I have been using this company for over 30 years. I was a member and paid a yearly fee , but this is coming to an end. I am so disappointed. They are usual are great! My furnace went out on Friday the 1/13/24. They sent a tech out the same day. He tried to fix the problem but within hours it went out again. They came back and charged me over $200.00 to try and fix again. That lasted for about 3 hours. Finally we decided the unit needed to be replaced. A salesman came out a few days before Christmas and told us about new units and told us that he would get back to us. Now I know it wasn't going to be fixed during the holiday, but he could have called me back as he said he would. I called a different company they tried to fix the furnace but the same thing happened. The tech got it running and then it went out after 3 hours. So we had to bite the bullet and ordered a new AC and Furnace! We had a new one put in on 1/3/25 by another company! I'm still waiting for advantage to call me. We had no heat for 3weeks. I'm happy to be warm again no thanks to Advantage!! read more

Got behind van #80 of theirs, on I-40 coming out of Conway today and the driver wouldn't follow state law requiring him to move from the left lane and he was also all over the road. He swerved so bad at one moment that he almost hit a driver in the right lane. And probably would have if the other driver hadn't hit his brakes. Disturbing and very inconsiderate of others. Don't expect any meaningful conversations from this company. We paid for a service call for plumbing, The young man they sent was just out of high school and had no parts or knowledge of plumbing. We paid him for telling us what part to order and how to install it. When that didn't fix the problem, we were told he would come back at no charge. He came back and had an attitude. Adding to that, we received a bill for a fuel charge for him to come back. Amazing that a company that charges a hundred dollars to fix nothing can't afford to buy gasoline for their fleet. These folks will nickel and dime you. Beware! I have called twice to pay the bill and can't even get a return call from them. We also have an annual service contract with them that will not be renewed. And lastly, to add insult to injury, they included sales tax on a 20 dollar fuel bill. There was a miscommunication about the emailing of the completed invoice being emailed to me. But it was my failure to check my "Junk" folder for addresses not in contact list. The Tech, named Jerry, did an excellent job, cleared my problem in the kitchen, knew immediately that there might be a problem with bathroom room drain because it's right next to kitchen and took care of it. He even made sure there wasn't a leak at the meter. He definitely knew exactly what to do and did it. read more

Trent just did our yearly air conditioner check. Best we have ever had and we have been with Advantage for 30 years. No one has ever done such a thorough check on every thing. Hope you find some more like him. read more

Had new AC installed in my shop last year. The guy who installed it had retired so I called Advantage when it started blowing hot air. They came out and put 3 pounds of freon in and said they would have to come back for "leak detection" They came back 2 days later and found a loose nut in the line which Handed me a bill for almost $600 to tighten a loose flair nut and 3 pounds of freon. They will overcharge you Just talk to a person I know who has a rental properties and had Advantage come out because a unit was blowing hot air they told them that it was completely toast and would have to be replaced and quoted them $6000 to do the repair for a package unit. Fortunately my friend was smart enough and had another person look at it and said that The fans were completely called with dirt and grass and just needed to be cleaned and there was nothing wrong with the unit Advantage is a rip off do not use them read more

This used to be a good company but not anymore. They do take advantage of you though. We had a problem with one AC unit that we had bought from them that was around 8 years old. It was a top of the line expensive heat pump and was not working correctly but still working. We heard a racket from inside the house and when we went to investigate the employee had completely dismantled the unit saying "I can't find the leak".! So of course they wanted us to buy another top of the line unit from them to replace it because he had destroyed that one. We did go ahead and get a cheaper model because we had to have something right away at that point but will never use them again. read more

do not use this company. company came out to do a service call on the ac unit. it was time for our yearly cleaning of the unit and the company we previously used were booked too far out. tried this company due to the fact that they were the only ones with availabilty at the time. now i see why. the technican came out and assessed and determined that the lines were clogged and needed cleaning like we pretty much already knew. technician clean the lines and stated that he assessed the unit thoroughly and did not find any other problems. about an hour after he leaves, the temperature in the house starts to rise, two hours later it's now 80 degrees in my home and it has not gotten that warm ever before in the past. called the company and the customer service lady was very rude and condescending. all she had to say is that they would be charging double time to come back out. i dont expect free work, but i dont expect to be charged double time for a service that your technician obviously did not properly assess and fix. i could see if the issue arose weeks or even days later, but no this was within an hour of their service and they were notified immediately. i would give zero stars if i could, beware, they either employ technicians who don't know what they are doing or they are scamming people or they are improperly diagnosing issues purposefully in hopes of charging the double time. they will not get another dime of my money with the rude customer service. i would rather pay double time somewhere else than to deal with this company. read more

Took forever for tech to show up, quickly assessed the situation and applied a BANDAID! Lied to me about what he did and hit the road. Said he replaced fitting when he actually filled the spraying crack with gobs of solder. Finally give out today and my problem is back, thanks jackasses. Don't use this company for electric work. I was overcharged labor costs. I called the office to say i knew for sure the worker had not been there as long as he had charged me for, but no one ever called me back to apologize or correct the error. DON'T USE THEM for electrical work!! read more

My Company used Advantage to try to fix an AC unit in our warehouse. They claimed it could not be fixed and that parts were not available. So, we purchased a new unit from them and had it installed. This was in January and the heat on the unit worked fine. Come warm weather we found out that the unit they sold us had not been hooked up to a drain line and left water all over our floor. They sent a service man out and he said it would be extra $ to do that. I called the office and they claimed twice that they would call me back. they have not called back and the service man provided my warehouse with a bucket!! The old unit did NOT need a bucket!!!!!! They sold us and inferior product than what we had and will not make it right. I would NEVER use this company again. So at the end of the day we paid $1800 for something that does not work properly. I just don't think you should have to empty a bucket everyday for that kind of money. read more

Ashley B's account is absolutely ridiculous. She claims that I was told the unit was "not worth the repair" and "a that a new unit was highly recommended". All I can say is that these are flat out lies! I was told the inducer fan was rusted, but functional and that there was a good chance it would last for several more years. At no point was a replacement unit "highly recommended". I have a copy of an estimate for recommended repairs, nothing mentioned about replacement unit. All it takes is a little common sense to understand that this company dismantled my unit and within hours it was on fire. The most disturbing thing is the way I was treated after being out of my home more than thirty days and the damages that resulted from the fire. It is clear that this company would say anything to try to save face. This only serves as proof that if you treat customers right the first time you don't have to worry about the storm afterwards. read more
