. They got my insurance to approve two varicose vein surgeries. The first one on my right leg was scheduled on May 12, 2026. Before the surgery, an ASAP nurse called me to fast. Then, on May 12, I was led into the surgery room and changed my clothes. The doctor poked my leg, looked at the inspector screen, and then said that my leg veins were small, and I was dehydrated. So, I had to reschedule the surgery for May 29, 2026. On May 29, the doctor tried to perform the same surgery on my right leg. He attempted several times but failed to even start the anesthesia. Eventually, he told me that my veins were small and the surgery should never have happened at the beginning! This is very disappointing after several office visits, diagnoses, MRI scans, and surgical attempts (both failed)! My insurance covered most of the cost, but I did pay a portion out of pocket. From both healthcare and financial perspectives, my experience with ASAP was frustrating. I burned a hole in my pocket without mitigating my varicose vein symptoms for even a little bit. read more

ASAP = Advance Spine and Profit. It's a procedure mill, the new version of a pill mill. They hide costs behind pages and pages of legal forms on an iPad. That plus the undisclosed facility fees as you walk from one office to the next door one. The care quality is OK if they weren't more focused on the profits. They ordered any tests they could, and kept calling me every two weeks to do another injection without asking if the first one even worked. Shop around - same procedure they charge you/your insurance over $1200 for you can have done for less then $200, with no facility fees. read more

I have been out of work for 3 months because you failed to safely prep access to my left hip prior to my steroid injection. Two days later I was unable to walk because my left hip was infected. Your facility was too busy to properly clean my left groin site and more concerned with moving the next patient through. $$$$ I find this incredibly disgusting!!! I've been seeing Dr. Turley at advanced spine and pain for at least 12 years. I would come on from work curled up in a ball sobbing in pain only to get a few hours of sleep and go back to work to flare it all up again. We started slow with just a little bit of Cortizone shot, and we've worked our way up to doing the radio frequency ablation every 6 to 9 months. I think Dr. Turley every time because I know I will never have to deal with that kind of pain again. Everything they've done has made my life better. read more

their patient portal never worked. They gave Simon Med the wrong insurance so my stat MRI had to be rescheduled. They dont answer ANY OF THEIR PHONE LINES. You have to leave a message, text or email the office! They gave misinformation or no information about a surgical procedure I'm supposed to have in 3 days. I arrange medical transport to a sedation procedure. 2 days before my procedure they tell me I need a family member with me. I don't have a family member to go with me, or I wouldn't have needed medical transport. This surgical procedure was scheduled a week and a half ago. No one told me I would need a family member with me when they made 2 surgical appointments for me. Again, no communication or information was provided. Now I have no PT referral, which is standard protocol for degenerative disc disease, I had to ask for anti inflammatory/pain meds from the doctor, my surgeries had to be cancelled because I have no family member to take me. I cant walk or stand straight for going on 4 weeks. Run as fast as you can to a different provider. I rate them a zero! read more

1star Unable to get an appointment at Mayo, I was sent by my Mayo PCP to ASAP to see a specific Mayo trained doctor to do a Cervical Radiofrequency Ablation on both sides of my neck. If someone suggests ASAP, run away as fast as you can. I think an army field hospital would give you greater confidence than this surgery center. The office staff is unpleasant, and often incompetent. They sent me to the wrong office, cancelled multiple appointments, had broken machinery. All of which made my original provider unavailable. ASAP is incredibly legally focused, with forms requiring completing every time. I was shocked entering the procedure area where the grey tables were sanitized with some liquid. Of course, I had significant pain well after it should have healed. I was told that I was one of 10% who got neuritis after the procedure. I am still in pain, having trouble turning my head of lying down This may be the worst medical experience I've had in Arizona. read more

I had a great experience with ASAP in Mesa and Gilbert, both with the Clinical and office staff. I had quick follow up, good communication and quality care for my cervical and lumbar procedures. I had my question answered immediately by Dr Currie, excellent response time in the message and notes on the portal. I had the same experience with Dr Mayuran. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I only did 4 stars rather than 5 because the wait time on my visits tends to be at least 25-30 minutes past the scheduled appointment time even though I follow the 45-minute advance arrival. Definitely recommend these 2 providers and offices. I did not have a great experience at the Greenway office or Dr Luke. The Doctor was polite and seemed knowledgeable, but I was nervous and felt rushed through office visit with confusion when I left of what was next. I was also surprised that there were not vitals check or thorough information gathered prior to the visit. I tried to follow up with reading the information in the portal but there were no notes to read in my portal to double check my memory of the visit and no response to text, messages in the portal or voicemail and over 3 weeks to get the follow up orders for x-ray that he had recommended. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! They charged me a $250 copay for a back brace prior to surgery that you can buy online (EXACT same one) for $99. They billed the insurance company $1314 for this back brace. I have been fighting with ASAP to refund money. Still waiting. They are ripping off my insurance company and me! They push injections. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER SHOULD YOU DEAL WITH THEM!! I explained it to her and told her I haven't slept in nights and that I knew what to take and it was caused by the procedure for it which was Bupronorphone she refused me with an attitude. If I could give this medical group Zero Stars I would, was referred to them for a post accident back evaluation by my attorney. Arrived 30 minutes before my appointment as I was told too to do paper work in early am. Found office closed, and finally staff arrived to open office almost5 1/2 hour late. Then I waited for doctor to arrive being first patient in early am. Kept asking staff if they had heard from doctor who never showed up. I left a half hour after my appointment time, as the doctor never arrived. Apparently the doctor did not inform staff why they were late. Very unprofessional way to make first impression, treat patient, and staff. Would never ever recommend this medical group to anyone. I now understand how the famous comicRodney Dangerfield felt went he said, "I get no respect". read more

I had a microdistectomy a couple weeks ago , Dr Luke did my surgery and he did an amazing job! I had immediate relief. Not completely gone but i can't expect that when I had bad sciatica pain for over 6 months. So it's gonna take time. I am extremely happy with the entire process. Stay away! Very judgmental and unprofessional. They try to schedule unnecessary procedures, their procedures are trial and error, poor communication, everything wrong with this place. For example, they scheduled me for a procedure that involved a shot in the spine. I asked if my being on blood thinners was a problem and was told no. I showed up for the procedure, and was told they couldn't do it because of the blood thinners, and I still had to pay for the office visit. They want you to schedule unnecessary office appointments, and will withhold pain meds if you don't comply. This place will only add to your nightmare. read more

I came to ASAP with a myriad of diagnoses that led to working with the team to try out Spinal Cord Stimulation. ASAP uses a TEAM of people that are efficient and committed to communicating with each other to provide the best care. When I walk into the clinic in Goodyear, they KNOW me, they KNOW my condition, they KNOW what is in my chart and they do everything they can to make procedures run as smoothly as possible. I just completed the trial for a SCS. Having had a neck fusion already, I was a bit apprehensive, but after trying medications, injections, physical therapy, aquatic therapy, I was at the end of the checklist. Care Sylvius, the Patient Relationship Manager does all the legwork for you, is kind, knowledgeable and gets things done. Dr. O'Neil has been treating me since I came to ASAP. He is awesome and everything I look for in a doctor: professional, compassionate, efficient, honest, experienced, but most of all, I TRUST him. Once I had the temporary SCS procedure, Aaron from Abbott (manufacturer of the device) called every day to see how I was doing. He allowed me to vent my successes and frustrations. He was consistent from day 1, was honest and was there to guide me through. He genuinely cares about people improving their lives. Rebecca, the surgery scheduler is a superstar! She really has her stuff together in multi-tasking, and getting the pre-procedure requirements scheduled, orders sent and documentation uploaded into your chart. Linda, the receptionist is so efficient and calm. Everyone in the practice is kind and know what their are doing. The practice in Goodyear is a well-oiled machine of excellence. To the people who have left negative reviews, here is some peer advice: Patients also have a responsibility to check your insurance benefits and coverage. Do your homework and research. Unethical, Negligent, Manipulative Provider's giving an ultimatum on pain RX only if Procedures were set up. On a pt who has A RARE COMPLEX NEUROLOGICAL CASE. In which my Barrow's team and other specialists won't clear me for procedures due to unknown risk of harm and complications. Dr Sain. I would never let touch me after the horrific Appt I had in which he interrogated me regarding thing's that had nothing to do with my need's. He literally dismissed me, didn't listen, state" oh it's just arthritis " I have been disabled from a multi level lumbar spinal fusion with cadaver bones and cages. Then going blind 4x. And now have multiple diagnoses including arthritis which is one of the least causes of my severe pain. He even neglected my knee I now need surgery on. I have a fabulous orthopedic surgeon. The Dr had zero medical records: My Records I offered to give him and he had nothing to do with. Rejecting them. Spondylosis, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, spinal stenosis, IIH, cervical imaging showing c5, C6, abnormalities, lumbar, showing abnormalities, thoracic. Degenerative disc disease. And autoimmune, autonomic system firing all off causing multiple complications, Dysautonomia POTS, Electrolyte Imbalance, I have a chest port central line to infuse lactose ringer's at home 6x a week. Palliative Care, Caregiver, IV port RN seen weekly. All his medical records, ( lack of) were not up to date nor recent. You cannot give a proper care plan nor correct RX if you don't have this information. Therefore care is negligent. I would definitely Not recommend Him. Dr Delatte. They wanted me to go online three days prior to coming in as a new patient and fill out some records. It takes them that long to get them into their computer. I got to the office for my first visit about 15 minutes before my appointment she asked me to reschedule because I had to fill out the forms for being a new patient. I said if you had looked at your records before telling me to reschedule, you will see that I filled the forms in last night. She said I still had to reschedule because they needed to be in their computer and the only way to do that is to be in the office or having someone put them in that takes about three days. I told them I wasn't interested in their facility at all. The forms were very lengthy, and they asked many questions, in different sections, about if you are a male or a female, or you have changed your sex, on and on and on. Have been a patient here for almost 2 years. We were able to find a treatment for my pain (peripheral neuropathy). Now i see them for maintenance as needed. Very happy patient here. read more

Chiropractor offices forces you to pay up front before even being seen and promises to refund you when the insurance pays. They then charge your insurance, gets paid and then makes it impossible to get your refund. They never initiated my refund a month later so i called and they told me i would get it through my credit card now 3 months later they tell me they sent it by mail in sept when i first called and will have to wait again for another. Agent even joked about the mail system being slow even though with advances in shipping it is possible to send via expedited shipping so no longer a valid argument. Its their system that is slow and that is non of my concern considering it has already been 3 months and no refund and they refused to see me without paying them first. Even though all they had to do was call my insurance and confirm my benefits and see if met my max out of pocket. read more

Dr Turley is awesome!!! He truly does do "Pain Management ". I felt no pain as he sedated me thru both procedures not just a gentle lidocaine like SOME doctors. I had one procedure on my lumbar and one on my neck. This is the ONLY way to do PAIN MANAGEMENT. There's NO need for pain if your doctor truly cares like Dr Turley!!! read more

The administrative personnel at this organization show a level of incompetency that is has truly overwhelmed me. I have been in healthcare for 33 years and have a masters degree in healthcare administration so when I write this it is not as an uneducated consumer. I have not been able to gain access to the patient portal and after eight calls (four of which I was hung up on) I still have not been able to speak with anyone who can help with acquiring access. I was told however that if I drive to one of the facilities I can fill out a release form and get copies of my medical records. That however is not the solution I was requesting. I want to be fair and state that Dr. Leathem is fantastic and the nurses and surgical personnel were wonderful. read more

After 2 months I switched care. I was never even offered any pain medicine. I thought pain management was what they do. My 2 visits were rushed and pretty much lack of attention . I had x ray record for them on first visit yet I don't think it was even looked at . I was waiting for MRI for weeks. When I did get it I was not called. I had. Called and wait time for call is always 20 minutes and more. Every time. Even to set up first appt. That was my first red flag. I gave benefit of doubt. Really busy perhaps? Yet always a long wait. I called Simon med got MRI results myself. Had EMG and results were never discussed. Follow up appt! For what? More money? Lack of communication , answered calls, no pain management!! The entire time I hurt terribly. Falls from balance falls from sharp pain that dropped me. I mentioned on first visit and again on phone with Nicole and at follow up. Nothing done! Weeks of this. My regular MD did more before referring me to spine Dr. I can say Celeste is the only one who follows through. I still have not gotten results from ultrasound. 2 weeks!! When I Was told 1 week. Jason Nielson was also good. He did EMG. Said he'd talk to MCMurrdie. Yet My follow up was of no info to me on it. Do I have neuropathy ? I do not recommend. My new clinic is great. Communication is awesome, Dr. Really listens, pain med given and a game plan in the works. I slept For 6 hours. First time in months!. I thank Advanced Spine for giving me the opportunity to see abrazo Spine. I wouldn't have done that without you. read more

The doctors are fantastic but their back office is a disaster. Poor communication and billing errors. Their anesthesia contractor is a nightmare to work with, they balance bill you after insurance. They arent supposed to but the do it anyway. That part is very sketchy we want to stay but the back office is a turnoff. Hopefully you guys will get it together. read more

I had an medial branch block injection from Dr. Hatgis and within a few days the pain and area it covered were 10 times worse than I ever experienced. It almost incapacitated me!. Even after addressing what was going on they told me that this is why I needed a second set of injections that I believe were done by another doctor. I had that done but opted out for the radio frequency ablation. I never went back after that! The severity lasted for months and although it's not as bad now, I'm still in worse shape than went I originally went in. The practice isn't any better...felt like I was on a get him to surgery train! read more
