My husband, Mike, has been a patient at Advantage Dermatology for nearly two years. We had no idea where to go for care since we had lived overseas 20 years and were new to the area. Thankfully, our insurance company referred us here. I say thankfully, because we have found Dr. Perez and his staff to be caring and highly skilled. Unfortunately, Mike has to visit the office often due to extreme sun exposure growing up on the beaches in Florida; that's the bad news. The good news is that we LOVE Advantage Dermatology and Dr. Perez. With Mike's frequent visits, I often go with him. Not only do they take great care of him, they take great care of me and keep me in the loop as procedure/s are completed or what to anticipate next. I love the diversity of the staff and observing the interactions among the medical staff. I consistently hear please and thank you and observe a sincere display of respect towards one another. Silly to note this, but I find this is not a common practice in our world these days. My husband often says "leadership starts at the top" and we've seen that first hand via Dr. Perez. Although Dr. Perez's credentials are impressive, a degree from John Hopkins and numerous awards, he is conscientious, kind, skilled and very talented. The MOHS surgeries that he has performed on Mike have left no scaring, something we very much appreciate. I was recommended to this office by another one of my doctors and after reading the reviews I almost cancelled my appointment. I am very happy that I did not cancel and every visit has been great. I have been seen in a timely manner, staff has been wonderful and Dr. Perez is very knowledgeable with great bedside manners. I was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma in my forehead and had to have it removed. After recommendation, I elected the MOHS procedure and I just had my staples removed this morning and I am happy to say that I will have a very small barely visibly scar when it is done healing. I had a great experience. My son has been suffering with acne for most of his young adult life and they figured it out. The PA changed the meds he was on before and his dosage and now 6 weeks later no acne skin just some left over acne marks that she said would take a few months to clear up. He is so confident and happy now. How stressful for a college student to be dealing with severe acne and a mom that can not help. We finally got it! I was so nervous when I found out I needed Mohs surgery for a small skin cancer on my nose, but the team here put me at ease. The doctor explained every step in plain language and answered every question I had. The procedure itself went smoothly, and they made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The reconstruction looks so natural -- you can barely see a mark. The follow-up visits were just as professional and reassuring. First off, you walk in and the halfway is beautiful. There is a very upscale gym TFW of the left side of the main hall. Get to the second floor and I was greeted by the ladies at the front desk before exiting the elevator. I checked in and was brought back almost immediately after I completed the check in process. I was out in 35 minutes, going to the pharmacy now to pick up the meds. Hopefully it works fast. My PCP was unable to diagnose me so I was referred here. Dr. Sako's skill full touch, I felt nothing from the injection for numbing, didn't feel, to sewing up the wound no pain thru healing completely with barely a hint of a scar. That was on my left forearm the next month he had to do the same on fright arm. The only pain was I had to hit the brakes hard almost throwing my chihuahua to the floor board but I was able the grabe her but in doing so I hurt the right wound. They are professional, extremely customer centric, utilize the latest in technology, work with my schedule, basically they go the extra mile. If I could rate a zero I would- horrible customer service. They have policies they choose not to tell you about until you get there then reschedule the appointment because you don't bring notarized papers they didn't tell you were needed. The NP doesn't want to be bothered when the medication doesn't work. read more

This is a great dermatology clinic. The office staff are very courteous. I took my son in to have a scar treated and the nurse practitioner Jan was excellent.
