I'm surprised by the negative comments because my experience was very pleasant. If anything, Mike could have been very disgusted with my many questions and changes throughout this process. I even changed my mind a week before install causing him more work. They worked quickly doing hard work in the cold. Only thing I would request is to be kept up to date as to when they were going to arrive even tho they really didn't need me home. I will use them for the front of the house next. p.s. I think everyone has a neighbor who thinks they know more than the installers or chooses to plant things right on the lot line.... read more

I did not have a fence put in, but my neighbors did. The crew did an absolutely terrible job putting my yard back to the condition it was before they started the job. I was never notified that they would be coming onto my property and had to tell the crew to clean up after themselves and to stop trampling my planting in the landscaping. I made a call to the owner Mike, and when I told him I had a complaint and needed assistance in getting my property back to normal his response was, "I'm not having this conversation" and he then hung up on me. I would never use this company and expect better customer service from companies I use. Absolutely unacceptable. read more

Requested a quote for a fence and quickly received an email back stating that installs wouldn't happen until October and would that be ok. I told the person who emailed me that depending on the price quote and some other work (concrete and yard) happening at my property that the October time frame may work out. I received another email back asking if I was choosing who to go with on price because they use products that are higher in price. I then responded and said my decision not solely on price, but that definitely was a factor in my decision making process as it should be with any smart consumer. Thankfully, I haven't heard anything back from Advantage. Because of this crappy interaction I likely wouldn't have gone with them anyways. It's ridiculous that before even spending the time to quote a job that this company "vets" people's intentions and who is even worthy of their time for a quote. read more

We recently used Advantage Fencing and they were great! We even got confused about the type of fence they were putting in as we were trying to match the neighbors house. Mike came up with a great solution and ours looks even better and is built even better than our neighbors. I definitely recommend Advantage Fencing. AF installed a board on board fence for my corner lot property. First, I received the best price from AF. I scouted 5 fence companies in Omaha. AF offered the best price and used quality products. Second, Mike provided top notch customer service. I research everything and ask many questions. Mike patiently answered all of my questions (some 15-20 questions all asked in separate emails/phone calls). The work was promptly done as scheduled. Use AF. I would highly recommend Mike and the team. We had ~550ft of 6 foot board on board fencing. They aren't the most expensive and they are not the cheapest and are mid range in price. Mike is a local business man and owns the company, it is great to work with the owner and any issues are resolved (see below). He is fantastic to work worth and they do great work. We initially contracted out for a 4 foot, scalloped wooden picket fence. All agreed to and signed off, 3 weeks later (on time as we agreed) the show up to put the posts in. 6 days later (1 day before they were supposed to come out to finish it off) I get a call from our developer saying our 4 foot fence violates the covenants. I called Mike and put the project on hold. After mush disputes and legal advice we decided to back down from the developer (too costly to fight) and try and figure out how we could get a 6 foot fence put in (as per requirements). Mike came out and suggested a few different options and gave his recommendation (the less expensive of the options). The team came our and moved posts, turned 4 foot posts into 6 foot posts with reinforcement and a few days later came to put the boards on. The quality of work is outstanding, considering the debacle caused by the developer and changing covenants. Mike was great to work with through, the team is friendly and professional and I got value for money. I don't typically write reviews, I normally consume them, but this is my first review and would happily be a reference for Advantage Fencing. read more

We were looking for a quality product, willing to pay a little more for it, and like to do business with smaller local operations. We chose Advantage because of their ratings with BBB as well as reviews we read. Positive: In the end, Advantage builds a quality product. It was a much better quality product than we received with another company in town. Worth spending a little extra for. Negative: This was a huge disappointment to us, but Mike (the owner) was beyond unprofessional. I called with some legitimate concerns, and admittedly was frustrated with the communication. He rarely ever answers the phone, and there is no office number, just his cell. It takes a couple days to hear back. He treated us as if we were uneducated and gave us answers like "easy fix" instead of explaining how he was going to rectify some oversights. This poor communication resulted in misunderstandings about our project. He resorted to cursing and screaming, hanging up the phone....really we have no words for how awful the customer service experience was. Unfortunately we would not do business with them again, despite the ratings. The owner resorts to anger being disrespectful when there is a concern, and that's not how I expect to be treated as a customer. read more
