Beware of this practice. They tried to do a normal cleaning when they had charged us for a deep cleaning.

I just wouldn't if I were you…read more I went here for about a year. Twice I had a series of very expensive dental appointments for which I paid out of pocket and then had tremendous difficulty getting reimbursed. The pattern was the same both times. I would receive notice from my insurance company that a claim had been paid. Then, allowing for time for the check to arrive in the mail, I would inquire about reimbursement. I was told it had not arrived. So I would inquire again the following week or two and so on until 4-6 weeks had elapsed. I would check periodically with the insurance company to make sure I was understanding correctly. This discrepancy in the facts represented by the insurance company versus their records generated no curiosity whatsoever in the accounting staff (Heidi.) I didn't seem to be able to speak directly to her as she always seemed to be unavailable when I asked. At one point I asked for a 3-way conversation between myself, the office staff and the insurance company. This seemed like the obvious, logical and perhaps only way to resolve the conundrum. But I was told, "We don't do that." From the perspective of a patient who has charged over $5000 on a credit card for dental care, has a payment coming due, the reimbursement seems to be in permanent limbo and there is no apparent effort being made to resolve the matter. The situation and attitude seemed to me to be that they didn't care that I was caught in the middle of a situation where the facts are in dispute and that I'll get a check when they're good and ready. I was just supposed to take their word for it in spite of repeated evidence to the contrary. I was not allowed to speak to the decision-makers directly. The poor receptionist had to bear the brunt of it all and she got quite upset, complaining until I was banned from the office. This though I never raised my voice or insulted anyone. I'm not sure how long it is ethical or legal to hold onto someone's money in such situations. Go to a dentist where they bill the insurance companies directly. This office is way out of touch with their patients if they think they all have the luxury of waiting who-knows-how-long to be reimbursed. They don't want anyone to be angry or upset in their office, yet they fail to perceive how their incompetence and obfuscation is the source of the trouble. Anyway, if someone is angry about how they are being treated, wouldn't you want to know and know why? Not these folks, apparently. They look at this situation as "I'm glad that angry guy is not coming back to our office" instead of "too bad we dropped the ball on reimbursements and needlessly alienated a patient." Not worth dealing with them.

I found the dentist to be unfriendly and NOT kind at all. I expressed my concern about the staff…read morenot wearing their masks and NOT being vaccinated. It's clear that the dentist is NOT concerned about anyone but himself. I will look to some other provider for the service that was not found at Dr. Harbolt's office.

I've honestly never had an experience like this before…read more Our kids had dental appointments scheduled, and the office canceled them because we didn't reply to an automated text message. We were never told that not responding would automatically cancel the appointments, and when we asked about the policy, they couldn't provide any paperwork showing we'd ever been given or agreed to it. The really frustrating part is that my wife left work early and drove all the way from Medford to pick up our kids, only to find out the appointments had already been canceled. Nobody called us, left a voicemail, or even sent a text saying they had canceled them. I'm a healthcare provider myself, and I've never seen a practice cancel appointments just because someone didn't respond to a confirmation text. Reminder texts are one thing, but canceling an appointment without notifying the patient is another. We wasted time, lost work, and our kids missed the care they were supposed to receive because of poor communication.

If you schedule here, make sure you double check several times before appointment. They will change the appointment without letting you know. We came to Hill Dentistry completely by accident--and I truly mean that. My wife had a serious fall…read morethat resulted in significant damage to her mouth, including the loss of several teeth. After getting through the emergency room and beginning the overwhelming search for a dentist, Dr. Hill's office was the only one that called us back--and the only one that could see her right away. What followed was a long and careful process to rebuild an upper bridge and replace missing teeth, and throughout it all Dr. Hill and his entire staff were exceptional. They are kind, patient, and genuinely caring, always willing to explain, help, and make what could have been a stressful experience feel manageable and humane. Because of that experience, I eventually became a patient myself--despite having severe dental anxiety. As a kid, I once totaled our family car... crashing into a car that happened to belong to our dentist at the time. Let's just say the dental work that followed left a lasting impression. So walking into a dental office is not easy for me. That said, I recently had a deep cleaning, a cracked tooth repaired, and a damaged crown fixed--and I can honestly say it was amazing. It was calm, professional, and almost entirely painless. For someone with real dental fear, that's saying a lot. Dr. Hill's team is hands-down the kindest and gentlest dental staff I've ever encountered. If you're nervous, in pain, or dealing with a complicated dental situation, this is the place you want to be. I can't recommend Hill Dentistry highly enough.

When I got to the counter to check out I almost fell over when they told me the price. $429.00 for 10 mins and some glue?!?!? That is just totally insane! It's a nice office and they give out chapstick but that is just ridiculous!
