Frank and the crew from Flores Lawn Care did an excellent job on a major clean up in the front and back yards of my house. Due to recent rains there was major overgrowth and many weeds in both places. I got a response within 10 minutes to my first request for a quote, and they were very responsive to texts and phone calls about when they would be able to get to my place for a quote and when they would be able to work on my yards. Thank you Frankie for doing such an amazing job on our backyard. Our yard is all dirt, but now because of all the rain this year, our yard was nothing but 4' high weeds and dirt. Where to begin? Our backyard needed some deep cleaning after months of no maintenance. After contacting a few gardeners in our area yesterday, Javier was the only who contacted me back right away. He came by the same day for an in-person consultation and gave us a very reasonable quote for the amount of work that needed to be done. Javier and his assistant came by today to get the work done and I have to say, we are very happy with the finished work. They were on time, friendly and very professional. They did an amazing job. They completely cleaned up everything. Trimmed the palm trees, mowed the lawn, cleaned up the edges, and hauled off all the trash to the landfillp. This was a horrible experience!! He got back to us right away we had an appointment March 28, he responded and was suppose to come by the house Between 7 AM and 9 AM we were sitting here waiting in the morning for him Javier and I decided to check my emails and lo and behold something came up and he had to go to Tehachapi and said he was not able to come to the house. So I had asked him if he was still interested in the job and he said yes very much so I will be there tomorrow which would be March 29 between seven and 10 but lo and behold he was not here he had to take his kids to school he told me to text him when we got back from our appointment so that's what I did but oh his child was sick he was not sure if he could make it so he try to contact his mother supposedly and didn't respond to me until two hours later ! From when I get the guy!! is he lazy and has an excuse for every single day of the week not recommended to call ! read more

I have an elderly mother and can not die much work myself due to stage 4 cancer. Javier originally quoted us a price to remove some serious weeds that had sprouted after the winter rains. The price was reasonable for the work so we set a date. Unfortunately once we were ready to start the rains came back and it was more then a week until we could get started. As you can imagine, the weeds were totally out of control by that point and it was even more work to take care of them. Javier still went right to work with his crew, without asking for more money, and did an absolutely amazing job. Could not be happier, and wilm definitely hire then again when we are ready to landscape the yard. Would absolutely recomend to anyone who needs help with their yard. read more

Overall, Flores Landscaping did a fine job; however, it is in the communication and the small details that I'm disappointed in. I told Frankie that I needed both sides cleared and that I need new sprinklers. His understanding was that new sprinklers would be placed in the front and back and only one side would be done. Two areas didn't have proper sprinkler coverage. I asked him to make sure every area was covered. Why would I put sod in a place that couldn't be covered by the sprinklers. The sod in those areas turned brown. One sprinkler simply need adjustment. The other, I'm still trying to figure out. One sprinkler had no head and was under the sod. WTF. THEY LEFT A SPRINKLER UNDER THE SOD. No wonder there was a pool of water under the sod. The DG wasn't the kind that hardened, so when it rains, it affects the DG. Also, they should've put a weed cover under the DG. Now, I have weeds growing in the DG. The contract - really a work order without quantities - was not written in such a way that I could gauge that he had a different understanding of the work I wanted him to do. If you want to save yourself some trouble, you write the work order yourself and have him sign it. I think there was a communications barrier going both ways. I also asked him to provide me quotes for other work that I needed and he never got back to me. I would go somewhere else if I could find someone that could do the work. I wrote this review after 6 months because I felt like some people/companies retaliate against people who give them a bad review. At least now, I don't live at the house anymore. Like I said, overall, the job was fine - it is the communication, the contract, the digging to one side which is not what I wanted, and then nothing done (no weeds removed) to the other side, and the sprinkler underneath the sod that didn't reach some of the sod making it turn brown. Since Frankie didn't respond to my other work requests or issues, I had to hire someone else to fix the remaining issues. After I wrote the review, Frankie messaged and texted me saying that I got the best deal of 2020. Maybe that's true, but it isn't exactly what I wanted - but the sod does look good. read more

I called on June 2nd and was able to schedule an appointment for the very next day. Frank and I walked around my property and I told him my ideas for removing most plants, adding sod, putting in different plants etc. He offered no ideas but commented on the cracks in my driveway and suggested they could put in new concrete. I told him I wasn't prepared for that project. He said he would get back to me and left. As soon as I went back in the house he texted me pictures of newly concreted driveways and said "if you did your driveway your landscaping would be a whole lot cheaper, pretty much like a bonus". I replied that I wanted to look at his landscaping ideas/estimate first. I never heard back from him so I texted on June 15th to see if he had estimate and he never replied. I look for honesty and communication from service providers and that is what I found with Flores Landscaping. There was prompt contact made and continuous discussion, confirmation, and verification through the entire process. My backyard was neglected, but from pictures and judgement from Frankie we landed on a basic and maintenance friendly design. He came by twice to get measurements and to make sure he was correct and prepared. I appreciated the double check. He listened to me, he allowed me to participate in the DG selection and he took over and coordinated the drop off. He also noticed the DG delivery was short in skips and my color mix was not done. He contacted the yard quickly and discussed, they delivered and we agreed quickly on a design change that worked out better.
