I show up to my appointment and they said oh you never confirmed so we canceled it. Are you kidding me!!! I said I'd be there when I made the appointment and unless I call to cancel I'LL BE THERE!!! On top of that the receptionist went back and forth arguing with me on don't you have to confirm your appointments at other places...However this same place if you call to cancel the day before because your sick they won't let you. So glad I listened to my son and went to Hertel Family Dentistry! They were able to get me in for an appointment in a timely manner and fix my recently chipped tooth. They are reasonably priced and offer affordable payment plans if needed. My son is always going on about how they offer Perrier water while you wait and have fancy embossed dental cards. The care I received as a new patient was amazing. The office staff is friendly and makes you feel so welcomed. The office is clean and cozy! Will definitely be going back. read more

I was excited at the prospect of an appointment here, and called a few times to attempt to schedule an appointment. When I had to call back, my request for a new patient appointment was clearly an annoyance to the receptionist who was huffing and puffing on the phone about the fact that my work hours make it inconvenient for her to find an appointment. Not only that - but I was expecting a call back from the office and never received one. That would not have bothered me however the receptionist then lied to me and said they called me but I did not answer. If this is how they treat potential clients who have not even confirmed their service yet I can only imagine how poorly they treat their existing clients. PLEASE! Please believe me. I have always been afraid of the dentist, and I never even had a cavity until I had 40 years. I was terrified! Today was the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. To start, the Dentist cleaned my teeth. That has never happened to me before. I do not believe all dentists I have had would have been this great. They usually just checked my teeth, avoiding the miserable full cleaning, scaping with metal on my teeth. It was always a miserable experience. NOT TODAY. How did she do that? Is Dr. Sabiha magic? Today was by far, BY FAR the best experience, least obtrusive dental experience I have ever had. She cared for my teeth and gums from start to finish. So delicate, so soft. I was so excited I called my mother! I found out I have my second cavity ever, but I am not afraid. I am actually very confident to have my cavity taken care of by Dr. Sabiha Samad. I thank my dear wife for breaking her crown, us recently moving to the area, her not knowing where to go, and her choosing the closest dentist office to our dwelling. AMAZING! It is Dr. Sabiha's gentle approach- unobtrusive and unfrightening. Maybe they are teaching dentists different now days, with new technology and new methods. Maybe it is just Dr. Samad. I woke up the day of my appt feeling horrible, physically unable to get out of bed. I called the dentist to reschedule. I am a new patient and it was the first appt I was scheduled for. The woman told me she could not reschedule me as it is their policy to not reschedule if someone repeatedly cancels an appt. I told her I have never even been there, it was my first appt. She said "well then as a one time courtesy she would make an exception, but you need to remember we are a small business and our time is important". Listen, I am a small business owner as well, I am very aware of the implications it can cause when a client repeatedly cancels. But don't treat me like a child. Dr Samad is not only a perfectionist, but she's honest! Other dentists have told me I've had multiple cavities, but Dr Samad told me I'm clear. I've also been waiting to have my front tooth fixed since I've been 12, and she charged me 1/4 the price what other dentists have quoted me. Plus she did an amazing job (I cried when I saw the result). The staff is also extremely friendly, which makes the hassle of the dentist that much easier. Myself and sons have gone here for 2 years and our first visit was just fine, but the dentist kept pushing that my son go to her sister next door for braces even though we weren't interested. Our next visit I overheard the receptionist scolding one of the dental assistants about too long of a bathroom break asking him what he was doing in there... seemed inappropriate but I didn't know the context so I ignored it, just thought it wasn't ok to do in front of customers. Our next visit there was a new receptionist and the two gals were just talking shit about patients and that really put me off. You shouldn't do that in earshot of customers. And again a constant push to go to the sister for braces. This last time I ended up cancelling my visit bc I was out of town and when I entered the US I had over 30 messages from them "confirming" my appointment. I immediately replied and later that day got two more messages threatening to cancel me. While I appreciate curtesy reminders, I responded saying that was rude and not necessary, that I'd never missed an appointment and I had just spoken with them a few weeks ago to schedule. Instead of an apology I got arguments back 3 times. Then this person replied saying it was an automated message! Automated messages don't reply to the specific content of your text. I already was bothered by the employee harassment I witnessed to this poor dental assistant and put off that every customer that checked out and left was followed with a scathing review and laughed at by the front office staff, but the really rude customer service and pushing to go to the dentists family which was clearly not an objective opinion, just did it for me. Even if you don't agree with your customers you should make your policies clear and have good kind customer service. At very least don't talk about customers in front of other customers isn't that against medical guidance? Anyway I will not be going back to an office that's catty and unkind. read more

I am so happy I went to see Dr. Samad, after many years of not going to the dentist because of previous bad experiences with other dentists and lack of insurance. This was a refreshingly new experience. The whole staff is super friendly and welcoming. The interior decor and equipment are brand new, super clean and modern. I loved that Dr. Samad showed me my teeth x-rays and would explaining to me what the different shadows meant and or what I was looking at. No cavities, except for a very small one that she said since it was so small we could continue watching it instead of having to work on it right away. While doing my cleaning, it was the same experience, she would explain what she was doing. I felt very comfortable the whole time. During the cleaning, I was very happy to find out that what I was afraid could have been a root canal just ended been a previous dentist crappy job of a filling (my words, not hers). I was able to get an appointment for the very next day and once again had a great experience. She once again explained was she was doing and seeing her and her assistant work together passing tools back-and-forward without even saying a word was like watching two professionals dance. I would 100% recommend and have recommended this dentist to anyone that has been afraid to go to the dentist or has had previous bad experiences. Dr. Samad is the real deal. read more
