When I have dental insurance, I've been coming here. I moved for a time and experienced another…read moredentist, which was totally great as well. After coming back here, I've noticed some changes. Yeah, they could update their office a bit - but if it works, it works. My issue is that, upon returning, I've had a newer dentist that doesn't have bedside manner. Very gruff, short and to the point, and not really explanatory. I can be alright with that if you're competent and good at your job. But, in the times I've been, it seems like he goes out of his way to activate my gag reflex. Yes, I have one and I warn people about it - but if you're in my mouth and then just start wriggling around, of course I'm going to gag. What was the reason for you to start doing that? And, if there is a reason, let me know - part of a gag reflex is a control thing. Also, if I've just gagged, don't ask if you can try again 10 seconds later - there's a process to gain composure and it takes time. I've worked with a bunch of dentists. The best ones operate on a consent model - "I'm going to do this now, okay?" is a very clear and powerful question. It makes the process easier and it is communicative. The hygienists here are usually pretty good. Friendly and probably trying to make up for the fact that they have someone who doesn't relate to patients well. Cleanings have been generally pretty good for me in the past few years. Quick, easy, and I'm out. I miss Dr. Burgler! Lastly, I sent in a payment a month ago yet got a reminder bill for the same payment. I'm pretty sure it's their office not processing the payment quick enough - not me having never sent a payment. So, how about a chill?

I've always been happy with Dr. Bob's - until today. Scheduling has been so difficult. I tried via…read morethe website & that doesn't work. No available appointments. Ugh!

I've been a patient of North Buffalo Dental Group for the past 5 years. During that time I have had…read morea cavity filled, a crown repaired, many cleanings, and in the past year had a tooth pulled (the more difficult to extract molar). The work Dr. Vogt performed has consistently been pleasant and professional and I've experienced similar quality care from the hygienists and administrative staff. In my experience Dr. Vogt is one of those modern dentists that has the know-how to eliminate the pain and discomfort common to procedures performed by less skilled dentists. If that was not the case I would have sought a different dentist 4 plus years ago and been swift to find another dentist to extract my difficult molar. Additionally, they are quite easy to deal with. For instance, I made an unprofessional mistake of forgetting and thus missed an appointment. Instead of giving me a hard time they but mentioned mistakes happen and rescheduled my appointment. Per Giselle M.'s negative review. Although I don't condone unprofessional service I have a likely explanation for her experience. Giselle's complaint was when she called to schedule an appointment the office staff could not find a record she had been there once before (for a teeth cleaning). As proof of her previous visit Giselle stated she had been to a dental office near Walgreen's and Kostas. As there is another dental office within the same half block of Hertel Ave as North Buffalo Dental, with both offices near Walgreen's and Kostas, I suspect Giselle's past visit was to the other dental office. Thus the reason North Buffalo Dental could not find a record Giselle had been there before. That theory seems accurate as the exit procedure at North Buffalo Dental is not to instruct a patient to call to make a future appointment as Giselle experienced. Instead, when leaving North Buffalo Dental patients must check out at the front desk. While doing so they schedule future appointments such as cleanings and dental check ups and procedures. Regardless, to my way of thinking, calling her experience "by far the worst dentist you can ever come across in buffalo" and this is an "unbelievable horrible unprofessional place" simply because the receptionist could not find a record Giselle had been there once before (regardless that the receptionist endeavored to schedule her to an appointment) is more than a way-over-the-top overreaction.

Allentown Dental is the best. I've been coming here since around 2013, I believe. I started out…read morewith Dr. Weinman, who was my favorite dentist of all time (I have had about 12 dentists throughout my life). He had a fantastic bedside manner that put people at ease, was very gentle, and I liked that he never once tried to upsell me on procedures or treatments I didn't need. So, I was sad when I heard he was going to sell the practice, because I figured I'd never find another dentist who I liked. But then Dr. Korn came into the picture! I find her style to be very similar to Dr. Weinman. (Which makes sense, because if I am not mistaken, I believe he was her mentor?) Dr. Korn is fantastic. She takes time to answer questions, she has a gentle touch, and I trust her with pointy/loud tools in my mouth. She's done a fair bit of work on my teeth, including repairing a chip in my front tooth. I can't even remember where the chip was now, because it looks so natural and has held up to my (probably overly rough) flossing. There's great staff in this office, from the front desk to the hygienists. Cheryl, one of the hygienists, is wonderful. Great bedside manner, and she's also gentle. Plus, she is compassionate, which is important if you have any shame about the state of your teeth. (i.e., Let's just say you went through a period of deep clinical depression after miscarriages, so you only brushed your teeth once per week for 11 months ... she's not judgmental about cleaning your teeth after that neglect.) I cannot overstate how significant it is to have a nonjudgemental hygienist. Also, my husband has Lauren as his hygienist, and he absolutely loves the way she cleans his teeth. Bonus about this office: It is spotlessly clean and beautiful inside. Looks modern and upscale (but not pretentious), so that can help put you at ease. (You can know you're not going to be uncomfortable in some dingy old office with questionable stains on the carpet, dental chairs with weird odors, mouse droppings in the corner, and out-of-date dental equipment. I've been to a couple like that! LOL.)

It had been quite a while since I had last seen a dentist, let's just say that. I had noticed two…read moredifferent gray/dark areas on two of my lower teeth and was concerned about the little gap I could feel where the bottom of the tooth ended and where the gums began. First appointment was just an initial check-up and cleaning. The staff are all very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I was a bit nervous about my next appointment though, where the doc would get rid of that decay and fill it over. Never had a cavity in my life, now I'm 43 and it's all coming apart!! I went in for the fillings and wow, let me tell you - #1, I didn't even feel pain from the lidocaine injections given to numb you all up for the actual procedure. Just a bit of pressure. #2, I felt absolutely nothing during the actual removal work. And no, half my face wasn't out of commission nor did I drool or speak very incoherently lol. I do not have insurance, so I was pleasantly surprised by their prices. 10/10 will return as long as I live in this area!! NOT RELATED TO THE PLACE OF BUSINESS, JUST AN OBSERVATION FOR PEOPLE WITH NERVOUS HABITS---- However, I will warn any people with nervous habits that involve chewing or biting on your lips: the total numbness is going to cause you blisters the next day. I noticed myself doing it soon after the appointment and thought "OKAY you're going to have to stop doing that..." but alas, by the next day I had a weird looking sore on my lip where I bite it, pretty subconsciously, until now. Luckily that healed quick. But that's my own damn fault.

Finding a dentist office with great staff and that keeps on-time appointments seems to be a very hard task these days. I think i may have found those qualities in D & D dental Atmosphere Set in a large house, before you step inside your not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to see a full front desk and waiting room and three separate rooms with dental chairs in the back. It was full of old school dental office charm. The entire place gave off a feeling of coziness. The equipment is not your modern day technology that dental offices are equipped with now days. The equipment is definitely reminiscent of 90's, manual teeth scaling tool etc. However, I'm a firm believer in its not what you have but how you do it and my dental hygentist knew how to use her tools. Staff Front desk The front desk women are awesome. They were friendly, welcoming, seemingly happy with their jobs. They were all the things that seem to be lacking in today's office staff. Service was quick and i had virtually no wait time to check in. Dental hygienist My dental hygentist was Selena. I freaking love her. She actually talked to me, it wasn't just all business, which i appreciated. She even talked with me while she was scaling my teeth which i appreciated since at times it was a little painful (its the dentist) and it helped keep my mind off what she was doing. Dr. Martinez He is a funny guy. Again like the his staff, he was totally about customer service. He welcomed me to buffalo and was eagar to talk about all the things the city had to offer. Experience The whole experience was great! I enjoyed everything this dental office had to offer right from the start. l will be back for my 6 month cleaning and i highly recommend D & D dental!

I have not been here in several years since leaving the area. During the time I frequented D&D…read moredental I found the staff to be efficient, friendly, and invested in their patients. Dr. Martinez genuinely cares about his patients also which does go a long way. His warm demeanor and acceptance of my insurance almost entirely for all procedures had me continue to go there despite the fact that waiting for anything other than a cleaning was often an hour or more beyond the appointment time. That being said, having now been removed for several years, but still seeing dentists regularly, flossing, brushing and getting regular cleanings all of the work I had done there has deteriorated. My crown wasn't sealed and caused the tooth beneath to decay leading to a root canal and infection--- an infection that has been in the tooth long enough to calcify the roots; the fillings have fallen out broken or needed replacing. Several teeth that have been worked on have had to be repaired. While I understand that the fixes and fillings aren't permanent or guaranteed, they have all simultaneously started breaking down and seems to be too coincidental.
