Second session, he reviewed and manipulated very little then, he had to "move some things", left with a dolly and I didn't see him for easily 25-30 minutes. Third session, he also reviewed and did very little manipulation, but then again I was on my own. I left when time was up with no closure from Mike because he was working with another patient. Each time I was there, Mike told me that the way I walk was causing my ortho problems and he imitated me in an exaggerated way that wasn't helpful in my understanding the problem and figuring out how to improve it. Ivy was the only place that would guarantee the availability of short-term daily PT as requested by my surgeon (and covered by insurance). I was extremely fortunate to have treatment by Gregory B., who provided skilled, patient, effective care (no handing off to exercise technicians). He paid attention, answered questions thoroughly, made suggestions for different approaches, and was very kind and patient. The staff are diligent about cleaning surfaces, and the receptionists are excellent at handling appointments and other requests. There is plenty of parking, which is comped by Ivy. In addition to "routine" PT, the practice also offers other helpful treatment, such as dry needling - which helped me almost immediately - and for Meniere disease (vertigo). The vibe is excellent, not too crowded nor too loud and everyone is friendly and helpful.

I've never heard of dry needling until coming here but it was exactly what I needed. I usually don't like getting poked but it's really not bad cuz the needles are super thin and don't go that deep (like a tad bit more than acupuncture). I love how I never have to wait and usually they take me before my appt time, this is very important to me so I appreciate it! Dr. Timothy Yun is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I was desparate. What to do now?!! And then a friend recommended SPARK. I showed up with tears running down my eyes, my crooked frame and with little hope. After some tests Dr. Kristen diagnosed the issue and after a dry needling session I walked out of there like a human- with my back straight. After the second session my life was back to normal. After three sessions there to try to treat a shoulder/neck injury, I had not been given any dry needling that I asked for and felt that I was simply being rushed, as my therapist was always trying to move to his next appointment. In one hour with Matt, he found muscles in my shoulder that I didn't even realize were causing me problems and he FIXED THEM. It was literally amazing. By the end of the hour, I had already restored almost the full range of motion of my neck and head. It felt like 3 hours, but it was just an hour to diagnose, treat, and to give me stretches to do at home to prevent soreness. Worth every penny.

She worried that she was not helping me improve or that she wasn't helping and I truly appreciate her thoughts in making sure that I can recover fully. But ofc we did find out I have been improving! I'm probably her most troublesome patient as I always come in with something new since I have issues with both my hands. She is even handy with crafts and has taped me for support, and taught me how to do it myself! I also really appreciate Tony, the front desk person, who is super quick and is able to estimate what my medical bills will approximately look like. Every day chores became 3x harder because the slightest bit of movement caused shooting pain from my lower back down to the back of my right leg. I couldn't even lift my then one year old child without hurting myself. It felt like I had a spine of an 80 year old, at only 22. I saw various specialists and underwent different procedures but nothing helped to improve my back until physical therapy. From day one at this facility, Dale was attentive to my needs and was always encouraging me. I really liked that she challenged me every session and believed in my abilities when I didn't. She is very knowledgeable and helped me in finding ways to improve my posture, movement, sleep position, and home workout. They have no plans for improvement. The employee at the Arlington facility ogles and makes you feel uncomfortable. The equipments are broken, old and feel like being picked from a thrift store 50 years ago. They are not sanitized between use. The premises is infested with rats and you can see multiple at a time while exercising. They double charge, refuse to share receipts and it was exhausting to follow up with them again and again for every small thing. They don't have a team who is accountable.
