I have had numerous problems with both the Bend and Sisters Advantage Dental. Cancelled appointments, calls not returned, Extremely rude receptionists. I didn't have a problem with the Sisters office until my May appointments was cancelled with no explanation, just an email. When i called to reschedule i was told i never left a message. ( i left two messages). There is an awful person working in the Sisters Dental office that is over the top rude. Clients should not be left to deal with these poorly trained, abusive girls who lie and don't know what they're doing. read more

In my case very long delays in getting basic maintenance for teeth. Bad teeth from childhood but they all seen no big hurries so needless to say not a fan & not a good experience thus why dentures but even this has taken 3 months to get exam just to end up pulling them out anyways. Many inexperienced ppl. Wrong info, don't know, long wait times etc.. ( not included in this piece, private dentists). Review only for advantage clinics. Best wishes. read more

Just find another Dentist service. Very poorly run. No hygienist for months. Don't return calls. There Dentist seem to come and go. Went through 3 Dentist in my time there. Then they couldn't find a Hygienist for months. I finally had to find a new provider just to get my teeth cleaned. Won't be going back. read more

I called the central booking location for Advantage Dental in December to schedule an appointment at the Sisters, OR location and was booked an initial appointment for xrays and an exam in February. When I showed for my appointment (no one called 24 hours prior to confirm my appointment), I was told my appointment had been made for the Madras office. I rescheduled and when I showed up two weeks later, the office attendant told me they had no record at all this time for an appointment. I rescheduled again and finally got xrays and an initial exam. Because the xrays showed a cavity, I scheduled an appointment three weeks later which was canceled as the dentist needed to go out of town. Three weeks later, the appointment was canceled again as the dentist needed to take the afternoon off. To sum up, after waiting five months and going through four canceled or lost appointments, I'm going to Sisters Dental who were able to see me the next day after I called. I understand the issues that COVID is causing but this is simply bad, customer service. read more

Advantage is a fitting name for this company. Not because it's any kind of advantage whatsoever doing business with this shady organization, but because they will take advantage of you if you go here. So here's my story, I chipped my front tooth back in July and decide to go here since they're the only dentist in central Oregon that accepts Oregon health plan insurance so I give them a shot. There were some tell tale signs that I should have avoided them.. Like when I told the dentist that I didn't want any fluoride products to be used in my mouth because fluoride is a byproduct of chemical waste and calcifies your pineal gland (ruins your conscious connections to higher spirituality if you're into all that) and he argued that he's the dentist and he knows more about fluoride than me and blah blah blah. I get my temporary tooth on and was charged over $400 for it which they admitted was a huge overpay. Then they wouldn't let me schedule the thing that I came to them for which was a new permanent crown because they had to do A, B, C, D, so on first. I didn't think they were lying to me, so I went along with the plan. Get my teeth cleaned first (which took forever because there was no hygienist initially so I had to wait months just to do their step A.) All in the while they keep pushing the date of the actual crown molding back further and further and further. They made me go to their bend office to get teeth X-rays which I feel like was a completely unnecessary step and that's my problem with this company. They won't just do the damn thing you ask them to do without making you jump through all of these unnecessary hoops. (and nickel and dimming you or your insurer with every chance they can possibly get.) Then one day at work I get a call from the doctor dentist lady telling me she went through my X-rays and wants to pull my wisdom teeth out which I never asked for, and she's trying to force me to say yes while also trying to schedule it right then and there WHEN I STILL DON'T HAVE A DAMN CROWN AFTER LIKE 6 MONTHS. Doctor Dentist lady, if you're reading this, and you intentionally make your patients jump through all of these unnecessary hoops to make your business or your wallet more money, then you should be ashamed of yourself. I don't think the workers there have bad intentions though. They're nice and they do good work but it's everything else that makes this place miserable. Is it just advantage dental policy to railroad their patient's and to try and steal every dollar from you that they possibly can? Meanwhile my brother actually chips his tooth (same tooth) and I know his teeth weren't any better than mine, but he goes to sisters dental and doesn't have to deal with any of this. He got his new crown installed in under a month while I'm still about 2 months away from the crown molding appointment FOR SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED IN JULY. Today I went to advantage because my temporary crown they keep giving me instead of the real one falls off for like the 4th time and they have no openings all week. So I went and checked out Sisters Dental, got my crown molded that day, and am getting it installed quicker than when advantage was just going to take the mold. This is why advantage has a 1 star rating and Sisters Dental has a 4.5 star rating. If people with Oregon health plan weren't forced to go here, this company would be out of business. read more

I moved to Sisters, Oregon from another state. At my first visit to this office they did a set of full mouth x-rays. My previous dentist always checked my benefits before performing any work. They did not call Metlife Dental nor did they ask me when I last had x-rays. I am now stuck with rhe $91.00 bill. I called the office and the office manager offered nothing more than it's my responsibility. No explanation as to why they did not check my benefit or ask me when I had my last set of x-rays. Metlife said it is pretty much industry standard to cover these every 5 years. They are in the business and most likely know this. In addition they have old equipment and hurt ne when doing the x-rays. I will not go back and cannot recommend this office. There should never be any procedure conducted especially as a new patient without them knowing if it is covered. read more
